Sartiano's New York Reviews from The Last Year

So my girl ordered some kind of seafood pasta dish that she absolutely swears by. I don't eat seafood so I went with meatballs (fire) and a salad (which had a little too much Caesar dressing). But the one thing you have to absolutely try is the tiramisu. Best ever hands down. And I consider myself a tiramisu expert. Do not leave this place without trying this. The restaurant is also beautiful and the staff is friendly.
Had an amazing experience at Sartianos.
From the greeting till the very end. Really cool vibes in this restaurant. Moderate noise level. Great experience from the host and the servers. We were celebrating a birthday. Focaccia bread and Caesar salad which tasted amazing! We also got a bottle of wine and had a few questions, they had the sommelier available to help us decide on our wine choice which was great. We tried the lasagna which was different made with white sauce and truffle butter and a spicy lobster bucatini which is a popular dish! Ended with chocolate covered tiramisu and decaf latte. The service was amazing! Great recommendations and very attentive. 10/10 recommend!
I had the most amazing meal at Sartiano's.
We had the most incredible service by Dan! Will definitely be back!

One of my absolute favorites was the baked clams! They were exceptional and unlike I've ever tasted. For my entree I chose the lobster pasta. It had the right spice and was delicious. My only gripe is.. i wish they gave more. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all for a Saturday.
This was love at first bite.
We had three appetizers that were really yummy. The meatballs, burrata and focaccia. I had the lasagna which is a sideways stack of lasagna sheets with wild mushrooms and truffle mixed in between on a creamy sauce. It was heavenly! My husband dislikes mushrooms so he never eats them. He loved my pasta! On my friend's first try of her food she had a moment of silence and wonder and bliss. She was completely silent. We thought, what just happened. She said her pasta was so extremely good that she had a big big pause. She had the spaghetti with crab. We ended up trying each others pasta and thought woweee, it was all incredible. The only thing I did not like was my dessert. I ordered the gelato and it was not gelato. It was three grainy balls of flavored-frozen milk. I'm sure the other desserts were great. I just didn't try them. The service and ambiance were great. We will certainly visit again on our next New York trip.

The food is absolutely delicious! I've been a few times now and there isn't anything on the menu that I don't love. From the truffle lasagna to the meatballs everything is perfection. The service is great and the ambiance is chic.

We ate here because we were staying at the Mercer Hotel as Santiano's is connected by the lobby area. Food is heavy and ambiance is dark. If you like the dark dim light vibe, this is your place. It has an early mid century interior with exposed brick walls. The food is very heavy and the portions are hefty. We got the crab spaghetti, meatballs, lasagne and focaccia bread. The meatballs come with 4 pieces. This is definitely enough as a meal. The tomato sauce was ok. It could have had more tang to it. They don't have hot sauce or chili oil to balance it but they have chili flakes if you ask. The spaghetti was very heavy and creamy. I didn't like it. The lasagne was sliced thin then pan fried with a cream truffle sauce. I didn't really enjoy it and took only a few bites. The focaccia bread was yummy. If ever I would come back I would just get the meatballs and focaccia bread. Keep in mind the focaccia bread is different. It's very crispy and oily which is a great combination. The service was very attentive but it felt like they rush you out. Reservations aren't hard to get on Resy. But if you walk in you can get drinks at the bar upstairs which has a better ambiance. I think the food might also be limited. As for price, it's very expensive. I don't feel like I would come back. There are many many other Italian places in SoHo that are more delicious, more affordable with better vibes.
Everything is amazing.
The food, the ambiance, the service. Highly recommend. The seasonal butternut squash pasta was by far our favorite dish.

