Check in was smooth.
Starbucks right when you get out of the elevator, can't beat that. Grabbed lunch from the Mexican place to eat in the room because it's so spacious!

For a high end refurbished room, shocked you do not provide a coffee machine. Coffee was not even easily purchased in the am - long line at Starbucks. Also disappointed no microwave in room. Whomever designed the room refurbishment, did a terrible job. We could not open the curtains - the motor or switch was broken. Maintenance guy came and could do nothing. Lamps beside the bed, could not be independently operated - were tied to the main lights in room, so you could not turn off lamps at bedside at night. Shocking oversight Extremely poor signage to self parking if you enter from rear of Hotel off Paradise Dr.
Be the first to ReplySAHARA has anti-accessibility policies around mobility
SAHARA has anti-accessibility policies around mobility scooters, unfortunately. When I saw that in the fine print after booking a room directly through SAHARA's website, I was discouraged. I went to the hotel desk before the rental mobility scooters arrived so I could ask for the supposed required permit from the manager. The hotel clerk I spoke to said, "It should be fine." When my travel companion needed to leave the scooter downstairs and pick it back up later, one day it was tolerated by bell services. The next day, the bell services person was unkind and embarrassed her for needing to again leave the scooter downstairs while we went about our day. When I provided feedback the following day to bell services colleagues, they defended his behavior and told me that the hotel president forbid them to deal with mobility scooters because they "didn't like it." Then one of them snidely said "Is this the problem child?" when my travel companion pulled up during the conversation. It was uncalled for and unprofessional. There is no room service and food delivery services must be met in the hotel lobby. It is inconvenient. Apparently there's a policy against sleeping or resting your eyes while seated in the small seating area near the bell services desk. A staff person told an older lady near me that she wasn't allowed to sleep there, despite her sitting up and not disturbing anyone else but him. Bizarre. They can waive a resort fee, but they don't tell you that unless you ask or overhear them do it for someone else. The WiFi, supposedly included in the resort fee, didn't work for me at all. It showed an error message each time I tried to connect. The elevators are difficult to use with mobility scooters. They are not timed for accessibility. Getting in and out of the hotel rooms with the scooters is also challenging and not accessible. The Marra double beds smoking room we were in was too bright in the mornings because the shade was not thoroughly covering the window. The Marra room bathrooms have slider doors that do not really close or fully cover the bathroom door. The Marra king bed nonsmoking room was nicer. The bed was more comfortable and there were long heavy curtains that kept the room dark. The housekeeping folks and Etc. store staff were very pleasant and helpful. The Magic Mike Live theater staff were professional, welcoming, and accommodating before and during the performance.

Although I have never stayed here, I didn't know what a GEM this was. My room was fabulous! The room was clean and modern. It's posted at the very being of the Strip by Circus Circus. So it's definitely on the quieter side. The lobby was very busy after I got checked in. There is a small bar in the lobby, stores in the hotel and a Starbucks. Customer service was friendly. Ambiance is festive! It's Vegas baby! So if in the area, give it a try.

Decent hotel with some surprises! My husband and I are Formula 1 fans and made plans to attend the Vegas Grand Prix. We wanted a hotel that was close to the race without being in the middle of the madness, and we refused to pay $800 a night. Sahara came through! I had never stayed at this property so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I was pleasantly surprised with almost everything. Valet was a breeze, the check in process was painless, and everyone we encountered was friendly. I also really liked that it was super quick to get from the front desk to our room. We didn't have to weave our way through a casino or trek a mile to the elevator. We were given a room in the Alexandria Tower and it was, umm, interesting. It was clean and comfortable enough, but the walls had fabric hanging down in an effort to give the room a Roman type vibe. There was also a peekaboo shower which was unexpected. The door to the toilet/WC portion of the bathroom had a swing door that left quite a gap so there was zero privacy for whoever was in there. We did feel safe. We were coming back to the hotel in the early morning hours and Security ensured we were registered guests before we could take the elevator. I appreciated this. An unpleasant surprise was not being able to order room service. This was a shock! And the tight elevator security meant that no outside food delivery services could get to our room. We could meet the delivery driver in the lobby, or go to one of the restaurants and get our food to go. But no room service!!

