Always Dependable
Runner & Stone is my go-to spot in Brooklyn for breakfast carryout. The croissants are amazing, and the coffee is always good. Friendly service, too...

We were seated in the lower level which had a great atmosphere. Our waiter answered all of our questions since it was our first visit to the restaurant. They will also accommodate customers with dietary restrictions. The hummus appetizer as well as the Brussels sprouts were delicious. I had the Chickpea Lumache dish and absolutely loved it. I cannot wait to go back.

Oui Monsieur je lโai dit... Best baguette in NYC. I never went to the HQ of this bakery But my food coop in Brooklyn sells this amazing regular or Buckwheat baguette. Iโm originally from France and am a bread fanatic. This compares to some excellent bread found in France. The water and yeast has always been the issue. These folks at Runner & Stone seemed to have fund the solution... Kayser had invaded NYC but R & S have the edge. Take it from a frenchie.

My wife and I dropped in for a coffee and pastry. Coffee pretty good, and the pastries were rich, but delicious. Especially the almond croissant. Would recommend.

Here in New York for the World Bread Awards USA. Popped in here for breakfast ... superb Macchiato with delicious Monkey Bread (laminated Danish pastry with a touch of cinnamon rolled into a twist, twirled into a muffin case, proved and baked and glazed ... mmmm! Great helpful service with a smile from young man serving us too. Would seriously recommend a visit

I live nearby and stop in often for a baguette. It is the best! Always fresh and a bargain at $3.00.

Chris creates wonderful dishes in the kitchen, while Peter is a dessert, bread and pastry magician. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and helpful too, recommending local cocktails as well as explaining our dishes as they were brought to the table.

This is a special place which is definately worth the visit. The food is truly home made with fresh and organic ingredients, they bake their own bread, make their own butter and even ice cream! Wonderful experience with friendly and professional staff. They offer 50% of their wine bottles (which are really nice) on Mondays and Tuesdays. I trully recommend this place.

Our family just loves Runner & Stone especially for breakfast. The buckwheat baguette is by far my favorite along with their brioche. Both of my sons are obsessed with their ยซ German like ยป pretzels. Their croissants are quite delish as well (as a French family that means a lot)
