Overall would say a 4.
5. Ambiance is nice but the music didn't make the overall vibe. Also liked our server and felt she was proactive, kind, and thoughtful. Food was delicious! We had the wagyu skewer which was tender and flavorful. As an appetizer, the real star is their cabbage with almonds and pancetta. So much flavor and just a stunning dish. We also had the tagliatelle and bucatini which were both very tasty and fresh. The bucatini was hearty and the lamb tagliatelle was actually pretty bright and acidic. I had a mellow yellow cocktail which was also very good. Smooth, silky and even a fave for my partner who isn't a big drinker or a lover of mezcal. Overall a great experience and I'd be back again and again. Only notes were parking and a little exchange when we arrived (15 minutes late-- we emailed and tried to call) felt a smidge icy but overall... all good. Instagram: bswank_ TikTok: bswankk

Be the first to ReplyMy daughter suggested this restaurant in her neighborhood
My daughter suggested this restaurant in her neighborhood when I was in town for the night. The space had a great ambience - exactly the kind of urban restaurant I enjoy so much. We started our meal with the Caesar Salad and Arancini which were both really good. My daughter had the Bucatini and I went for the Fusilli Pesto. They were both deliciuous! We also each got a Garlic Knot which was amazing - so much butter and garlic! I topped it off with the chocolate sorbet, which was a great way to finish!
Be the first to ReplyFrom the owners of top-rated Tail Up Goat, Reveler's Hour
From the owners of top-rated Tail Up Goat, Reveler's Hour has been on my list for awhile. When they released their Valentine's Day menu, my wife and I snagged a slot at one of their high-top tables. Here's our experience. 1) Food: The Valentine's Day special included three courses where we each picked an item from a list of options. To start, the Kohlrabi Caesar Salad and Grilled Red Cabbage were both delicious, especially the Ceasar Salad. For the second course, we both got the bucatini with spicy pork ragu, pickled green garlic, basil, and pecorino. The flavor was there, but the spice wasn't. It didn't have a kick to it. It also was a little dry, but still tasted good. We added the garlic knot to our second course for $5. A cross between a savory doughnut and croissant, they melted in our mouths. The Olive Oil Cake was dense, moist, and delicious. We chose to eat the citrus it came with after the cake v. with it. 2) Drinks: Their drink list includes wine, cocktails, and more. In February, they partnered with Latin American wine store Grand Cata to highlight Chilean wines. The Orange Sauvignon Blanc was refreshing. 3) Service: Despite being fully booked, we didn't feel rushed. Our server was friendly, attentive, and guided us through her recommendations. She even brought over a tasting of a red wine to go with our second course. 4) Price: It was $180 per person for the Valentine's Day meal, a little less expensive than other restaurants in the city. Wine and the garlic knot were extra. 5) Space: Along a busy street with street parking, the space is larger than expected. There's a front room and a back room with a well-lit bar in between. The restrooms have on-brand quirky drawings on the walls. 6) Located on the Lanier Heights-Adams Morgan border, there's a lot to do in the area from walking to Malcolm X Park to trying other restaurants and cafes. There's a plethora of street art nearby too.

Love having this spot in the heart of Adams Morgan. The ambiance is amazing - cozy and warm and very welcoming. Had great service of course. Would recommend the garlic knots and the cabbage, and you can't go wrong with any pasta dish. I appreciate the seasonal pasta dishes as well! The drink menu is great and they offer 1/2 glasses of wine which is fun to try nicer wines without a crazy price tag. Perfect for a seat at the bar or special occasion dinner.
Be the first to ReplyA+ for service and ambience - really excellent waitstaff
A+ for service and ambience - really excellent waitstaff and experience. F for food and drinks - super expensive and no good. Wine was barely drinkable and the cabbage thing... Jeeze. Keep the front replace the back.
Be the first to ReplyAtmosphere and service were great.
The food was okay, garlic knots were too greasy and all the dishes lacked flavor. There was a burrata dish when we went and that was quite good.