This was the least hospitable hotel I have EVER been to, just being honest. I don't have any horror stories about bed bugs or dirty rooms, the housekeeping was probably the best part of the hotel. However, the service, babyyyy the service --just terrible. The older lady the front desk, Jane I believe her name was, was very rude in every encounter I had with her. Not only was she not very welcoming or helpful, she provided no details about amenities or what there was to do in the hotel. It doesn't appear like she enjoys herself at all and the hotel is doing themselves a huge disservice by having her the first person some guests encounter. The texting service for "anything you need" is also a joke. Everything I asked for, they couldn't do. They said the water was complimentary and we could just ask for more, but when I did, they said they couldn't bring it to me and that I should visit the store in the lobby and pay $6 for a bottle of water. I asked for a knife, they said they couldn't provide. There are like 6 restaurants IN THE HOTEL, I cant get a knife?! Like I said, no "horror" stories abut blood on sheets or anything like that. But when you have so many choices, this one, I would just skip over.
Be the first to ReplyI lucked out when I found out I was staying at the SAHARA
I lucked out when I found out I was staying at the SAHARA Las Vegas Hotel. I thought to myself...I'll be camping in the SAHARA Desert next. ;-) I heard it was a fairly new hotel. When I checked in, I was pleased by the customer service right away and by the guest perks they had available during my stay. I instantly loved its luxurious vibe, bright lights, and attractive decor. My room was stunning and looked clean. I'm a bathroom person so I couldn't wait to take a long hot shower after a long day with traveling but noticed that the water only can get warm to lukewarm. Later, I also discovered the walls were thin...I can hear my neighbors. Aside from a few shortcomings, there were so much to do at this hotel. You can go for a swim, see shows like Magic Mike, dance the night away at Latin Night on Fridays, gamble away at the casinos and eat/drink away at the restaurants/bars - everything is here...your one-stop-shop. So in a nut shell, I enjoyed my stay at SAHARA and will go back. FYI - It is located on the South Strip with access to the Monorail.

STOLE MY PURSE AND WENT THROUGH MY UNDERWEAR DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Police report has been filled. We will see how the hotel responds and will update this review if they help. I'll be sharing my experience on Tik Tok and instagram to my followers aswell. Also, when we first arrived to the room there was pee on the sheets.
Be the first to ReplyChecked into the Sahara hotel around 4pm.
Reported urine stains on sheets to front desk after checking in. Room service came in and changed sheets. After brushing our teeth and getting ready for dinner, we reported that the bathroom sink was clogged. We left the room and went to dinner and a show. Upon our return, noticed my girlfriend's underwear and private clothing was thrown across the room. Also noticed her Louis Vuitton purse was stolen, a bag of bread/belongings left in the room by the thief which was picked up by hotel security, and a half burnt cigarette on the night stand. Sahara hotel report number is: 24-1462. Disgusting room, disgraceful staff, and hands down the worst hotel in Vegas. STAY FAR AWAY.

