Man great restaurant and staff! My cousins and I had a reservation here at 945 we got our food in less than a hour after beating seated. It was a 7 person party. The food was absolutely delicious and our severs were great like super great! This was my first time at Ruth Chris and it definitely was a great experience!
Made a reservations at 7:30pm, got here at 7:15 to check in.
They said "they're a backed up, come back in a few minutes." Came back in 20 minutes and they still said "to wait a few more." - What's the point of making a reservation then? - The food, they got my girl's and my order wrong they cooked the meats differently than what we asked & overall wasn't that great Mashed Potato's, Spicy Shrimp & Rita Rocks Margarita was great Overall 6/10

Went last to celebrate sisters birthday and was highly disappointed in our experience. Service was extremely slow as we didn't see an our waiter for 10 minutes. We ordered drinks which took 20 minutes from a different server. We ordered our appetizers which came on somewhat of a timely basis. No water was served until requested 30 minutes after we were seated. We ordered our food which took approximately 20 minutes (too long based on the amount of business) at the time. My steak was overdone, as I asked for medium rare, got well done, and was extremely tough, I assumed based on it being over cooked. Based on the cost of the meal for 3 ($625.00 with tip) we expected a much better experience than we received. Maybe it was a bad night who knows!!
We had a reservation for my husband and I to have a date
We had a reservation for my husband and I to have a date night. We walked in right on time and the two hostesses would not stop talking. Finally they stopped and said "how can we help you?" What they should have done was immediately stopped talking and Welcomed us in. I said we had a reservation and they said our table would be ready shortly. That's all they said. So my husband and I awkwardly wondered into the bar. They should have suggested the bar and that they would come get us when our table was ready. Horrible way to start our experience. Zero customer service right from the start. Our waiter Jack was great, but our food was very disappointing. Ordered crab stuffed mushrooms appetizer and it was very tasteless, my sea bass was very fishy and was served on a bed of beyond oily spinach. Like so much oil. The mashed potatoes were also covered in oil. Even the brussel sprouts were soaked in oil. Our dinner was $235 and so extremely disappointing. We are locals and we won't be back.
Great food, service, ambiance, & blazing hot plates.
.. Ruth Chris is such a luxurious experience. It's great to separate yourself from the gambling and walk into another world. Although normally more business casual, Ruth Chris tucked into the Silver Legacy makes it semi acceptable to walk in with jeans and tees. Feeling relaxed makes enjoying the best tasting food even more enjoyable. Love the sourdough bread with the soft whipped butter. It's the little things that make me so happy. Steaks were perfection along with the sides. For 3 people, our bill came out to $300 (including tip), so it's not an everyday meal. It's a better investment than the money I lost at the slots.
It was a nice dinner.
The crab cakes came sizzling hot, generous chucks, and no overwhelming ocean taste. The seabass had a nice crust, and it was cooked perfectly. The ribeye was alright. It was good. I definitely liked the seabass more. I enjoyed the creamed-spinach more than the mash potatoes. The side dishes are ordered separately. They didn't have bread service at the time I was there (I like to eat early). Creme brulee was alright too. Overall the food was good, but with the price on the higher side, I was expecting a better steak. The service was excellent!
WOW! This was my first time experiencing a Ruth's Chris
WOW! This was my first time experiencing a Ruth's Chris after hearing so many great reviews. Came here with my girlfriend to celebrate an anniversary and it couldn't have been a better experience. When we made the reservation they asked if it was a special occasion and we said it was our anniversary and they made us feel like the two most important people in the room. Not only did they have a little decoration on the table but everyone from the server to the runner and even the manager came by to wish us a happy anniversary. I'm sorry I'm forgetting our servers name but he was amazing and so was the manager and all the staff. We both did the pre fixe menu but each did something different. I started with a ceaser salad (that is kinda pictured in the background of the soup picture) that was a huge starter. We could've definitely shared it. It was very good. The croutons were like Parmesan crusted and delicious. My girlfriend got the lobster bisque that she loved as well. For our entrees I had ordered the filet and shrimp but I upgraded from the 6oz to the 11oz with a side of mashed potatoes. When I tell you the steak was cooked perfect I mean it. Like exactly perfect. A nice crust and a cool medium rare center made this steak the perfect amount of salty crisp upon biting but ending up almost melting in your mouth. My girlfriend ordered the 6oz with the lobster tail and she loved hers as well. For dessert the pre fixe comes with the chefs special but they let us choose whatever we wanted for our special day so we went with the cheese cake. The picture makes it look smaller than it was because it was big. So decadent and rich with a nice graham cracker crust and served with a sweet & sour cream. It was perfect. All in all it was a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!
Just want to start with the food is completely worth the
Just want to start with the food is completely worth the hype. Pricey but worth it. The service from the servers is really good. Friendly, attentive... but the mark down is for the bad cocktails and bad attitude coming from the hosts. Other than that the experience was Devine :) I DO expect things to be perfect if we're spending this much.