Reveler's Hour has a really great ambiance and super friendly service. I sat at the bar and had: - Grilled cabbage (5/5) - This was a really memorable and surprising dish. The savoriness of the sauce and toppings combined so well with the flavor and texture of the purple cabbage for an excellent dish. - Lamb tagliatelle (4/5) - Good pasta and good sauce make for a solid dish. - Almond cake (4/5) This is definitely a place I want to come back to.

Here last Saturday and overall very good (with a few misses). First the interior is really lovely but very dark, TOO DARK. They brought over a little reading light for a few minutes before they had to take it away for another table. If they keep it this dark, they really need a light element in the middle of the table. The cocktails were very good. The food was good. Started with garlic knots (okay, not much garlic flavor), calamari (very tender), beet salad (tasty) and arincini (not super memorable). For entrees, steak, 2 pasta dishes and I had the pork chop. Everything was good. Dessert was underwhelming. Two of us ordered the lemon curd in some pastry and what came were essentially buns stuffed with whip cream, not even a hint of lemon (!). We all devoured the ice cream though, Cherry was my fav.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely delicious food and cute place.
Our party of two had dinner here. We started with the eggplant arancini and marinated beets. Both were delicious, but I especially love the eggplant. The crispy, fried ball has so much flavor. My main dish was the pork milanese. I highly recommend trying the milanese. It's a huge piece of crispy pork, served with a side salad. Great presentation and delicious too. I don't quite remember what the sauce is, but it goes well with the pork. I thought the space was average noise and quite intimate. This was on a Saturday evening. Looks like they can even accommodate large-ish parties, as I saw a table of at least 12 people. Service was fast and friendly. They had a lot of staff running around. Parking is terrible in the area. Try to avoid driving...I'm serious.
Be the first to ReplyWow wow wow this is an amazing place! My friend and I did
Wow wow wow this is an amazing place! My friend and I did not have a reservation but we decided to give it a shot on a Friday night around 8 pm. Much to our delight, they were able to accommodate us and gave us a high top table in the bar area. The service was great, our server answered all of our questions about which dishes could be prepared without meat and what an ingredient was in one of the appetizers. The menu also says it has a 22% service fee so at least it's clear up front. When we got the bill, it was also stamped with the fee. We ended up getting the rapini to share, which I highly recommend. It was perfectly blanched and the sauce was an incredible balance of acid and salt. My friend and I each ordered a pasta dish for our main. It looks like the menu rotates seasonally. I ordered the malfade with pork ragu, kale, breadcrumbs, and cheese. It was so rich and delicious. My friend ordered the chitarra with garlic and oil and also enjoyed it. In addition to the excellent food and service, the restaurant is beautiful and has great ambiance. It's not too dark or too loud, but certainly has mood lighting and feels special, almost festive.
Be the first to ReplyGreat date night at Reveler's Hour.
We participated in a wine event with Florent Pageoles, which meant there was a special dinner and wine menu. Food was delicious, wine was excellent. My only complaint of the night was the music was too loud and I didn't understand the vibe.

I had a great meal here during my recent weekend in Washington. I was a solo diner, which is awkward in some restaurants, but Revelers Hour made me feel very welcome. I started with the mushroom arancini, and for an entree, I had the mafalde, and both were outstanding. To drink, I had the sparkling Syrah, which was a perfect complement to both items. I wish I had ordered the garlic knots, as they looked amazing, but I will definitely get them next time. One note is that the bar seating is very tight. A couple that was seated next to me ended up moving to one of the high tops in the bar area so they could have a little more space.

