Restaurants that do not even try to accommodate their
Restaurants that do not even try to accommodate their customers have no place setting up a business here in Singapore. I have dairy restrictions and always order pizza without cheese, but this restaurant refused to make a pizza this way. The waiter came back to inform us of their refusal to alter their pizza, so we called the manager over. He proceeded to explain that eliminating one item from the Pizza would confuse their kitchen staff. Obviously they hire total morons who cannot identify cheese as an item they can add or omit from food they're preparing. I could, possibly, understand this rigid policy if the kitchen is very busy, maybe, but the restaurant was half empty when we sat down, so they don't even have that sorry excuse. I suggest you set up your restaurant chain in prisons. You may get better reviews but I doubt it.

After much decision on what to eat among my two other friends, we ended up eating here at around 11.45am on a Saturday morning. It was not too crowded at that time and I was able to pick a corner table which could fit four. After much flipping from the menu, I decided to go for the bacon and pineapple pizza which they recommended (inside the menu). My other friends got Gratins. Ordered that with an addition of free flow beverage and like always, I always head for Schweppes' Ginger Ale.The flooring around the beverage section was sticky even though it was early in the morning. The food was served within 10 minutes. My personal pizza was a little bigger than what I thought it would be. The base was chewy and crunchy on its tips. The pineapple was alright and the bacon was not as crispy as i would like it to be. Price wise it was reasonable. While paying, the staff at the counter told us that we could only split the check into two bills. I decided to circle the items which I ordered but somehow the staff did my friends' bill first and I had to pay twice while my friends paid me back. A little confusing for me even though there is no service charge or GST included. This store is located near to the corner escalator and it was near Delifrance. This place definitely can fit big groups but might have to avoid peak hours.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a Japanese Italian restaurant.
It doesn't mean it's a fusion of cuisine, but it's basically Japanese processes cooking Italian food. At least that's my understanding of how the 2 are related as one. The place is like a cosy pizza place with interesting pictures on the wall. It's interesting how this place serve cheap alcohol in the form of cheap wine. They have a dish that i really love called the chicken bolognese doria which is very reasonably priced at $4.40. It is a baked rice with cheese and minced meat. It works perfectly the way the cheese and the rice melt into each other with each bite. There is one strange thing about the place and it's the self service factor that is involved with it. So if you want a glass of water, you have to serve yourself. Which feels a bit weird because it's a restaurant. Other than that they have pizzas, pastas, salads, steaks that are all reasonably priced.