Look no further for the perfect spot for a night out in New York City! This lively gem not only boasts an energetic crowd but also serves up some of the finest Italian cuisine in town. The pasta dishes are divine, and the Caesar salad is a standout. With its vibrant atmosphere and mouthwatering food, it's a definite 5/5 dining destination.
Absolutely satisfied with food and service
We visited this restaurant with a group of four and were absolutely satisfied. The service was perfect despite the restaurant being fully packed. Food was excellent quality. We had different dishes and all four of us were very happy with our choices. The desserts were also delicious. If you're looking for something negative, maybe it's the fact that it was a bit noisy overall in the crowded restaurant.
Fantastic! Service, ambience, food, drinks, all 5.
0/5.0 stars. No notes. One of the best meals I've had recently. Head and shoulders above most other downtown Italian spots; I would even give it the edge over Torrisi, personally. Deserving of a Michelin star.
Food 7/10 Throwback to six years ago when I ate here and it
Food 7/10 Throwback to six years ago when I ate here and it still was Mercer Kitchen. RIP. The focaccia was stellar, definitely a must get. The bucatini was slightly lacking in bounce and had only four pieces of lobster. The salad and meatballs were fine, not necessary though. The affogato was very good and the tiramisu was way too sweet. Atmosphere 9/10 Very vibey dim lighting interior, spacious and bar area also probably good for corporate events. Service 7/10 Solid service, nothing horrible but nothing outstanding.
Great spot with an amazing piedmont red.
Called Nebbiolo D'alba indigenous... so good. We had the meatballs, Caesar salad, chicken Marsala and bolognese. All were great. Our server was excellent but it took a long time for the others helping to clear the appy plates and then The dinner plates. Annoying. Not as attentive as I would like. Otherwise, the restaurant was beautiful! It was a great find after a day of shopping.
Amazing birthday dinner with my friends.
The mushroom lasagna was my favorite, as well as the glazed carrots. Service was underwhelming being that it was a busy Friday night in New York, but the food & beautiful restaurant made it 100% worth it. I would recommend going with a small group of 6 or less.
Went here with Mi Amore for Valentines Day.
They had a pop up collab with Valentino given fashion week. We headed downstairs and were seated right away (keep in mind we had reservations). Service was great, fully attentive and constantly checking in to make sure all was up to par. Everything we ordered was nothing short of amazing! We had the meatballs, baked clams, ricotta and yellowtail tartare to start, also the Arancini! Decided on the lobster pasta dish- I was in the mood for pasta which had hints of spicyness- mmm mmm good!! We were disappointed that the Arancini literally came with only two but nevertheless those two sufficed. I had a great time and the drinks did the job too. Let's not forget the affogato!! Presentation was everything!
My husband got a resy here for Valentine's Day.
It's super cute and vibey inside. The bar looks cozy with the brick wall and the rest of the room is dimly lit with tables and booths. There's also a coat check so it's convenient. We got two glasses of champagne, a glass of red wine, and espresso martini for drinks. The espresso martini was good but not really creamy. For dishes, we overordered. The food overall is good but I wouldn't rave about any particular dish. For appetizers we got the meatballs, the homemade focaccia, and tuna tartar. The meatballs were tasty and came with crostini. Wish we got more for that sauce. The focaccia was delicious with the whipped riccotta.... For mains, we got the agnolotti and the Branzino. The Branzino was super tasty, it had a bunch of different flavors on the fish and the skin was nice and crispy. The agnolotti was tasty too if you're into that type of pasta. We also shared a side of broccolini. It was drizzled in olive oil and had some chili flakes. Yum. We then got dessert and shared the tiramisu and mini donuts. The tiramisu was chocolate covered. It was good but didn't taste like too much liquor. The mini fried donuts were warm and came with dipping sauces. We definitely got way too much and couldn't finish. Our waiter was also super attentive. Definitely come here for a date night and vibes, but don't expect to be blown away by the food.
My friend and I were able to snag a res (albeit a 9:45 PM
My friend and I were able to snag a res (albeit a 9:45 PM one on a Sunday night) and we're so glad we went! The restaurant has a gorgeous, moody interior; a great ambiance; and top-notch service. I expected the dress code to be strict after reading their website, but they didn't seem to be enforcing it inside. Now, I didn't particularly care for the limoncello spicy margarita; it tasted just like a jalapeño cocktail that I once purchased at Radio City Hall. The drinks were equally disappointing both times, and I was unable to finish either glass. The cavatelli was decent. I enjoyed the first few nibbles of the dish but grew bored of the flavors shortly after. The broccoli pesto was almost bitter, and although the sausage was flavorful, it was a bit dry. The lasagna was outstanding. I've tried too many dishes that were marred by heavy-handed use of truffle and was a bit skeptical of the lasagna for this reason, but I found myself enjoying each bite. It had the perfect amount of cream and a slightly smoky flavor that I loved. The chicken marsala was delicious. It was cooked to perfection--the meat was tender and juicy, and the skin was crispy. Beautiful presentation. The potato puree and truffle jus were tasty; though I disliked the black trumpet mushrooms. Would come back again to try more of the menu!
One word - incredible! What can I say the entire experience
One word - incredible! What can I say the entire experience from the minute we walked in till we left was so good, so professional, so sincere. Came to Sartiano's on a Saturday morning for brunch without a reservation. Was seated within 10 -15 minutes and were given an option to be downstairs or upstairs. We chose upstairs since we wanted to enjoy the Sun. We ordered smoked salmon Benedict and vegetable omelette, both were sooo good. Service was amazing and the hostess was the sweetest I have ever seen lately in NYC. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was latte being $9. I have to go back for dinner!
Amazing! The food does not disappoint.
The bartenders are amicable and the food is delicious. Please try the meatballs!
Overall pleasant night, nice ambiance, service was good.
Cocktails are acceptable, feel like several drinks were missing something. Also the wait was long for drink order. Dishes I enjoyed: *Scallop Crudo - trout roe was a plus. *Meatball - simple and tasty. *Arancini - cheesy creamy as expected. *Lobster Bucatini - tomato base was very good. Pasta was perfect texture, BUT lobster was served in shell, whyyy. *Roasted Carrot - so good! And the sauce underneath has spicy kick unexpected. *Broccollini - yum Dishes on the so so side: *Tomahawk - beautifully presented, temperature looks perfect, the taste just somehow unimpressive. *Baked Clam - clam was good but a bit too heavy on breading so it's too salty overall. *Brussel Sprouts - I'm just not a brussel sprout fan. Dishes little meh: *Foccacia - feel like if bread is charged $12 or should have been served warm. *Caesar Salad - not so much heart and soul within. *Fritto Misto - never had Fritto Misto this bland. *Chicken Marsala - huge cut but just a very boring breast protein. Sauce and mushroom was good though. *Truffle Gnocchi - so so.
Definitely a pass
Terrible nite at Sartianos! Atmosphere is underwhelming. Portions are TINY, the food itself is nothing special. Wish we had not wasted our money here, I definitely would not recommend Sartianos and we will not be going back.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!
Worked flawlessly!
Worked so well! I was a bit nervous, but everything went very smoothly. purchased the reservation, and got into the restaurant seamlessly.
Love this app!
So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res
instead of waiting weeks I got my 4 charles reservation instantly
Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
