The cocktails were pretty good though. What bugged me though, is how overpriced everything is. Look, I get that this is supposed to be "fine" dining and there's the Michelin star inflation here, but this place is really pushing it for what the food is. $39 for mostly-breading fried chicken entree with no sides! We ordered the steak tartare and when the waiter dropped it off, he said "just let me know if you need more crackers". That sure sounds like they would just give us a few more crackers for free right? No, they charged us for it and didn't tell us it would be extra. Seriously, $27 for steak tartare and you charge $6 for 6 more ritz crackers? Like, actually ritz crackers. It says so on the menu and the receipt. We didn't even want that many either, we asked for two more. And no, the price for crackers is not on the menu. Also, they charge 20% service charge, which I don't have a problem with the percentage since I tip 20% anyways, but they tax you on that service charge too, not just the subtotal. If you want dining for a similar price point, I'd much rather recommend The Loyalist a few blocks west of here. If you want fried chicken, go two blocks east and get Gus's. You can get a 12 piece with sides for the same price as the entree here, and it's better.
