Calming lunch in a beautiful space
RH Rooftop Restaurant in South Park, Charlotte is perched on the 3rd floor of Restoration Hardware, a luxury furniture store. Its design and art forward offering a unique experience that blends residential design inspiration with dining. The ambiance is calming with a center fountain spectacle. Itโs an upscale restaurant with typical American food offerings. Itโs a picturesque setting with gorgeous crystal chandeliers and grape trees. I had the arugula salad with grapes and shrimp. It was crisp and crunchy and the shrimp were served cold cocktail style. Such a beautiful space. I really enjoyed my lunch.
Be the first to ReplyA great place for couples or girls night out! Beautiful ambience. Very classy and elegant. My kind of place!
Absolutely Beautiful Restaurant !! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was good! Very pricey. I had the lobster roll and truffle fries. Both were tasty and filling! The RH Bellini was amazing! I will definitely return in the future.

The setting is beautiful. Crystal chandeliers and glass ceiling next to an expansive rooftop terrace. The service was lovely. The tables nicely set. So it came as a bit of a disappointment that thereโs such a limited and unimpressive menu with over the top prices ($30 hamburgerโฆ).
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance & DELICIOUS Food
While walking through the furniture gallery, we instantly realized that RH is a next-level experience! We purposely took the stairs up to the 3rd floor (to see the decor), where we met by such a beautiful setting. The hostess/host were not engaged/welcoming and attempted to seat us (hubby & me) at a table for 6. I requested a 2 top, which was far better and still allowed us to enjoy the true BEAUTY and ambiance of this lovely restaurant!! Our server was accompanied by a trainee, and both were extremely attentive, kind and knowledgeable!! We ordered lemonade, the RH burger, (one with pork belly), truffle fries and the other with regular fries ( a la carte). There's only one way to describe lunch...SUBLIME!!!!! Although Raleigh, NC is getting a RH, until then, we can't wait to return to the Charlotte location and try some of the other items on the menu. "You get what you pay for" couldn't be more accurate, as the $22 cheeseburger, $7 pork belly and $20 truffle fries were worth every coin!! Please don't let the price point discourage you...the food, drinks, service and setting are worth every coin!

What an experience we had at RH Charlotte! We celebrated my sisterโs 39th birthday and could not have had a better experience. The beauty in this place is something that has to be seen in person. We explored each floor and was so amazing by how beautiful everything was. The ambiance was amazing and there were so many beautiful chandeliers throughout the restaurant as well as the lower levels. We enjoyed the bacon and charcuterie board appetizers. We also absolutely loved the salmon and lobster rolls. Get the peach Bellini, you wonโt regret it. The truffle fries were addictive and my salad was a perfect addition. What made this a memorable experience is our waiter Diego. He explained every item to us and in my opinion is what true hospitality represents! We made many requests and he did not once hesitate to make them happen. So the RH Rooftop had a forever customer and we pray Diego never leaves!! Thank you so much for the amazing experience!
Be the first to ReplyFabulous Place - Can be Noisy
Have dined here a few times but got behind on my reviews! Please make sure to RSVP and if you want to spend time outside, make sure they will allow this! The menu has not changed much so I do not visit more frequently. In addition, a glass of wine starts @ $20 so if you do not have that in your budget, you better love beer. :-) The burger, salmon and Shaved Ribeye sandwich are really good. The view and atmosphere are amazing, but the room can be very loud.
Be the first to ReplyMust check it out, and the interior design studios are winderful
The service the food the ambience were fantastic. You Don't sit outside for dinner but it was like being outside. It was all windows and open doors. The only thing I would suggest is more lighting outside on the patios. It would have been nice to sit out there on the couches and chat after dinner, bit it was very dark. I HIGHLY recommend it!
Be the first to ReplyPretty but Pricey
We enjoyed our entire experience, but would probably not pay this much for a basic meal again. The building is gorgeous. There is an elevator to the left of the entrance inside that will take you to the rooftop restaurant. After reading some of the reviews on here, I'm guessing we lucked out with our waiter, as he was very attentive. Skip their version of "sweet" tea. Glass of unsweet tea, and small creamer of "sweetener", with no packets available. Coke comes in a small glass bottle at $5 a pop, so don't expect a refill. I do not think the RH burger is worth $22, nor the Shaved Ribeye on garlic bread worth $30, but it was delicious. Restrooms are 6 closet rooms with sink/toilet. Was able to take a few phone selfie photos on the patio, but don't show up here with professional cameras expecting to take alot of photos. Took time to walk through the showroom downstairs and take some additional photos. Was able to sit on the $20k cloud couch, which I read some people were chased off of. We enjoyed the entire experience, but not sure if we would go back.