MOUTH-GASM to THE MAXXXX!!!! Hells YESSSS I recommend this place. YALL. I was having a long day and I ALMOST skipped coming here with my boos but boy am I glad that I came out. I had to start a new paragraph just for the food cause Zaaaammmmnnn!!! Okay so the place is small and if you are walking too too fast you will miss it. But i love RH and I will BE BACK!! The firsts that we had were spot on y'all and out waiter was the most amazing; sweet and accommodating and not rushing us or anything like that. He took his time and explained everything quite well. BUT LET ME GET TO THE THINGS OKAY. The garlic knots y'all... RESUSCITATE ME NOW CAUSE I PASSED OUT!!! They are so stinking good. Sooo, Brandon (I think that was our waiter's name... or James) I asked him what them Gaelic knots was talking about and he was like "OMG, so good, it's like a cross between a croissant and a beignet." And so I look at him sideways cause I FREQUENT the great STATE of New Orleans lol (I know it's a city, chill the f out!) and so I was like lemme see if he lying so he brings us the stuff out and we try em or whatever. BUT WHEN I TELL YOU!!!! That garlic knot hit my mouth and it was all she wrote. We all looked at each other and just rolled our eyes in absolute bliss! We liked them so much, I told B to run it back cause I felt like they were trying to swindle us... so we had another round of knots with our pasta dishes and ladies and gents, it was not a hoax! They so got zamnnn good! The bucatini pasta was so rich and robust in flavor, I meannnn, lamb sausage!!!! OKAY!! B also gave us ladies each a glass of Vouvray Brüt and I almost got two bottles to-go, IT WAS JUST THAT GOOD TOO!!! All in all, 20 stars!!! GET HERE NOW!!! Lastly, you know the food is good. The hours are like 5p-9p lol... I need this kinda job with these kinds of hours !!!! Oh and the manager, James... so handsome and sweet too!!! And if these aren't the right names RH team, I apologize!!! BUT Y'ALL DID THAT SO THANKSSS!!!
Be the first to ReplyLove this place! The ambience is very date night friendly -
Love this place! The ambience is very date night friendly - dark and cozy but inviting. It's definitely in the pricey side but honestly the food was great and for that we will go again. You have to get the garlic knots! It's an unassuming menu item but they are fried pieces of dough with the lightest fluffy interior. We also got the rapini which had a wonderful savory sauce that complimented the bitterness. I loved the pistachios in the bucatini and the sausage was pretty spicy but paired well with the more muted creamy sauce.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is really good, the service is excellent.
My only knock on this place is that for the price I would expect a better portion. They are really small, so as an average seize man you will need at least two entrees to not leave hungry.

