A friend and I made a last minute reservation for dinner at 8:30pm, arrived at the restaurant at 8:15pm, and were surprisingly seated at exactly 8:30pm even with a full house of customers. This is the largest Ruth Chris I've seen and probably with the best decor and dimly lit ambiance. Hostess and wait staff were quick, courteous, and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed stuffed mushrooms with crabmeat appetizer, lamb chops and filet mignon steak topped with shrimp entrees, broccoli, au gratin potatoes, and asparagus spears side dishes. Luckily we were seated at a window table view with a nice view of the strip. I came here for great food and service and received both. A quick shout out to our waiter Hunter for exceptional service and fun personality. I cannot wait to return for more soon!

Even though Ruth Chris is a chain, we have had many people recommend this is an option for a special occasion. We choose this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the experience was a let down and definitely not worth the money spent. When arriving and making a reservation they make it very clear this is a level of dress code. I not expecting anything crazy especially for a vacation location but I was disappointed when people were getting seated in full sweatsuits and tee shirts, obviously doesn't really make or break the dinner but just dampened the experience. The food was also very/below average, my partner enjoyed a steak and I had the scallops, my entree was ok to say the least. The sides we choose were the mashed/puréed potatoes and the broccoli, broccoli ended up being an up charge and still wasn't even better than a steamed bag that you can make at home. I normally can overlook these things because it could be off night for the restaurant but just really disappointing when the bill ended up being over $300 for one of the most lackluster meals of our trip. The server and sever assistant we had were great and provided excellent service. I feel like this could be a location issue, because like I said previously I had a lot of people enjoy and recommend Ruth Chris to us.
Be the first to ReplyI've been to many Ruth's Chris' and this one is really one
I've been to many Ruth's Chris' and this one is really one of the best. First of all, it's dining and bar area is sublime, especially at sundown. The view of the strip and Caesars is delightful. The staff are well informed, very engaging, and are delightfully committed to making sure the meal is enjoyed. I got the $99 prix fix that included gumbo, an 8 ounce filet, a side and dessert. The gumbo was just off the chain good, shocking as I'm from New Orleans. The steak was ordered medium rare Pittsburgh style and it was done perfect. A nice sear and plenty of pink and a steak that was so tender. I got a trilogy of sauces just to taste with the steak. The mashed potatoes were great and did their job soaking up every bit of butter I could get. The bread putting with two sauces, yum! Ruth's Coffee finished the meal and it was all pure bliss.

Be the first to ReplyI hadn't been to a RC for a long long time.
The last couple frankly I just wasn't that impressed but I really can't say exactly why. I was prepared to be underwhelmed but I have to say the exact opposite occurred. Our seating was great! View fantastic and our server So Yon was just as pleasant and nice as they come! She made our visit a joy. The steaks were the highlight of course and are the RC way but in this case that was a very good thing. The sides we all shared (4) of us and I think we got four sides and it worked out perfectly! This visit reminded me why I used to love RC. Thanks So Yon!

If I'm going to drop 350 bucks for two people for dinner, It should at least be better than I can make myself, someone with very average culinary skills, on my barbecue at home. I expected the ribeye to be epic, and frankly it was not even average. Overcooked, not marbled, not crusted even with salt and pepper, no detectable seasoning. What it did have was a very bland butter reduction which just made it a big greasy, tough mess. Seriously, how is this place considered even close to elite? They claim their meat is top 2%, but I can walk into just about any store and hand pick a better ribeye for under 20 bucks. I'm not a food snob, and I'm not being dramatic here. It really was that mediocre. Service was fine. The mashed potatoes were great. I had to edit because I forgot this little gem. We ordered the crab cakes. I really enjoy a good crab cake. What we received bared no resemblance to any crab cake I've ever had. It looked like they scooped out some crab goo with an ice cream scooper. Not crusted, not browned, not pan fried at all. Literally just a gooey blob of textureless crab dough. This was supposed to be our fancy dinner in Vegas and it was a huge disappointment. When you drop that kind of money, it should be special. The reviews just don't make sense. Either we caught them on a really bad night, or most people just have never had a decent steak.
Be the first to ReplyThe meat was amazing!! Everything was sub par.
You have to request the jalapeños as there not on the menu. Our waitress was top notch and made it happen...
Be the first to ReplyThe steak was excellent.
The baked potato and Mac and cheese were mediocre. Ruth Chris is overpriced. You're better going to Herbs and Rye, Echo and Rig, or STK.

Big Sean is the bestest! He took care of everything for us. Looking forward to our next visit.

