Serafina Time Hotel New York Reviews from The Last Year
If you like Italian food this is a good place to go.
It did seem a bit crowded when we were there. But the food was good and we had a god time. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.
In the city for work with my boss.
She has wanted to try this place so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant looks nice and I like the ambiance. The table is very close together but I guess as expected, it's NYC. I was surprised to see the patron sitting next to us have a dog (cute well behaving one) with him in the restaurant. The server was very nice and friendly. Unfortunately I didn't think the food is that good - at least for what I ordered. I ordered chicken breast pillard. The chicken is very dry and hard and there's not much favor to it. For my dish, I gave the place a 3-star. With so many good restaurants in the area, I would not recommend this one.
Had a good time at this spot the other night.
After a brisk walk around midtown we decided to go in for dinner. Very happy we did. We got a spot at the bar and were able to watch NBA playoffs. I had rigatoni bolognese and enjoyed it. Had a manhattan from the bar and was pleased. Great service at the bar. Loved the interior, couches to sit on in dining room.

Trying to figure out what cheap halal shop they are buying their nasty chicken from - it's not edible !
Food was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful.
Definitely on the pricier side, but I was assume that it's typical for this part of town. Service was also fairly slow. Took a bit to get our order in and water filled. Would come back again though!
Service pretty good.
Calamari tasted like frozen supermarket with jar of marinara sauce. Pizza slightly better than supermarket
Serafina at the Time hotel was very good.
We went for lunch and the service was great. The food was delicious. It's a nice restaurant in the perfect location for a meal before a show. We really enjoyed it.
Excellent Italian style service where maitre 'D chats
Excellent Italian style service where maitre 'D chats briefly to welcome You. Bartender kept my glass full my entire 2 hour visit. Perfect space to come in, warm up, have a drink and enjoy a high quality bite in a safe and cozy setting. Service was prompt, quality and presentation of food was impeccable. Will be back- Serafina feels like a little version of extended home.
This place isn't terrible but it's also not the best either.
As far as the service goes the staff is nice, welcoming and accommodating which is always a plus. The ambiance is a little loud but that's because they're located in the middle of everything so they get pretty packed. Where they lack is in some of their dishes. The carbonara, the chicken parm and the brussel sprouts are delicious. The other pastas and the bread are okay at best but what's really terrible is the mushroom ravioli. The mushroom ravioli is so salty you'll need a gallon of water to recover, it's essentially inedible despite how pretty it looks in pictures- avoid that at all costs. Otherwise you should be fine.
delcious meal at Serafina
Food excellent!! Gnocchi best ever, fried calamari, linguini carbonara excellent. Bartender Danny did great job and must say mgr Joe kept everything rolling like well poiled machine. This is terrific place and wife and I both highly trecommend!!
Stopped here for a pre show dinner.
We didn't have reservations but were able to be seated by the bar at a high top. Menu had lots of good options and staff were attentive. The crostini was tasty, though could have used a sauce of some sort. The spicy penne vodka was very tasty but not spicy at all. Prices were reasonable for the city and perfect for a bite near broadway. There was only one unisex restroom though which lead to a line.
Food was good.
Service was just a little bit slow but everyone was very nice and super accommodating. The hostess gave us such a great spot!