Went there for my daughter's birthday celebrations, I
Went there for my daughter's birthday celebrations, I reserve for 5 people total and we ordered 2 steak of course., which is $165 per serving,, and that are good for 5 people and we ordered couple of side orders, 2 order of calamari for appetizers , 2 side salads, 2 kids drinks and a bottle of wine for three . The night is going well But as soon our order came in we are all very disappointed!! They serve us a BURNT Steak and the manager has a guts to ask all of US if we still having a good time on our dinner!! I ask him are you Serious?? I told him if his making fun of us! And he said his just asking! I said NO,, don't make fun of us cause I'm about to pay $700 dollars bill for this burnt steak that your chef mag made for us.. I don't think I can recommend this place for what ever happened that night!! The manager didn't even apologize for what happened, instead he just smiling on the way to the kitchen to return the burnt steak . He thinks it's funny... We waited 25 minutes to get our first servings then waited another 25'minutes to get a new steak.. . I would say don't come here .. very bad service! I think there chef are not trained enough to prepare a medium rear steak!! the ambiance is okay by the way!!
Great Way to end our day trip at the Silver Legacy Sports
Great Way to end our day trip at the Silver Legacy Sports Book and gaming floor . 01/28/24 Leaving Reno and stopped by Ruth Chris for Steak Dinner, we sat at the counter and Sean said hello and nice to see you guys again. Sean is a Server and it's rewarding to be recognized for coming back to RC. Dylan the Bartender took our drink order and promptly served up Soft Drinks and Bread with butter. Steaks were outstanding as always with sides that were very tasty too especially the Spicy Shrimp. We will be back on Super Bowl Sunday 02/11/24 and stop by again due to great food, service and Value for the price compared to that Slot Machine. (lol) Sean, Dylan and staff are very tentative to the Customers. FYI Reno is a great place to play eat and live life. Thank you for Reading Reviews help Consumers.
Excellent steaks and seafood
The maître d was rude - needs training in customer service. We waited almost 30 minutes to get a table set up for 8 of us and when we were seated there were only 3 other diners in the restaurant. Food was exceptional - steaks were phenomenal, staff very courteous but had a hard time with serving the correct meal to each us. After finishing our meal we sat for a long time to get our bills and to pay. Our bills had to be corrected until the correct billing was achieved - something would not expect from a high class restaurant.
Good food
All the food was ala'carte, nothing came with nothing. We sat in a booth, the lighting made it hard to read both the menu and the prices.i had a stuffed chicken breast, very cheesy and delicious, wife had a petite filet had to send back cause it was too rare. Food was on a hot (500 degree) plate so was sizzling. Went away very full. All of the staff very polite and professional . Very quick to fix steak. Took a while to get dinner 45 + minutes.
bad service and over cooked steak, cold potatoes
I ate here on Oct 25,2023. It took them 15min to come to our table. They asked for our dinner order and I said I would like to order a cocktail first. He took that order along with our food order. Next came our salad WITH our meal at the same time. The waiter looked confused and said don't worry, we will "boomerang your meal." I wasn't sure what that meant. Well, they came back with my now very over cooked steak and cold potoes. It was obviously just left under a heated lamp for 15mins at least. Then he wanted to take desert orders. Our meal came with that and when I asked he said he only wanted the best for us and thought we would want a larger portion one. I said no, I want what came with our meal. First and last time for this steakhouse I was so excited about trying
Loved it!
Had a great dinner and dining experience tonight at Ruths Chris in Reno. I was wary after reading some of the negative reviews but came away very FULL and very impressed. The wait staff was friendly and engaging. Thank you Brandon and Thomas. The food was excellent. I had the 16 oz Ribeye and my wife had the 16 oz NY Strip. Both were cooked to perfection and the sides were more than enough for both of us. I would not hesitate to eat here again .
Cost an arm and a leg!
Fillet, wasn't as good as at least 3 other restaurants. Staff was excellent, plenty of food. The price was crazy, ridiculous. $350.00 for two people.
50th Anniversary Dinner to remember
We celebrated our 50th anniversary there and everything about the experience was outstanding. Kimberly Chapman, our server, made the night extraordinary. Her service, attention to detail, special touches far exceeded anything I have ever experienced previously. Ashley, the woman who greeted us in front was kind and delightful. The food was cooked to perfection. Five stars aren’t enough to rate this experience.
Overpriced Disappointment
Steak was very good, rest of dinner huge disappointment. Very slow service even though very few customers. Presentation was blah. Single piece of meat on a small white plate, unappetizing. Plate extremely hot with hot oil spattering on clothing. Manhattan drinks mediocre, good martini. Whole experience certainly not worth the price. Ambience blah, too cold. Much better steakhouses in Reno, ie, Western Village.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