To repeat: As previously noted, these places are NOT all the same. This location falls short of the excellent but now closed San Francisco location, the Sacramento area locations, and the DC spot, but seems to be mis-managed along the same lines as the Walnut Creek spot was a few years ago.Our server, Johnny T., was great. He was of immense assistance with the menu and spent a few minutes trading fun stories with us. Plus, he's a Raiders' fan.The New York was a nice steak, but it was $70.95. That is a ridiculous price for a basic cut of meat.It was here that we also encountered that bizarre, new Vegas custom of two-tiny-tastes per table of wine. Rather than force wait staff to announce that, why not put that on the menu or wine list? "Our establishment wants to encourage you to experiment with new wines. We can offer two tastes per table complimentary, but must charge $2.00 per taste for each subsequent taste." Or something like that. I do suspect some people may have abused the taste thang, but a taste or two have guided us on many occasions in many places. But, again, I digress.Steakhouse salad at $17.95 pricey for lettuce, etc.I would order the side of cremini mushrooms again and again. The highlight of our meal.Interesting thing of which we were reminded: Restaurants, even in Vegas, remain hobbled by Covid. The pandemic's aftermath has created labor and management shortages and, in the case of this Ruth's, stripped the bar and cellar. No fernet branca. No Bordeaux. Much sadness. The place was dead. Several young couples but Ruth's was quiet -- too quiet. Where there should have been clinking and laughter, there was only a funeral-like quietude. I think Vegas old-timer restaurants like Ruth's need to offer happy hours and cater to more than the old-timer business client living on the business AMEX.Meh.-- Workingman's gourmand.

Well where shall I start the hostess she was great the waitress well. NOPE. Never checked on us walks by numerous times. I need refill I needed sauce for my shrimp. Nope 10 mins of her just walking by ans then to chit chat with the people behind us. Horrible horrible service Food was good tho pricey like anywhere in Vegas. But man the service and food awesome

Well it was a first for me when I got here I was impressed but the food drop it down like how great depression hit it hard. So let start with appetizer the bisque is heavy on wine I could not see what are they thinking I'm no expert at bisque but it feel like I could be drunk just by the bisque, the calamari ok but it need salt more kick. The meat was a filet that was ok but it have so much butter for me that I need to spit it out. But just when it couldn't have got worst with dessert it was big let down it was over the top sweet that it need citrus passion fruit may be the answer.

Food was great as always but charging your returning customer 40% more than other Ruth Chris's around the country is highly disappointing! I will never eat at another Ruth Chris again due to this!!
Be the first to ReplyWent for a friend's big birthday.
She wanted a table with a view of the strip. She was told weeks ago it would not be a problem. Are y'all sittin' down? This place wanted $10 per person to sit at a table near the window. Yep! Pure stupidity and gouging. After this, do I really need to tell you anything else? It was a forgettable, yet unforgettable experience.
Be the first to ReplyIt was just alright.
For that price point I'd rather go to Delmonico at Venetian. Or for cheaper, Chart House at Golden Nugget. The food was good. It's just that, at that price point, everything needs to be, well, on point. The servers are all nice, but they lack the refinement and professional conduct that other steakhouses offer at the price point. For example, I missed the fact that my steak would come with a bunch of butter. I asked for the truffle butter to accompany it. Obviously it ended up being way too much damn butter lol. The server should have said like hey, fyi it comes with butter already are you sure you want the truffle butter. They would have done that at Delmonico. Plating, and the appearance of the food being put in front of you, is not one of their strong suits. My steak came out on a plate that was all splashed with steak juice and it just looked really sloppy. Again, for a $70 steak, present it nicely. They also didn't bring spoons for the sides and it was annoying. I just ordered $20 Brussels sprouts and I don't have a spoon for them. I don't know, man. The spicy shrimp appetizer was amazing. The mashed potatoes were good and the steak of course, was good. The crab corn chowder was good but it lacked depth of flavor. And I literally am not even the type of person to say something didn't have flavor because I know I'm not that fancy, but even I thought it was lacking something. Perfectly tasty food overall, but ultimately not worth the price point.

Went to dinner with my son and it was amazing I had the stuffed chicken (you must like cheese though ... it's stuffed with 3 different cheeses) and he had the ribeye ...Everything was perfect... I wish I didn't take an instagram video and took pics because I can't show our food and view ... but you must try ... Everything was so good.

Food is always good, this is our 4th visit to this location in a year. (Had been gifted gift certificates, humble to eat here so frequently.) Steaks were cooked to our liking, my husband added blue cheese crumbles to his NY steak. Au gratin potatoes were a little underwhelming but the next day leftovers were delicious, the flavors saturated into the potatoes over night. My husband doesn't like seafood but wanted to try the Lobster bisque. He super enjoyed it, good size chunks of Lobster meat. Service is good & it has nice views of the strip. Only minus 1 star because capital grille is better.