food: 4/5 + my pasta was great but i felt like there wasn't enough sauce and the temperature couldve been hotter. i also felt like the portion was lacking for almost a $30 entre ambiance: 4/5 + was overall very cute. booth was comfy. i loved the square candle on the table and decor. only complaint was the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other at a normal speaking volume service: 4/5 + our waiter came over immediately to take our order. we needed a few minutes and she returned within a good amount of time instead of taking forever to return. food came out quickly. drinks came out quickly. bill came quickly.
This review is specifically for the Serafina location
This review is specifically for the Serafina location located inside the Time Hotel on 49th Street in the Theater District. I'm usually skeptical of hotel restaurants, as they tend to appeal to the captive audience of guests staying at the hotel and don't seem to strive for the same level of excellence in terms of food, service, or ambiance as a standalone restaurants, but Serafina exceeded my expectations in all respects when my dining companion, her family, and I stopped in on a recent weeknight for a early dinner before a show. The overall ambiance is upscale casual with a modern urban aesthetic. It feels a little more generic when compared to the signature rustic Italian atmosphere reflected in the other Serafina locations I've visited. Our server was friendly and attentive without being overbearing and it's clear the staff know it's important to get diners served and on their way to before the curtain goes up for evening performances. Serafina offers a full-service bar as well as a robust menu of tasty Italian standards including salads, pastas, meat/chicken entrees, and their trademark pizzas. There's something to accommodate most diners -- even those with dietary preferences or restrictions. My dining companions and I shared the Bruschetta ($15), comprised of three pieces of toasted Italian bread topped with diced tomatoes, basil, olive oil, and a touch of garlic, and the Calamari ($19), a generous portion served with a generous portion of spicy tomato sauce. Both were really tasty. I opted for the Marinara pizza ($18), a simple combination of tomato, oregano, and garlic (and no cheese!) which is surprisingly difficult to find. My pizza (which seemed like the simplest dish in our order) came out a few minutes after my dining companions' entrees, which left the four of us sitting there a bit awkwardly, but it was worth the wait -- with a crispy crust and flavorful toppings. My dining companions enjoyed their entrees -- Spaghetti Squash ($25) with sautéed vegetables, pine nuts, and tomato sauce; Eggplant Parmigiana ($25) served with mozzarella and parmigiano cheese, tomato sauce, and fresh basil; and Rigatoni alla Bolognese ($27) with meat sauce -- as well, with all three leaving clean plates for the server. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area for a show. PRO TIP: Serafina and the Time Hotel don't have off-street parking facilities. Mass transit is a convenient and cost-efficient option. The restaurant is located within one block of the 49th Street station on the N/R/W subway line, the 50th Street station on the 1 subway line, and 50th Street station on the C/E subway line, so make sure to bring your OMNY card or MetroCard.

We only came in for a quick pasta, so can't speak for the other items but overall pasta was cooked Al dente and the portions were large. The fettuccine based pasta was a bit overcooked. Would be nice if the pasta came with bread though! The restaurant gets filled and busy so it's hard to get serves attentions sometimes.
2 dinners
We had dinner two evenings in this restaurant because the first experience was very good. We tried the pizza, the cesar salad, the orecchiette with broccoli, a cacio e pepe and a straw and hay. Attentive service and interesting dishes. Well done!
0/10 avoid at all costs!!!
Genuinely the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. To start there is one toilet on the ground floor which has a urinal in it and was hot and smelled like a portaloo in august, absolutely vile! The view is a gross old car park. We went there for ease to get a quick dinner before we saw the Book of Mormon and we both ordered a pizza. It came out cold with a tough base that you could barely cut through. Like they’d made a quick frozen oven pizza then left it on the side for 20 minutes and it took almost an hour to come out so I think that’s exactly what happened. When we told the waiter he just looked at us then after about 10 seconds said ‘do you want me to heat it up for you?’ Like obviously I don’t want a cold pizza but I also don’t want a microwave reheated one either. He took it back to the kitchen then TEN MINUTES later came back with microwaved pizzas which were then even more chewy. We asked for the manager who didn’t come for 10 more mins then I finally just said we will just pay for the drink and go, at which point the bar waiter had to intervene because the waiter could barely speak English so I’m not sure he even understood why I was annoyed. He finally came back with a $6 bill for 250ml of coke. Absolute joke and waste of over an hour. Couldn’t recommend it less. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
Good value, delicious food
Went to this restaurant twice during our trip. Clean, modern, reasonably priced restaurant with nice atmosphere & delicious food. Pasta dishes were particularly nice. Husband said pizza base a bit thin for his liking. Desserts, drinks & breads were good also.

The site doesn't have resources to properly execute a reservation transfer. Some places allow it however the best bet is to open a chat on the listing from the seller and communicate there

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