Be the first to ReplyI was excited to stay here because of the positive reviews
I was excited to stay here because of the positive reviews but my experience was not the best. Read on:Pros: monorail stops here. The lobby is nice.Cons: when I went to my room it was decent until I went to check my bed. There was a stain on it as well as one of the lights next to the bed wasn't working. I requested to have the the sheets changed while I went out to meet up with friends for dinner. Hotel staff was friendly and assured me it would get taken care of. Well when I got back that evening, the bed was re spread but NOTHING was done about changing my sheets because the exact stain was still there when I pulled back the sheets. The cleaning lady brought up new sheets after I complained once again about it and I ended up having to change the sheets and spread the bed myself. The next evening I decided to see what the restaurants were like. I went to check out the Chickie's and Pete restaurant and heading toward it the hostess gave an attitude as I approached noting a sign that there is only bar seating starting at 10pm. I hadn't even walked in yet and only wanted to look at the menu. Also it was only 9:36pm. No worries, I chose to just grab a muffin and tea from Prendi which btw, the cashier there was extremely friendly. Both of those incidents didn't leave me with a good impression of this hotel along with the street noise all night from speeding cars and sirens and all the water damage that was where the fridge and safe was. Supposedly they are updating the rooms so maybe i got a pre updated one but I'll spend the extra money and stay elsewhere next time.

Hotel is wonderful, rooms are comfortable, and the staff is great! I especially love the restaurants like Chickies & Petes, Noodle Den, and Zeffers which I highly recommend! Sahara is definitely an underrated hotel in my opinion!!

My stay at the Sahara was excellent! My room was in the Marra tower. Fast check in, great bell service and great rate. I think I paid $430 for 3 nights. Only issues is that the elevator is slowwwww. Like I can hit the button to go down to the lobby, go back to my room for chapstick, go back out to the elevator bank and it's still not there.
Be the first to ReplyI tried to like this place, I really did, but the hotel is
I tried to like this place, I really did, but the hotel is a disaster. Firstly, me and my wife were staying at the Venetian which is our favorite hotel in Vegas, and went to the Sahara to visit our sister and brother-in-law. I heard the Sahara had a makeover and from first-glance it looked that way. Not a huge casino floor but nicely laid out and decent games. Those were the positives. We went up to their room and after getting off the elevator the entire floor stunk badly. They also complained of bedbugs and cheap basics. The bathroom towels were thin and were frayed along the edges. Something you would find at Motel 6. The room makeover was as cheap as could be. $4.99 window blinds, and the lowest quality bed and furniture. Looks like everything was purchased at IKEA. The real disaster was when we met them in the lobby on their last day. We asked what took so long, and they said all the elevators except for 1 were out of order, so they literally walked down 15 floors via the emergency stairwell. When we asked the Front Desk what was going on, they had no clue, and said "we hope they will be fixed soon." Come to find out, the problem had existed since the previous evening. We finally were able to catch the one elevator in service, but people kept walking into it causing a serious safety hazard, and the elevator was bouncing up and down because because of the stress on the pulley. There were no signs, directions, or announcements regarding the elevators which was unforgivable. I am giving a 1 star rating, because although I can forgive a lot of negatives, I will NEVER forgive a SAFETY HAZARD with absolutely NO urgency to get the issue fixed, much less care!!!

What? No coffee maker in the room? And of course, coffee is $5 to $8 at the bars and restaurants down stairs.

