Restaurant Pfistermühle München Reviews from The Last Year
Service at the highest level
Incredibly good service! The kitchen has room for improvement, but overall it's good. Thanks to the restaurant manager and the team for a wonderful evening. Collaboration is very important here. See you again very soon Thank you
Unacceptable prices and terrible quality
We went to this restaurant in the center of Munich, attracted by the rating of the reviews and the recommendation in the Michelin Guide.... A real trap for tourists... What about a soup 20 Euros, a fillet 40 Euros without a side dish. when we asked for the addition of bread (a total of 4 slices for two) they specified that they would make us pay for it, but the worst thing was that when I returned to the hotel I spent the night on the toilet...
P/L unfortunately not correct
The service is excellent. Guest service is a priority here. The Pfistermühle can easily keep up with the star restaurants. The ambience is very nice and harmonious, but unfortunately also thinly soundproof. As for the food. In short, the high price does not justify the quality and quantity of the course menus. The sorbet on champagne foam and the beef tartare were outstanding. Unfortunately, the veal fillet falls short. At €400, including frozen food, I simply expect more.
Excellent dining in Munich
Excellent experience and delicious food! We came for a very quick dinner but could not resist trying the wine, starters, and dessert. I would love to return for a full tasting menu or to spend the evening. Everything we ate tasted amazing and the service was top class. We could not spend more than 90mins, due to travel plans but the entire meal was prepared and served promptly, and we didn't feel rushed at all. Special mention goes to the kind and considerate team!
Suberb!!
This is was one of my favorite restaurants in all of Munich! The service, food and wine are outstanding. We went for a nice family lunch during the holidays and everything was wonderful. This one is a must try! The pumpkin soup and the duck were perfection.
Discreet
Well furnished and welcoming place. Fairly friendly service, the menu offering little variety. The dishes served give the idea of being ready and simply assembled at the last minute. Non-proportionate account.
Historic venue and excellent cuisine
Located in the historic centre, in a beautiful structure from the 1500s, the restaurant is divided into several rooms, with warm colours. Being a group of 75 people we had to divide ourselves into 4 rooms. Excellent service, very courteous and helpful, remarkable wine list. Medium-high level cuisine, mainly based on meat. The bread they make is also excellent. High prices: in total for a menu of 4 dishes we spent an average of €200 per person including wines
Wasted money
Reading the reviews and the Michelin recommendation, we went to this restaurant convinced that we had made the right choice to test a Bavarian cuisine that was not that offered by classic pubs or similar. First of all, going to a restaurant where the expected expense is more than €100 per person we would have expected, or rather we would have expected, professionalism and friendliness in the welcome... forget it. The table indicated was not to our liking and we politely asked if it was possible to move to one near the windows but, although the requested table was free and remained empty for the entire evening, we were denied. The waiter who took care of us asked us if we wanted to drink something before ordering and upon our request (we had not yet seen the wine list) for a glass of "franciacorta" with contempt and, demonstrating his total ignorance of the sector , he replied that we could go and drink it in Italy. At this point we would generally have gotten up and changed places but the time didn't allow us any alternatives. Once the prestigious wine list has arrived, an offer that is more expensive than quality, we order a bottle and, based on the recommendations written on the menu, a chateaubriand for two people. The wait for the dish (I remember that it is a dish that does not require who knows what kind of cooking) was about an hour, enough time to finish the ordered bottle before starting dinner and put up with a few more jokes from the friendly waiter. The quality of the meat was excellent (some would say... and let it be bad too) but this does not allow me to give a better opinion. Absolutely not recommended.
Modern and creatively interpreted regional cuisine in Munich's old town!
I discovered the Pfistermühle in the Michelin Guide. If you walk past the former ducal mill from 1573, you might expect a rustic Bavarian cuisine here. But the high-quality tables in front of the facade with lush vines spoke against this. The manageable outdoor area was only half full and so we had no problem getting a table on a weekday. The distance to the neighboring table with business people was very small, including information about life stories and real estate deals. What I mean is that confidential conversations could be difficult. But it was just a snapshot! The lunch offer was much better, 4 small courses (for a moderate €19.50) on a board (main course with either meat or fish) served within 15 minutes. Exactly my thing when I can try different components and get a good insight into the kitchen's performance. The kitchen is good and on my next trip to Munich, dinner would definitely be an option. The hot, finely aromatic wild herb foam soup with smoked paprika was very nice, and the strong jus with the perfectly cooked (sous-vide) veal fillet with rosemary potatoes and young corn was very successful. The roast beef with horseradish cream and the small fruity dessert appetizer were also convincing in terms of quality and taste, and with the fresh bread and salted butter beforehand, they were an ideal lunch portion. Good bread is a matter of course in the Pfistermühle. If you can already eat a decent pork knuckle at lunch, you should just walk a few houses further to the Platzl. Brettl 2 with purely vegetarian food and the additional small lunch menu were also tempting, and all of the dishes from the various Brettl are also available as an à la carte dish. I drank a Pinot Blanc from the von Winning winery (0.2 l/14.00 €), which I think was a little sporty for the solid quality wine from the Palatinate. We are not talking about higher quality von Winning wines here. However! Never change a winning wine! Impeccable service! The restaurant manager and the young man were extremely friendly, attentive, present and yet unobtrusive. Highly recommended! 4.5 points rounded to 5!
phenominal

Ask a Question |
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue? |
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
