Freezing cold terrace with no heaters
The food was lovely BUT the meal was really ruined by how cold it was on the terrace. Now of course the restaurant isn’t responsible for the weather BUT I cannot understand how they charge these huge prices without providing any heaters?? Whilst they proudly talk about the terrace on the website there is no mention of the lack of heaters - and it’s totally natural to assume that a really expensive restaurant would have them. When you book they demand a £50pp deposit and whilst they DO warn you about the lack of heaters when they text the day before BUT by that time if we’d cancelled we’d have lost the £200 deposit because it was less than 24 hours before the booking! Despite taking loads of warm clothes it was so so cold. Everyone on the terrace looked frozen and miserable. Also three of us ordered bento boxes and I ordered off the al a carte. Their food arrived much quicker than mine and they had all finished their meal (and were desperate to leave due to the cold!) by the time my main course arrived. When I asked why the waitress said (three times) this was because they come from “different departments”...?! Don’t go unless it’s properly warm outside.

We came to Sake no Hana many times in London, It was always great experience - delicious food, great service and stylish and cozy interior. Can't wait when it opens again.

Go for the chef’s omakase!
I lived in Tokyo for 10 years and have eaten my fair share of excellent sushi, so it was refreshing to experience such exceptional quality sushi in London.
The chef prepares each piece of sushi with care and explanation.
It truly was an educational and enjoyable experience.
Go for the sake paring you enhance the flavors of the fish.
An overall wonderful sushi experience!!
Stunning food, slowest service
Had the 6 course menu, food was amazing but service was so slow that even the sushi chef complained about why we hadn't been given our food. Complaints made on numerous courses. If going for that menu I would say you need 3 hours which is just unacceptable for a lunch. Also complained via the website and had no response. Multiple tables complained on the same service. Shame because food was great and easily sorted problem that no one seems to accept is an issue.

Had a wonderful meal choosing the sakenotayori menu. Sushi portions were quite small but my salmon selection was delicious and @ good portion size.

Disappointing
Was expecting Sakenohana London to be incredible based on their sister restaurant in Uluwatu in Bali, which we visited last year and loved. Sadly this latest experience was very disappointing and overpriced for the quality of food and service . The, just shy of, £100 tasting menu was lacklustre and the steak (main event) should not even have been sent to the table as it was overcooked and chewy! sending it back meant that the dishes meant to arrive after the steak came to the table too early, not what you should expect from a high end restaurant, chain or otherwise.
The check was delivered to our table without any enquiry as to our experience . On voicing our opinion the ‘manager’ offered to comp our first drink!!! They don’t care, after all it’s London why would they, after all if you don’t like it so what!....Next please!
My opinion, don’t waste your money, even if your loaded, go to Roka on Charlotte Street (fantastic) or Zuma (better in Miami though ).... step away from the hype!