Just finished my stay here after a long weekend and couldn't be happier. Staff was friendly, hotel was clean, room was comfortable and had a really good view (marra floor 18).No issues with the stay at all. It is at the end of the strip and kind of liked being further away from the strip chaos. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back here next time I am in Vegas.
Be the first to ReplyIf I could rate -5 stars I absolutely would, for starters
If I could rate -5 stars I absolutely would, for starters what hotel room doesn't have a small microwave in it? for $400+ I would assume a microwave would be included. That doesn't bother me much, small inconvenience, not a problem. Also, the internet is absolute trash. Again, not a big problem, while in vegas you usually do touristy things, get out, drink, gamble, get married on a whim, etc. Would've felt a bit better about spending $400+ on a room with decent internet though. I was celebrating my 21st, my parents wanted to know I was safe and once you're out of the lobby good luck making/receiving any phone calls or texts unless you have a portable hotspot with you. The customer service was terrible in every other job title, from the bartenders at casbar making eye contact with my girlfriend and I and still not checking on us, walking up to check in/check out felt like we were inconveniencing the girls behind the desk, the only people that were actually helpful were the bellhops. Lastly, if you plan on checking out by 11, good luck. My girlfriend and I were on the 14th floor waiting for an elevator because let's be so for real, who's walking that many stairs at 10am? We stood there for a good 15 minutes waiting and I was so impatient I pressed the button to go up expecting maybe one or two stops up and down. Boy was I wrong... Going up we stopped a good three or four times, who got on? absolutely nobody. not a single person. Until we got to the 25th floor (I believe) a man jumped in and I proceeded to tell him about how it's going to take a minute to get to the lobby because I fully believe they intentionally place staff members on each floor to stop the elevator from going down completely so they can charge you for another night if you're even a minute late to check out. We stopped another floor up and a staff member hopped in, and as this gentleman, my girlfriend and I are talking all she does is look up and then back down at her phone like "I hear nothing" if they pay good just say that babe. Anyways, another group hops in maybe 3-4 floors down and I'm still going on about how it's a shitty hotel and I will never spend anything over $100 at this place again because it is just not worth it. We stop at a good 8-9 more floors and now everyone's talking about problems in their rooms, one man had no hot water, a couple was complaining about resort fees, the elevator stopping at every fucking floor when NOBODY is there. To top everything all off I get a text talking about "check out by texting us farewell" but guess what, no internet? no texts. It's like a huge game at this place, this is hell on earth and I absolutely would not recommend this shithole to anybody. A multi-million company just trying to take more and more and more money from their guests. DONT waste your time, energy, or money.edit: called about the $150 deposit that was supposed to be deposited back into my account and still hasn't even after "7-10 business days" and they're not helping me WHATSOEVER. do not waste your money on this scam of a hotel. every time I call they transfer me to a dead line talking about "oh well let me transfer you here and you can talk to them" if y'all don't give me my fucking money back. another edit: just got off the phone w some woman who's telling me "we authorized the payment but never actually took it out" then why does my bank statement say otherwise and WHY WAS I TOLD THAT ITD BE BACK IN MY BANK ACCOUNT IN 7-10 DAYS????
Be the first to ReplyIf you are using this hotel for business at the Las Vegas
If you are using this hotel for business at the Las Vegas Convention Center, be aware not all the rooms are business traveler friendly. The remodeled rooms may be nice, but mine was filled with breaking furniture, rusted bathroom vanity, and 3 plugs you could use for power. Not three outlets, three plugs! Had to buy a power strip. If you like technology with your travel, their app hasn't worked properly in weeks which means no pass the lines on check in. The text customer service option does have someone text back, but expect no real resolution. My second year here for the same Convention, it will be my last.
Be the first to ReplyI stayed here two nights.