Be the first to ReplyDonโt bother, to many other great places on the same block
Pretty butโฆ.had a burger, 2 of the thinnest paddies of meat and not much flavor. Seem like the institutional burger you got in a school lunch. It had a dijonaise sauce that was so salty that may have wiped out any flavor the was. Definitely not worth the $22

Not sure I would return. My lobster roll was excellent as was the gem salad. (Loved the avocado chunks!) Hubbyโs burger was ok, patty was frozen -not fresh @ $22. Nieceโs avocado toast was bigger than she was-there had to be 2 lbs of avocado on it. Daughterโs half chicken had to be recooked (? Their explanation) and finally came out when we were all done :( I also called ahead to ask for a table in the shade if possible since Iโm a 6 time skin cancer survivor-and was told it was noted on our reservation by a young man. The 2 hostesses at arrival were not aware of it and even after asking, tried to seat us in a partially shaded table. But were pleasant enough to seat us at a fully shaded table when I pointed it out. It is also very noisy there with little to absorb sound-even after adjusting my heating aids to restaurant mode.
Be the first to ReplyGorgeous & delicious experience!
I took my friend here today for a girls birthday lunch based on a TikTok someone made about places to see in Charlotte. This place didnโt disappoint! The building & decor is just gorgeous ~ so much to take in! We relaxed and strolled thru everything after our lunch & a few drinks. There are two floors of their actual showroom & the third/top floor is the restaurant. I made reservations a few days ahead on OpenTable. The food was delicious ~ ohh the burrata, so yummy! The shaved prime rib sandwich was on point & easy to share. We also got the truffle fries ~ I couldโve licked the bowl! I didnโt ;) โฆthe peach Bellinis were so good as well! It is a little pricey but considering this was an โexperienceโ, it was worth it in my opinion. The service all around was awesome as well ~ from the ladies in the showroom to the greeters at the restaurant to our waitress!
Be the first to ReplyRestaurant is pretty but food an service are very disappointing.
First, the good about this place is that it is truly very nice inside. It sets the stage for great insta pics, especially in the evening. You can do this for free by simply just walking into the place from either the elevator or stairs and pic you spot for photos. Then, leave and dine elsewhere. I am always one to look at the glass half-full so the only take away is the atmosphere. Once we were seated, the experience began to head down the wrong path. It started first with our server. My sister-in-law ordered sweet tea. We were told they don't have sweet tea. My daughter then ordered the unsweet tea and just asked for splenda/sweet-in-low. When he returned, he brought the tea and a small pitcher that contained simple syrup. That is the very definition of sweet tea. Oh, and they don't have artificial sweetner packets. So that was the first facepalm moment. The next was when I ordered club soda with lime. They only offer bottled Pellegrino. What decent bar can't provide club soda? Moving onto to our meal. Things did come out in a reasonable amount of time except for my nieceโs entree. She and I ordered the same thing so I offered her half of my meal. 10 mins or so later, the server came by with her meal and apologized for the delay. But by that time, all of us were half way finished with our meal. For the prices they charge for the food, I would expect it to be better than the average pub. Nothing about my beef sandwich wowed me in any way. My sister-in-law had the shrimp cocktail and she said they were good but again, for the price, it wasn't worth it. Our server, in the meantime, was also scarce at best. My two daughters and nieces wanted to get a few pics, which they did. While my sister-in-law and I waited at the table, the server finally came by with 2 plates of cookies and a candle. He asked if we were celebrating a birthday. We said no so he said, well enjoy the cookies anyway, lit the candle and then walked away. Keep in mind that at this point it was just me and my sister-in-law sitting at the table. This should give you an idea of how much attention he really paid to our party. The cherry on top was when my oldest daughter had gone to the rest room. She had a boot on her foot due to an ankle injury. It got caught in the door as she was coming out of the restroom causing her to stumble. Two workers felt it was better to laugh as she fell rather than asking if she was okay. When she came back to the table to tell us that was it for me. Unfortunately, I was not able to find a manager. When we got home, my brother decided to call and talk to the manager directly. He has worked in customer service and to his credit said the manager needs to know so they can fix problems. He was very professional and the manager seemed receptive to his feedback. We were told that we would hear from the manager regarding possible credit for our meal. That was 10 days ago so I now feel the need to write this review. We never received any word back. My check for 3 adults it was $165 without drinks or appetizers. Needless to say, we won't ever go back. Final takeaway...feel free to visit the property and take advantage of many great photo spots. Then LEAVE and don't eat there. You will only come away completely disappointed.
Update as of 3/31/22--Manager has contacted my brother and is issuing a full refund for our check. I Felt it was only fair to make that point. My impressions of the restaurant remain unchanged but the manager did get back in touch with us so I did want to provide that update and go from poor to average for my rating.
Good dining experience.
Nice venue, great service, good food, We had chicken, lobster roll, ribeye sandwich, truffle fries, sliced vegetable salad and fried artichokes. All was good. Artichokes were excellent, entrees were above average. The truffle fries are overrated in my opinion, other reviews speak highly of them.
Great atmosphere but basically overpriced for what you get. You are paying for the service, decor, and environment.
I will go back but for special occasions.