This past Wednesday (July 6) I was surprised with a birthday dinner at Ruth's Chris. I was excited because it's one of the few fine dining restaurants I haven't been to in Las Vegas. While the food was great the service was extremely disappointing. The server, Darrell, took a while to greet us and from that point on the experience just continued to go downhill. 1.) When I ordered the Dirty Goose Martini, he asked me in a condescending tone if I was aware that it would be a lot of olive juice in the cocktail. I replied back of course, I'd imagine that's the reason it's called a "Dirty" Goose martini and not just a martini. 2.) My partner asked for cheese on his side order of mashed potatoes and he tells him "You know that's extra?", which again is very assumptive and I felt rude considering it's customary to charge for anything extra. 3.) When I ordered my lamb chops medium he says "Just so you know the medium will be red and slightly pink in the middle". If I ordered medium, one would assume I ordered it knowing what medium cut of meat would look like. All of this you could say well he was just being courteous making sure I knew what was going on, but the 3 other tables he was servicing around us he didn't ask these questions to or similar questions to them. He assumed they were familiar already. Then my partner asks for Sprite and he brings the beverage, when he tastes it he says it's a bit off but he'll still drink it. I then ask the person that's offering him support for his section for a Coke and she informs me they only have Pepsi products. It now explained why the Sprite tasted off for my partner but it was also confusing that out of all things he thought he was educating us on he failed to inform us that the products offered are not Coke products so there wouldn't be any surprises. He rarely checked on our table but the young lady who supported him did constantly. One could say "maybe he was busy" but he checked on the other three tables in our section quite frequently. The icing on the cake was how he unceremoniously placed the cheesecake in front of me, said "Happy Birthday" and walked away. By now we are the only table left in the section so it wasn't an issue of being busy and I distinctly heard a table being sung "Happy Birthday" not even 30 minutes prior so that confirmed to me that it is something the restaurant does, like many other restaurants. I'm VERY big on customer service and this was disappointing. I will say the prices were amazing and the food was great but if I had the option of going somewhere else had I known that was going to be my experience, I would have gone somewhere else.
Be the first to ReplyMy friend and I had the pleasure of dining here last night.
Every single person we encountered was very friendly and the ambiance of the restaurant is extraordinarily clean and nice. Our server, Hunter, was absolutely exceptional. He answered any questions we had, gave phenomenal recommendations and made sure everything was to our liking. Between the 2 of us we had the fillet, the cowboy ribeye, the iceberg lettuce and a fully loaded baked potato (and an old fashioned). Everything was beyond perfect; the steaks are cooked to your specification and served on a piping hot plate. This was my first time here but it won't be my last. A huge thanks to Hunter and the rest of the staff for making this a very enjoyable dinner out.

First time here in Vegas but been to them in other locations in the USA. We started off with apps and mojitos. They were excellent. My Steak was a ribeye and was cooked as I ordered. Tasty and tender. Au gratin potatoes and asparagus were excellent. Cesar salad was great. Only complaint was my wife's filet mignon was well done and she ordered medium. No problem, our waiter came back and fixed that promptly. Service was good and personable.
Be the first to ReplyI'm a little late submitting this review, but oh well.
While foraging through Las Vegas on my birthday weekend in February, what should my eyes behold, but a high list favorite of mine, especially I'm feeling greedy, Ruth's Chris. We sashayed on in and immediately felt immersed in the ambiance and delicious smells of grilling steaks. A glass or two of wine to rinse down the Ceasars salad, and I was primed and ready for my mainstay favorite at Ruth's, the cowboy rib-eye.There is something about the sound of that sizzling hot plate covered with a succulent steak that nearly brings tears of joy to mine eyes. For sides, today I basked in the Mac and cheese, which had a nice lightly crunchy top layer, which I love, and more than enough cheese to please the most ardent cheese lover. My steak was delightfully seasoned and grilled to perfection. A surprise sweet recognition of my birthday was delivered as I languished in the delightful feeling of being full. . Still not sure how the restaurant was aware of my birthday, but it was a nice touch on a great day, now back to the blackjack tables.

Complaining again about how things went down this last week in Vegas for wife's Bday. Y'all arent even trying to make a decent effort at making things right, for everybody reading..........yall want great service and everything else, then stick with Fleming's. Im so over Ruth's Chris' trash
Be the first to ReplyFood was amazing bur service was horrific.
Came here to celebrate my bday and got treated like a young Mexican stereotyped. I spent a lot of money for myself. My husband was not hungry but we had the reservation. First I ordered a skinny margarita with Don Julio Blanco. Yummy right? He never checked up on us and gave me the dirtiest looks ever. I had to call him 3.times because he didn't 5 attention. I got filet mignon with shrimp. I wanted a lemon for the shrimp . Ge Said look there's a lime in the margarita and i was.like thats nor what im asking for. Then when the bill came I showed him that the price for my meal was incorrect. He didn't care and charged the cars. Then I saw he charged me for Don Julio anejo margarita . Not what I asked for and since at this point his shitty attitude and remarks I calmly complained to the manager. White guy in his 50s. He fixed it with a free margarita and nothing else. $160 on 1 person and I get treated like if I was McDonald's. Thanks for ruining my bday and not adjusting the price of my meal
