San Miguel Mexican grill & bar Mt. Pleasant Reviews from The Last Year
This was our first visit and it was a great experience.
From the luncheon menu we had two of the salad entrees--the Shrimp Cancun and the chicken and mushrooms. Both were excellent and the portions were large( brought some home for dinner). The wait staff is VERY attentive-- quite impressive. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend you give it a visit.
Seriously top notch Mexican food, service and experience.
Highly recommended. Huge portions, super fast service and fair prices for what you get. Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had and I'm a HUGE snob when it comes to this quisine.
Excellent! Best Mexican around.
Wife had carnitas - very fresh not dry. I had enchiladas rancheras. All great! Great atmosphere as well. Good outside seating area too. My new go to for Mexican!
My husband and I came here for lunch today on Cinco de Mayo
My husband and I came here for lunch today on Cinco de Mayo and it was great! The food was very delicious and had a great flavor. This was by far the BEST fajitas we've had anywhere in the lowcountry. Our waiter was very friendly and the food came out really quick! My berry margarita was very good too. We sat outside and they have a nice patio. Their prices aren't too bad compared to some places around the area. I can't wait to come back!
The food and service were okay.
My grandson and I ordered chicken fajitas. I was told it was made with breast meat but I have my doubts. I'm accustomed to and would have preferred that the breast meat be served in strips, not little unrecognizable bits. The flavor was good though. My 6-year-old granddaughter got a chicken quesadilla. It was full of chicken but was soggy so she had difficulty picking it up to eat it, so she only ate half. When it came time to pay, our server wasn't around. I finally waved over another employee and asked for the check.
One star not because the food or service was bad, the
One star not because the food or service was bad, the atmosphere is great, zero complaints there, but our pitcher of margaritas had zero alcohol, how do I know? I have a pocket breathalyzer. We both blew a 0. I called, they denied, offered me to come look in the trash at the empty bottles they poured in the house mix. Ok. Sure. That proves nothing. The proof was in the zero proof blow. Lost a couple of solid tipping customers and a ruined reputation. I'll tell anyone that will listen. Charleston is small. Won't take long for the word to get out. Not to mention, we cant be the only ones. I bet someone else suspected, but couldn't prove it. Suspicion confirmed friend. They were virgin margaritas.
Overall: A good neighborhood Mexican option.
The good: We really enjoy the food the few times we've been there. The burritos are huge but still packed with loads of flavor. There are a lot of different ingredients packed in them, and it is worth the price. The menu is vast across the typical Mexican fare areas, with other offerings like the enchiladas being great as well. Service was friendly. The not-so-good: Our margaritas weren't strong at all. On a busy night, which seems to be often, the place loud and crowded. The space isn't huge, so everyone is crammed together with not too much space between tables. Food/drink: 8/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Service: 8/10
Food wasn't up to par.
Service was worst I've had in Mt. pleasant. Took over an hour to get simple orders after we finally were asked to place our orders. We watched people at other tables get served, eat and leave and they came in after we did. If the waiter forgot to place our orders, he could have at least told us and we would have understood. We asked for the owner, and we knew he was there, but he never showed up at our table. I'm afraid this has happened to us too many times for us to return .
Amazing Mexican! Margaritas are 10/10! Highly recommend for
Amazing Mexican! Margaritas are 10/10! Highly recommend for a family outing or family dinner.
I was charged $20+ for a seafood soup I returned.
It advertised calamari and octopus. When I mentioned it didn't have any, they said they were aware. After I returned it, I told them I wanted the bill for the margarita I had. They charged me for everything. I made it abundantly clear that the soup was not consumed, that it was false advertising, and they need to take it off my bill. They didn't. The margarita was good, hence the one star.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