Once and never go back!
WAY over Price!
2 Salads
a Salmon ( no side...I mean no side!) but perfectly cooked!
French fries ( side for the salmon ..yes..extra..$10 for frozen Sysco or US food fries)
a beer, glass and a glass of wine and a sprite
TOTAL $120!!!!
If you are looking to spend $120, go somewhere else!
Other than that.. it's a beautiful restaurant and if it's your birthday, you'll get a cookie with a candle.
Service was OK
This place is a Wow!
I always try to read tripadvisor reviews before trying a new high end restaurant.
There were many reviews that did not like the food. My experience was that the ambience was upscale and stunning and the food was very good!
We had the artichoke appetizer that was delicious and the truffle fries were also very good. I had the burger and it was delicious! Others in my party had the grilled cheese and salad with shaved veges. They both really liked their meals.
Also, the service with Hayley was wonderful!
A great, memmorable experience all around!!
Trying too hard to project an image
I was excited to try this place. It hearkens back to the days of fine department stores having an excellent restaurant as well. RH Restoration missed the mark. For a brand that positions themselves as having excellent quality products and above and beyond customers service, they aren't getting it done here. The food was just okay. I like the menu selection but if the food isn't good, then the variety doesn't matter.
The service was decent, but it almost seemed as though they were trying to project a pretentious atmosphere, as though that makes the dining experience more exclusive.
The best part of dining is the setting of the roof top atrium, it was cooled well despite the hot August exterior.
While I'm glad I went, I see little reason to go again.
Enjoyable evening with delicious small plates and upscale decor
Lovely rooftop setting at an all home furnishing store. I didn't really expect the food to be as good as it was. The lobster roll and truffle fries were delicious as was the artichoke appetizer. Often lobster rolls can be tough and rubbery, this was not the case at the RH Rooftop. The service was very good considering the crowd and I am not easily impressed. The prices are steep for the menu items but were well presented so they were not disagreeable. It's not a restaurant with a James Beard winning chef, but enjoyable and pleasing.

Tried this RH Rooftop Charlotte several times -- Extremely disappointed. Very inconsistent quality. As explained to me by a manager - the food is prepared well in advanced - then finished when they have an order. This resulted in our entrรฉes being dry as dirt. One dinner was horrible service and we were told the kitchen has problems tonight. Once we reserved a specific table per manager's instructions; called the day of our reservation to be sure table would be held for us (it was our anniversary). When we arrived on time found our table was not held as they said they would. We were told that the people at the table had been there for well over an hour. But when we asked the people at our table - they indicated that they had just arrived 10-15 mins ago. So we were lied to. Bad food, inconsistent quality, being lied to. Just a terrible customer experience.
Be the first to ReplyOne and DONE!
The resturant is very pretty, has great ambiance and awesome staff, however you do not come here b/c of the food! This is a place you need to go to once and be done as the food is mediocre with farm to table kind of food pricing!
The best items we ate were the Burrata appetizer and the burger which with bacon is $26 and that did not include the fries. My $30 lobster rolll consisted of one lobster claw (meat wise) in a literal hot dog bun with zero taste and that did not include a side either.
The menu is super limited and the prices are super high for what it is. They should revamp their menu, offer a few more options and change their prices to be more in line with a cafe as this is not afarm to table like food, which is the prices they are charging. Our bill was $225 for four of us and we had no wine and no dessert.
This is definitely a high end furniture store but it does not warrant the high end food prices whatsoever. Like I said ONE AND DONE!
Food with a view!
Itโs a must try for the atmosphere alone! What a really cool restaurant!
Highly recommend making reservations ahead of time, too!
Itโs located on the 3rd floor of Restoration Hardware store.
The food is so good! We ordered apps, entrees and dessert.
Server was attentive. We were a party of 5 adults and 1 child.
Only odd thing was that food didnโt come out at the same time. But they said it never happened and was surprised to see that it happened.
Everything was delicious!!
Will definitely be returning!
A gorgeous, huge sunroom on the top of the building. Wonderful experience! Make a reservation.
Beautiful restaurant on the top of the gorgeous Restauration Hardware building! Leisurely, memorable dining! Great hamburgers, plus fine dining. Pricey, but a very special experience. Very friendly staff. Nice casual, not coat and tie. (Only a five or ten minute walk from the highly recommendable Hampton Inn & Suite Hotel down the street.) Very popular - make a reservation.
Be the first to ReplyVery Trendy and Sophisticated, but Menu is limited
This restaurant is beautiful-linen tablecloths, crystal chandeliers, and has a sophisticated type of atmosphere. They serve only beer and wine, and unfortunately they were out of the wine we ordered, but they suggested something else for us. We had the Burratta appetizer, and enjoyed that. My Salmon Entree was delicious, too! The menu is limited and on the pricey side, since everything is all carte. It is a cool concept, and hopefully they will be successful! I definitely would prefer it if they would offer Craft Cocktails, though:)
