Chili at Sauced
Super noisy place!! Alll wide open so no sound barrier. Can't even talk to the person next to you without talking in their ear. I had the chili. No beans. Meat & sauce only. Didn't care for it. Just a bowl of the same flavor (sauce) except for a bite of meat No garnish of any kind. Asked for some cheese and sour cream which they charged extra for. The cornbread was good, but the butter was rock solid so you couldn't spread it at all. Ran out of spoons so didn't get any until I asked and she brought me a plastic one. Bill was $31 and change and gave 8 dollars back from $40 and kept the change (without asking). Not a place I would recommend.

While visiting Anaheim on business, my coworkers and I wanted to get some barbecue for dinner on a weeknight. We have tried several BBQ places in the area and wanted something new. We decided to give Sauced BBQ and Spirits in Orange a try.
Upon arrival the place was fairly busy, but we were quickly seated. Due to Covid, they want you to scan a barcode to pull up the menu. I always find this difficult, as the menus are hard to read on my iPhone. One of my coworkers went to the greeterโs desk and obtained actual menus to read. Shortly after we arrived our server greeted us and offered drinks. When she returned with our drinks, we ordered our meals. I ordered the Sliced Brisket Sandwich, which is served southern style, with no frills, on a soft potato bun and a choice of one side. I ordered the waffle cut fries for my side.
Our food did not take very long to prepare. My brisket sandwich was very tasty with a decent amount of meat and the bun was soft. The fries were hot and tasted good too. They have different bbq sauce options for you to choose at your table. I tried all of them with different bites and they were all good.
The only issue I had was the cost of the meal. I thought their menu pricing was a bit too high, considering all of the options in the area. They also offer Axe Throwing near the bar area, but we did not try that activity.
Enjoy!
Great food, service lacking
Family night. Seated right away in the bar area. Reserved Ax throwing for 4 people. Ordered drinks and appetizers. Food and first drink came out right away. Ax throwing was hilarious and fun. Our server had trouble bringing our additional drink orders even after reminded twice.
Moved to a dinner table after the Ax throwing. The food was delicious. Service not much better in the busy dining room. Loud place.
dinner
first time here. busy place but no waiting. place was clean. kinda of loud. it is a bar and restaurant type place. located in a busy mall type area.
Be the first to ReplyGREAT food - the noise level is a little much
Five of us went to Sauced for the first time on 5/15. The food was incredible. Not a single food complaint.
Only issue was the noise level. The acoustics in the main room area is horrible.
I literally missed out on 95% of the conversations at the table, because you couldn't hear. If I choose to go to a club, I'd expect it to be that loud. The decibel reading I took (I have an app for work) read consistently between 84dB and 91+dB. This really needs to be addressed. Just from an employee safety standpoint. Long term exposure to those dB level and cause permanent hearing damage.
Delicious BBQ in OC
I decided to try this place after having a mad craving for all things BBQ and mac n cheese. First impression: the location is PRIME for ducks games and angels games. Iโd presume that once the pandemic subsides, there will be long waits to get into this place. There 2 different walk up bars which I know will be popular.
I ordered the burnt ends sandwich (YUM) and my boyfriend ordered the beef rib. Sides we ordered were the mac and cheese, baked beans, cornbread and the sweet potato casserole. I am a mac and cheese connoisseur and can say without a doubt you need to order their mac. They also have other types of mac to choose from if you prefer one with more kick. The cornbread comes with a side of some type of butter that I could eat alone - definitely order a side of that.
The meat lived up to everything our server described it as. Both meat plates were delicious and perfectly cooked.
We will definitely be back as there seems to be a plethora of meat options to try. There were a few loaded fry plates Iโll need to come back for after a hockey game too. Iโve also got my eye on the pulled pork sandwich.
PS - get the fried Oreos as dessert. Chefโs kiss.
