Sable at Navy Pier Chicago, Curio Collection by Hilton Reviews from The Last Year
Great Hotel; A Little Touristy
Staying at the Sable Hotel on Navy Pier was a unique experience. It’s named after a ship stationed at Navy Pier during WW2. The views of Chicago's skyline and Lake Michigan are some of the best in the city. This spot is a little touristy for me so it might not be for everyone. Protip: stay between Nov and April to avoid the tourist tornado. The hotel itself is lovely, paying homage to the area's history with its name and offering comfortable accommodations. It's definitely a prime spot for those looking to explore some of the city's attractions.
Golden Birthday!
The Sable was Great. And the BellHop was Ernest was Amazing! Rooms were Breathtaking. The Staff was Friendly, Helpful and Kind. Ernest helped and Greeted us when we came in and Helped get us Checked out and packed the car when we departed. All Thumbs Up!
Great Staff
Amazing hotel and amazing staff, especially the bellman, Ernest. Beautiful views from the room of Lake Michigan. Will definitely stay again.
We came for a couples getaway and it was great
The whole experience was wonderful the view from the rooms was amazing. The rooms and the bedding were great. The staff was welcoming and very helpful with any and all questions we had. We will definitely be back to stay again. Thank you all so much
Perfect hotel for business or pleasure!
The hotel is pretty new and in a nice location - right on Navy Pier! But what really makes this hotel my #1 choice while traveling to Chicago each week is it's AMAZING staff! The staff at the front desk are very professional, friendly and extremely helpful!
Amazing hotel!
Beautiful hotel! The view is unmatched and the staff is so kind. Amazing access to Navy Pier! The coffee stand is so great too- try the latte with half and half and an extra shot of espresso. The buffet breakfast is okay, but there are also great restaurants nearby!
Great stay
The exceptional staff, including Mayte and Ayanna, were incredibly helpful and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our room's cleanliness and the comfort of the bed. This is always our preferred place to stay, as we cherish the view and peaceful atmosphere
Pricey but enjoyable
I stayed here in May 2022, nevertheless, I still wanted to leave a review. My friend and I were there to celebrate her birthday. Upon arrival, we were treated warmly by everyone. The next day we met Mayte Martinez and she was an absolute gem. She answered all our inquiries and gave great recommendations that we considered.
Amazing stay
This establishment has amazing views of the lake, as well as great customer service. My spouse and I were checked in by Yesenia. She was so patient, kind, and informative. We will be returning back very soon. Thank you for such an amazing stay.
Lisa at the front desk is amazing.
The hotel is so new and the food is great and the views of the lake r amazing but the front desk girl Lisa is especially amazing. Wish everyone working at places were as professional and courtesy as her
I am a hotel snob.
Sable Hotel at Navy Pier was beyond my expectations. Entering the hotel you greeted, explained what the hotel offers and was eager to help in any way. The room was very clean, had a great view of the Lake Michigan and was supplied with all extra items you might have missed when you packed. Being Diamond members of Hilton, we were offered hotel credit to be used during our stay, complimentary cocktail, bottled water, candy and personalized hand written note thanking us for choosing Sable. During our stay, we ate at the restaurant for breakfast and the food was delicious. We will return! Thank you for a great stay!
I will follow up later, but in advance 1) Poor Customer
I will follow up later, but in advance 1) Poor Customer Service, 2) Rude Management ... but they are in a location where they probably don't care, so this review will likely be follow up with some boiler plate response by Sable. In advance, if you don't want to sleep, stay here - thin wall and floors, and unresponsive management to abusive noise complaints by other guests. Added: One of my party of 20+ was a family of 4 - spouse and 2 kids ... they registered for a digital key for their room, but upon arrival, discovered that the digital key was basically useless, b/c there was no way to get to their floor, b/c the digital key didn't work for the elevators, so in the end, had to get a physical key card - what a joke! ... as mentioned before, wait for the boiler plate response from Sable
Honestly one of the best hotels.
I've stayed here about 5 times and each time our stay was fantastic. They have a variety for restaurants connected and near the hotel and they are walking distance. Not to forget the view from our room was breathtaking. Staff has always been helpful, and friendly
My first experience of Sable at Navy Pier offers a positive
My first experience of Sable at Navy Pier offers a positive and seamless from the start, with valet parking providing a convenient and pleasant entrance. The reception staff is commendable, offering good service and creating a welcoming atmosphere in the well-appointed seating area. The well-maintained lifts contribute to the overall satisfaction with the facilities. The room impresses with its views, featuring both the serene lake and the dynamic Chicago skyline. Additionally, the breakfast at Lirica meets expectations, providing a satisfying culinary experience. Overall, Sable at Navy Pier seems to deliver a well-rounded stay, combining attentive service, comfortable accommodations, and delightful dining options, making it a recommendable choice for visitors looking for a positive hotel experience in the heart of Chicago. Best part was lake view Room window
Overall, a great stay! The staff was lovely and attentive.
