😒 3/5 - So I'll start by saying that the sushi isn't bad by any

So I'll start by saying that the sushi isn't bad by any definition, but it wasn't for me personally. Boyfriend and I dropped in on a Saturday, pretty spontaneously whilst driving home. We both did the AYCE lunch (which was listed as a lower price on the door sign than it ended up being, but they removed the lunch only restrictions with the slightly higher price so a wash overall). The food had good taste for most of our rolls, but a big theme was the massive cuts of fish that really threw the texture off for us. This may be great for some people, and as mentioned the taste was quite good on the rolls, but the texture that the massive fish cuts gave the roll was very rough for us personally. I ordered unagi and almost everywhere else I've ordered it have gotten smaller pieces, but here got long strips of it (maybe like 3-4 inches in length?) and because of the size, you get a lot of the kind of jellified fat strip on the eel, which again was a texture issue for us. The traditional rolls I ordered were MASSIVE and very loosely rolled, which meant some of them fell apart as I was picking them up, not a massive issue for sure but something I noted. Finally, I ordered the Birthday roll (I think was the name?) And it came with strips of immigration crab laid across the top. The taste of the roll was quite good, but because the crab wasn't cut on the top, I ended up having to deconstruct the top of the rolls and then pick up little bits of crab to eat with it. While, again, the taste was good, it seems like more thought needs to go into the presentation on that one as both of us were stumped in how we were meant to eat it without deconstructing it (the rolls are presented as 2 rows, next to each other, so the crab pieces covered several pieces and were pretty solid, so not easily separated with chopsticks alone). To be absolutely fair, I did order this without the roe on top, so that may have changed the presentation on this one. Overall if you want a cosey little spot and like big cuts of fish in your rolls, you may want to give this place a try.
