Delicious Dinner in Trastevere
Ordered spaghetti alle vongole off the menu and they were happy to accommodate us. Had the fish cooked in salt and it was one of the best we have ever eaten: tender and juicy. Sides of artichoke and roasted potatoes were perfect. Staff was as friendly as could be. We saw a number of plates walk by with truffles on them which I also wished we ordered. Inside of the restaurant is cozy and fun. We will return!

Best pasta weโve had in Rome. Exquisit Lemon Sorbet. Good wine, friendly service and fair prices. This is a place we would recommend to anyone.
Be the first to ReplyIs this the best Italian restaurant in Rome?
After 1 week in Rome with the family, testing lots of Italian restaurants, we all agree that this restaurant is outstanding. The pasta and food is epic. The atmosphere is what you looking for when strolling in small streets in Rome, the small family feeling. What we really liked was the small plates of pasta tastings from the menu. Itโs not often you go into the kitchen and shake the hands of the chefs and give the staff a big hug when leaving. This restaurant is a must when visiting Rome.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing local Roman restaurant
Amazing traditional Roman, cosy restaurant. Epic seafood pasta, carbonara, filet steak. Wonderful service. Lots of locals eating here.
Be the first to ReplyBest place in Rome all round.
Is there a better place in Rome? I doubt it. Lovely food, wonderful atmosphere and run by the nicest team of guys in the business. Always made to feel welcome. The pasta is divine and the seafood always fresh. Amazingly good value (they should put their prices up!!). This is definitely the place to keep coming back to. We have been at least once every year we are in Rome and it has only got better over time.
Be the first to ReplyGluten free deliciousness
All gluten free! Delicious and the friendly waiter speaks 4 languages. We had risotto ai funghi and a risotto with beef stew. The focaccia was the best gf weโve ever had. And to find gf arancini was a treat.

Everything was delicious! The food was unique, beautifully presented and the portions were very generous. Would love to return!
Be the first to ReplySmall restaurant, great food
Too bad for those just passing bye, they have no relevant sign outside, we haf some difficulty finding it after 5-6 years. Anyway, we had oysters and spaghetti con frutti di mare, ben accompagnato de prosecco freddissimo. I remember the first time here I had spigola carpaccio abd it was extraordinary. I honestly reccomend it
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best meals I had in Rome
Lovely atmosphere there and met a couple of newlywed Americans who enjoyed their meal. It was very busy as its reputation is excellent, I had a little wait for a table but managed to get in.

Never in my life have I ever walked in and 40 mins later OUT, without being served in a restaurant. But, after being seated, given empty glasses, after 20 minutes or so, we grabbed our waiter and ordered wine. When we tried to give him our order, he said no, not now. 20 minutes later, (thatโs 40 mins of empty sitting) he passed by our table without looking at us, we finally had enough and left. Never have I been treated so badly at a restaurant.
2 tables had been seated after us and were eating and drinking. The waiter Looking at us several times but, with more of a blank malice stare. It was vey apparent to me that he did not like to deal with us because we were a AMERICANโs. The place was predominantly locals. The word that comes to mind is Prejudice. We are tourists and have feelings, too.
If you look at bad reviews first, like we do, then be happy youโve read this.
Stay clear from this anti-USA place.
Iโve now read similar stories from others about Americans an Germans being treated/ ignored from this establishment.
We ended up around the corner at Roma Sparita, the meal was incredible and thankfully saved our first night in Rome.
Maliciously absent service
We made a reservation at this restaurant per a recommendation from our hotel. We were seated at 9:20, the waiter came to us at 9:25, gave us empty glasses, and left. At around 9:35 we flagged him down and gave him our wine order. When we asked him about our food order he rudely said โnot nowโ. At 10:00 there was still no wine and the waiter walked by our table at least a half a dozen times looking at us, then looking away. Hard not to notice that 2 tables (that we saw) were seated after us and were already served their drinks and appetizers. These people were obviously locals. We felt a great animosity from this waiter and felt that it was due to the fact that we were Americans. We later read the reviews and see that other foreign patrons felt the same. We finally got up and left after 10:00 and to be fair, another waiter followed us out and apologized. A horrendous experience.
Be the first to ReplyNon-Italians beware
Easily the worst experience we had in a 16 day trip to Italy. All foreigners are escorted to the basement, as stated in many reviews. The basement is cramped, mildewy and very hot with no adequate ventilation. The other Americans and Germans are all complaining and the basement is understaffed. Our undercooked (read crunchy) pasta and poor quality clams (many dead unopened) was as tasteless as the sea bass appetizer. The most bizarre element was the wonder-bread toast points that were given to us alongside a paper bag of local bread. We still arenโt sure if this experience was normal fare or unique to the May 6th dining experience.