The room was clean and well furnished and to add to it, we had a corner room so we got a fantastic view of the pier and loved it. I usually dont like valet parking (i like getting things in and out of my car) but it really made sense to park while staying here and we enjoyed interacting with the valet staff, they were lovely! My one criticism during the stay is the coffee in the room - it was an abomination of a coffee. Honestly not having this machine and the pods might have been a better position than trying to drink whatever that was.
We stayed at Sable for a birthday trip for our daughter.
We had a concert to attend the next day and needed to be up early. Unfortunately we were woken up by hundreds of people screaming, strobe lights and a DJ blaring music around 11pm. This continued until almost 1am. The noise continued when the dance party cruise returned at 3am still blaring music and unloading hundreds of loud, intoxicated people. What Hilton does not tell guests is that the giant City Cruises boat docked just outside the building has late night dance party cruises. The rooms were beautiful and clean, but if you are here to sleep at night I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

i would give the hotel itself a 5 star review, and the service a 3 star review, hence the 4 star overall. this hotel is newly constructed in 2019 and has spectacular views of the chicago skyline in every room. it is in a great location on the pier and has so much to do just there. i highly recommend looking into the cruises that depart at the pier. the room was clean and looked very modern and was overall really comfy. now the service. it all went downhill when we had requested to have housekeeping on the saturday of our stay TWICE, but they did not come. we went downstairs to ask for more towels and cups to refill our things. we weren't too bothered by that but we did keep that in mind. when we were walking along the bays on the last day, we noticed almost all rooms had a lounge in the alcove called the chaise lounge. we didn't have one so we figured that it might be a mistake so we went to speak with them. we had already checked out at this point. the first lady at the front desk wasn't very helpful but grabbed her manager. the manager keep INSISTING that the chaise lounge was only for the rooms that were higher in cost. but i kept showing them the pictures and descriptions of the two queen bed rooms and they were listed there. he kept fighting back, basically telling me that i was wrong and that i just need to book the corner room. we weren't talking about the corner couch which is only in corner rooms, but the chaise lounge that should be in all. after a little back and forth, another manager stepped in and told us that we were right and that our room was missing the lounge. he offered a complimentary upgrade for our next stay, but by that time, my parents were already pretty disappointed in the interaction we had with the other manager. honestly, love the hotel but the service can be hit or miss. some of the staff are just amazing and professional while others feel like they need to be retrained
Great location, bird Poo on windows were tragic but overall
Great location, bird Poo on windows were tragic but overall love the location and fireworks at night. Young lady at the front desk was rude and need an attitude adjustment. If you do not like your job, then quit. Smile and act like you want to assist people. Great Baecation, everything closed early on the Pier soooo get your snacks early to have in your room. Room smells delightful & Plenty to do on the Pier so you do not need to leave it. But everything does close early .
Thank you so much to the men and women working at the Sable
Thank you so much to the men and women working at the Sable Hotel for making our stay so special and comfortable! We stayed here for our wedding, and everyone at the hotel went above and beyond to make sure we had extra towels, cups for drinks, chairs, etc. when we were getting our make up done! We had a very spacious room (1 King Bed) and a nice view overlooking the lake! It was a tight squeeze when my 5 bridesmaids and I were getting ready, but everyone seemed to enjoy the little lounge chair by the window, overlooking the lake. The hotel room was clean. There's no pool, but there is a fitness center available for guests. I appreciate the extra safety precaution where you need a hotel key to access the elevator to your room!
Staff Staff Staff Location Location Location
We checked in to The Sable on a very busy weekend with Taylor Swift concerts at Soldier Field Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as well as a huge medical conference at McCormick Place. All hotels in the area were sold out. Despite the above, the front staff at The Sable were beyond welcoming, pleasant, and accommodating, especially Mayte Martinez, Guest Service Manager. I had a reservation for two rooms. She accommodated all my requests for room location and proximity to each other. She truly values the guest. Add to that, the location of the hotel is fabulous. The lake views are as stated, amazing with floor to ceiling windows. You can walk to just about anywhere if you are a walker. Walk to Oak Street beach, the Apple Store and others on Michigan Avenue, Millennial Park, The Art Institute, etc. I've been to Chicago many times but never stayed on Navy Pier. We will return to The Sable. BTW. Lake boat tours leave straight from the dock and summer fireworks can be viewed from rooms or pier.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
