The ambience is very nice, but the staff seems overwhelmed. The food is good, but you could expect more for the price.
Despite great location not recommended
On the second day of our trip to Heidelberg, we discovered the Rossini through the inviting entrance. But that's where the positives ended. At lunchtime, we wanted to reserve a table for six people outside for 5 p.m., which was almost impossible for the staff because there were too many of us. But we managed it with documented gratitude. At 5 p.m., 70-80% of the tables were unoccupied, and that remained the case until 7 p.m. It's unthinkable that there would have been 12 of us. Motto: find the mistake. The uninspired and completely haphazard service continued, if that was possible. The food then fit seamlessly into the bad overall impression. A bland carpaccio with a kilo of rocket emptied over it. The bread served with it must have been left over from Easter. The crowning glory was the pizzas. The dough tasted like a shoebox, I assume it was a ready-made baking mix. The pasta had a similar bland note, and now there is something else that could lead to at least one point besides the location: the meat dish - Saltimbocca - was edible to good. All in all, a disappointing composition.
The worst service you could get in Heidelberg.
I would do if I could bring the service down to ZERO. The waiters are poorly trained for serving people. They lack proper training in serving customers. The owner should ensure that the staff receive adequate training instead of allowing them to display a bad attitude towards customers and expecting customers to perform their duties which splitting the bills is a common thing to do in Germany. Also, the waiters should refrain from gossiping about customers at other tables, or at least at lower the voice and not letting the customers to notice it. The overall experience in this restaurant is awful because of the “well trained” staff. Not recommended at all. Ah one last thing, check the bill before paying, they extra charged us for something we never ordered =]
Very good food in a fairly loud atmosphere
The three of us came here with our friend, who had already been to the restaurant a few times before. The food was very good. We had Carpaccio Pesce Caviale and Mozzarella Buffala as starters. For the main course we chose the Risotto Tartufo, the Linguine with Scampi and the Tagliatelle Salmone. Everything tasted delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. The waiting time was reasonable. However, the whole restaurant was very loud, which was partly due to the overly noisy crowd and partly due to the music. We were able to communicate at a louder volume, which is not the point of conversation. Nevertheless, we would go back here just for the food.

The welcome was extremely hospitable and we were given a beautiful table even without a reservation. The menu was very varied and the food was of the finest quality. The staff stood out because they didn't stand out, but were always at the table to top up drinks or ask for a request as soon as you made eye contact. We spent an evening in a beautiful atmosphere at a more than reasonable price. The next visit is firmly planned. As much as I like using Tripadvisor and as good as the top recommendations usually are - I don't understand why the Rossini is in the lower middle range. If we had gone by that, we wouldn't have visited a gem after leaving the River Café opposite, which is also highly recommended...

You can really spend a good evening here. The food is very good. Conversation in a larger group is only possible to a limited extent, as the music in the restaurant is too loud, almost like in a disco.
Hospitality and excellent cuisine
Four of us came without a reservation. From the first to the last moment we experienced friendliness and attentive service. Antipasti, fish, pasta dishes and the dessert variety were a delight made from the freshest ingredients and excellently prepared. We had a harmonious, fantastic restaurant visit. We were very impressed by the service, cuisine, atmosphere and ambience. We look forward to seeing you again soon!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this feeling of happiness.
A pity!
An incredibly beautiful ambience, and three years ago the staff were friendly too. For about a year now, you no longer feel welcome. The staff are so cold that you can no longer enjoy the fantastic ambience. What a shame!
Nice ambience, good food, questionable service.
It could have been nice, we came on recommendation. The ambience was pleasant and promising. The food - pizza and pasta - was good, the slices of bread (sesame baguette) served beforehand were dry. In comparable restaurants, at least one bruschetta is usually served as an appetizer. The payment process was very strange: we wanted to pay together. Instead, the service employee came with a smartphone calculator and typed in the respective dishes and drinks frantically and separately. The amounts mentioned were 1-2€ higher than the prices on the menu and on the homepage. We did not see or receive a bill, unlike the lady at the next table. Card payment was not desired, the employee insisted on cash payment and even offered a small discount. We will not be coming back.
Fraud/rip-off = no recommendation, won't come back!!
Very disappointing evening. Including fraud. We had reserved a specific table for two people. When we arrived, we were told that this and other tables were only for 3 people. Disappointed, we took a small table. The order was fairly quick. The food was simple, but good. The waiter who served us was not particularly attentive or friendly. The tables that were denied to us were gradually occupied by 2 people. Very strange. The bombshell came at the end: an incorrect bill! Friends have experienced this before in this restaurant. An additional bottle of wine was charged. At the time, we thought it was a misunderstanding. Based on Google reviews we read today, this seems to be a system here! We had two bottles on the bill instead of one. When we spoke to the waiter, he said that he had informed his colleague of the standing order and knew exactly that two bottles had been charged. Absolute fraud! When we spoke to the waiter, he started arguing instead of admitting his mistake and offering a dessert/espresso or something similar on the house for the inconvenience caused. You would imagine a pleasant and enjoyable evening differently. It's a shame that the otherwise beautiful ambience is ruined by waiters who are unfriendly and deceitful. Definitely not recommended.

Rossini has a full on restaurant as well as a quick take out on the Hauptstrasse. You purchase your choice by the slice. The slices are huge!

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

I see with my user status I can only cashout $1,500 a week. However is my monthly linit also that same $1,500? That doesnt make sense. Why even have caps, the sales went thru and its 2 days after by the time you release the hold to me. The monthly cap of $1500 (if thats what it is) really limits your good sellers profit potential as of that $1500 only a fraction is profit as the reservations cost a lot to reserve anyways at Carbone and Torissi.
Hoping the weekly is $1500 and the monthly is a glitch you can fix for me.

Forget trying to snipe reservations online by waking up early and booking top restaurants at Carbone or Tatiana or Cote or 4Charles. After 2.5 months of booking reservations by setting up alarms, waking up early to sell appointments. It’s very hard to cash out on this app. During cash out, you have to pay $5 fee +3% transactions fee and max payout per day is $150.
Advice to new users:
- do not mass book reservations
- fill bids only
- don’t try to book reservations online, you need connections and call the restaurant
After putting in about 40 hours of work, I’ve made about $750 sale on this platform but gotten paid $0. Take this with a grain of salt.