I tried to find a hotel in Las Vegas near the stirp with free parking, no resort fee and, available during my trip. With the rodeo and ASHP in town, it was next to impossible. Trying to limit fees, I ended up here and was happy with my stay. Pro:It is not a huge casino compared to other casinos on the strip. The Sahara has almost everything you need in a Vegas casino. Gambling, places to eat, and bar all in a small compact setting. Free parking. It is relatively easy to enter the parking structure northbound along Las Vegas Blvd. An alternate entrance is behind the casino on Paradise Road sort of under the monorail station. Also, the distance from the parking structure to the check-in desk is not very far. Fortunately, my room overlooked the parking garage and I could visually check my car every day.Nice room. I paid the fee to upgrade to a remodeled room and it was a very nice room. It was very spacious with a large comfortable king bed. Outlets and USB ports are available on both sides of the bed and on the table if you need to do work. The table is very long with a lot of drawers. A big mirror is located next the bed with background lighting. Bathroom is spacious. The shower is big with great pressure. It has a rain shower-head and shower wand.It is walking distance to the Arts Districts which has local restaurants, coffee shops, and microbreweries. It is an easy walk several blocks pass The Strat. I felt safe walking during the day. Not sure how I would feel at night walking back. It is closer than walking to Resorts World.Easy access to the Las Vegas Monorail. From the lobby, it is very easy to access the monorail with the entrance near the lobby bar. It might be faster to walk from the lobby to the monorail station than to the front of the casino on Las Vegas Blvd. If you plan to ride it at least 2 times a day and will be in town for more than 24 hours, I recommend an electronic multiday pass. It is cheaper than an Uber or Lyft going up and down the strip.Con:The north end of the strip is not the most popular end and is far away from many of the popular things to do and see. Highly recommend getting the multiday monorail pass if you are in town for more than 24 hours and plan on visiting different sights along the strip. The entrance to the monorail station is very easy to access from the lobby near the bar and Starbucks. It is a short walk up the escalator and across the skybridge. The Fees. All the hotels have fees now these days for parking, pool, and wi-fi. Sahara has an app for checking in. I thought a sign in the lobby in fine print stated a fee to check in on the app. Overall, I had a good stay here and definitely would stay here again.
Be the first to ReplyVehicle had windows broke out and all items in car stolen.
Staff and management were absolute trash. No accountability since the staff are the ones running the ring of these thieves who steel from there guests. Absolute dumpster fire of a hotel. 10/10 would not recommend
Be the first to ReplyI was going to the Sahara I had breakfast, $28.
00. I put in a sports bet and had a seat in the Casbar. Security comes in and asks for my ID then told me I had been coming there for 10 days in a row, they asked me to leave, I will never go there again.
Be the first to ReplyThis place did not disappoint.
They renovated the hotel and they did a great job. We stayed in the Alexandria tower in the Blanca room. This is a must, not expensive at all and has great views. The shower is a bit awkward but cool I guess, when in Vegas. There is no window coverings in the shower so you can see out of the hotel as your showering and people can see you if they look. Anyways, it makes for a fun time when you're showering with your girl. Follow me on IG @deez15
Be the first to ReplyI miss when it used to be the SLS and I believe was owned
I miss when it used to be the SLS and I believe was owned by the W for awhile but my favorite rooms are high up in the Lux tower... the Alexandria rooms.. so beautiful....I like to stay here as it is on the same side of the strip as World Market Center where I come for furniture market and the shuttle comes right to the hotel... only bummer is after a long day at market when your feet are aching for a nice spa or pool... it is already closed at 6 pm !!! Such a disappointment!!! Then when I couldn't get my favorite Evil pizza to deliver via Uber Eats 2 miles to the hotel ... I headed down to the Chicken Pete's sports bar in the hotel and because the kitchen was getting ready to close they must have been ticked off as my white sauce cheese pizza was so covered in red pepper flakes and black pepper spice under the cheese that when I took my first bite(up in my room) I about choked it was so spicy ... I couldn't even eat it... so there was good and bad this trip... beautiful room, limited services, no snacks in the room, no room service or housekeeping, no pool, and absolutely unacceptable behavior to do that to someone's order... they should have just said they couldn't do it. So mean
Be the first to ReplyThe hotel elevator kept breaking and I had to keep climbing
The hotel elevator kept breaking and I had to keep climbing floors and floors of stairs. Also I had to call multiple times to have my room deep cleaned. There was hair on the pillow. Soda stains on the light fixture above the bed and it was very dusty. Also room service did not come even though I asked multiple times. Won't be staying there again.
Be the first to ReplyFull disclosure: I didn't end up staying here.
I did pass an hour here before a dinner reservation and it wasn't that impressive- it's a large space but the gaming floor was quite small, with very little variety. Ordered a drink that never arrived. After dinner, since I still had a few hours before my redeye, I went to the front desk and inquired about booking a room (intending to nap), but the price they quoted me was double what I found online. I asked if I could just book online- yes, but it may take up to an hour to show on their system. I asked if they could just match the online price- the front desk employee looked terrified at the thought. At this point I decided not to spend any more time trying to convince this business to accept my $150 for three hours or whatever and fucked off.