Went here for a little girls night and will definitely return. Everything was delicious and the menu was very thought out. The garlic bread and pork belly were to die for. I would definitely recommend.
Be the first to ReplyI can't think of a better place to spend an evening in DC
I can't think of a better place to spend an evening in DC than the cozy and inviting Reveler's Hour. The menu is streamlined, but you can be assured every single thing on it is incredible. The garlic knots are an absolute must have- they are extraordinary, and so flaky and decadent that they're more like little beignets or croissants, not at all the chewy/doughy garlic knots I'm used to having. The pasta menu is updated regularly, but we've never had a bad thing. Recently, we loved the bucatini with pistachios and lamb sausage and the mafalde with roasted pork ragu; the celery root ravioli is also really unique and special. You truly cannot go wrong, though- even the grilled rapini we had was extraordinary and memorable. The wine list is extensive and has a lot of unique options that pair well with the menu- this is the place to try something unexpected (like a Slovenian pet nat, which was surprisingly incredible!). The ambiance inside is intimate, and is mostly lit by candlelight, but every single table seems to be having a good time- it can get a tiny bit loud/boisterous, but not to the point where it's difficult to hear your dining companions. It feels like the kind of place where every table goes to have a good time, and I can easily see being a regular here if you live nearby. We have also had standout service every time we've gone (thank you to Justin for a particularly memorable evening with excellent wine recommendations!). It felt like everyone truly cared about us enjoying our food, and they were willing to make small modifications when we had questions about certain dishes. Reveler's Hour is a true gem!
Be the first to ReplyWe'd wanted to try reveler's hour for a while and finally
We'd wanted to try reveler's hour for a while and finally did so. Small but thoughtful menu and busy without being crowded. We had the tagliatelle with oxtail and celery root ravioli. Both were delicious and would order again. James the beverage manager mixed some very interesting drinks since I didn't feel like ordering any of the several cocktails listed. Menu and wine list in the photos.Service was good.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, great vibes.
I'm rating this place 5/5 with one caveat - my partner and I consulted with the sommelier and gave him a very clear budget and flavor profile for a bottle. He had us sample three wines and had us choose our preference. Because of the clear budget we gave him, I did not question the cost of what we sampled or chose. Unfortunately when our bill came, we realized we chose something over our budget. we enjoyed the bottle so we paid and tipped generously, however, I found this to be unprofessional behavior for a sommelier who should vocal about suggesting something out of a patrons preferences. TLDR-if you consult with the somm and cost is a factor in your decision, make sure you find out the cost of the bottle he suggests before you drink it :)
Be the first to Replyate at the bar on a friday night.
i thought service was subpar with EK not loving their job (or maybe just not loving their guests). felt i need to make them feel better to enjoy my experience. pretencious vibe. i know you have a lot of good reviews but doesn't mean you should be snobby... be cool reveler's hour - you have promise. food -- heirloom - INCREDIBLE ; cacio e pepa - quite borning. drinks -- roma AMAZING. else eh. all this with a forced 22% service charge makes zero sense.
Be the first to ReplyVisited Reveler's Hour and could not recommend this place
Visited Reveler's Hour and could not recommend this place enough. I ordered the spring pesto cavatelli and my mom ordered their twist on spaghetti pomodoro. The food was divine. The service was impeccable and attentive. A little loud in volume, but would recommend the bar area if that is something that bothers you.
Be the first to ReplyI've been here twice now and really enjoyed it both times!
I've been here twice now and really enjoyed it both times! The first time, we came with some friends and sat in the dining area, and the second time my husband and I sat at the bar. Both times the service was fantastic. Attentive without being overbearing, which is just how I like it. The first time we went we got the brussels and the octopus to start and then various pasta dishes. The brussels were delicious and my friends raved about the octopus. On our most recent visit I had the tagliatelle with a bolognese sauce and my husband had the lumache. Both were excellent and I'm not sure I could pick a favorite. I really should have gotten a picture but we were too busy digging in! We also split the pecorino cake for dessert - my husband really enjoyed it but it wasn't my favorite. The texture was great (very light and fluffy) but I just didn't love the flavor of it. They have a pretty eclectic wine selection as well. We were debating about a few different bottles and our server seemed knowledgeable and helped us pick. All in all I've really enjoyed both of my visits here and will definitely be back!

I was visiting a friend who lives locally and she brought us here. Great ambiance, helpful waitstaff, and delicious food. The menu changes frequently but we were able to decide on a few things to share with our group of three. We tried the meatballs, garlic knots, and arancini to start off and they were all wonderful! We shared a few pastas and the half chicken for our entrees and all were delicious! No leftovers here. The food and drink are higher priced but you really get what you pay for. Overall a flawless enjoyable experience.
Be the first to ReplyIf you want a Michelin star dinner without the Michelin
If you want a Michelin star dinner without the Michelin star price - look no further. This was one of best dinners I've ever had. The couple next to me has been there so many times and says the menu changes frequently since they use a lot of in season vegetables and ingredients. My dinner experience was at 5:30 PM (last minute reservation time slot, highly recommended to reserve in advance). My friend and I ordered a bottle of wine from their amazing, natural and sulfate free wine menu - We went with a light merlot ($56ish). For apps we ordered the english pea arancini with fontina cheese and calabrian chili and grilled octopus with red onions, castelvetrano olives and aleppo honey. These are two apps that consistently change with different ingredients and fillings. The arancini was one of the best I've ever had, filled with green peas and then in the middle of that some melted oouy-gooey cheese. Delicious. For our mains, I ordered the emmer spaghetti alla chitarra with wood roasted mushrooms, shallots, chive mascarpone and calabrian chili oil. The spaghetti was ramen noodle like and I LOVED every minute of eating it. The mushrooms were very fresh and the creamy mascarpone sauce was very satisfying. For dessert (yes we ordered dessert) we got the pecorino cake with citrus preserves, fennel dulce de leche and candied hazelnuts. The dessert was my least favorite dish - and I think it's mainly because of the sauce. The cake itself was amazing and I just wish there was a different flavor. This dessert is something that is always on the menu and constantly changing as well. Our service was amazing and the server was very attentive. I wish we had this restaurant in Miami....But I guess I need to just visit DC again!
