inappropriate staff
a staff member at the bar was extremely inappropriate to me when I was alone and denied his actions when management got involved. I always stay at pali hotels in California for work trips, but that my last time.

Wow! Simonette offers scrumptious food, festive cocktails, and superb service from Vanessa in a charming, beautiful venue. I thought I was in a bistro in Paris. Whether dining out for a romantic anniversary, cocktails after work with friends, or a business luncheon, Simonette will charm your party. It is just steps from the historic Culver Hotel. I discovered Simonette quite by accident - and I'm glad I did. It's tucked away in a redeveloped hotel on a sidestreet - a short block from most of the restaurants and shops along Culver Blvd. The restaurant has a nice bar area, a small area for indoor seating, and an inviting outdoor patio. Everyone at the restaurant is gracious and friendly - particularly Colin, the food and beverage manager.
I started my lunch with a refreshing cocktail (the restaurant has a full bar). The Tour Du Monde cocktail: blanco tequila, ancho verde, grapefruit, green tea, and yuzu.
While many of the entrees have a "French flair", I opted for the Hamburger a Cheval: house burger with a fried egg on top, and fries on the side.
I'm looking forward to returning to Simonette for their weekend brunch.
The best!
Got to town on Friday and have eaten here twice and had drinks twice. Super charming, lovely food and drink and amazing service. Aria was everything. She is the reason we came back without a doubt.
Be the first to Replya really cute and simple place in the Palihotel
a really cute and simple place in the Palihotel in Culver City. the menu is very simple but the food is fresh and tasty. the staff is also quite friendly and efficient. the outside patio behind the bar is quite beautiful too. this hidden gem is worth a stop if you can find it.

One thing to note about my visit: I wasn't able to stay for the whole dinner, meaning I only got to sample two of the starter dishes before having to leave for the airport.
Good, that's cleared up.
I flew in to Los Angeles for the day to attend several meetings with attendees from our sister companies all over the world. My colleague and I were representing our company and our department, so we knew we'd have to attend the dinner once the meetings finally closed.
I was on the last flight out of LAX for home, so I knew going in I'd have to leave long before the rest of the team, but I thought I'd at least have a chance to eat part of an entree.
At any rate, the organizers of the meeting (and of dinner) set up a fixed menu with the restaurant, to allow them to serve a party of 20 in a decent amount of time. The two starters we got to try were the Carrot and Fennel salad and the Avocado Toast.
The salad was fresh and vibrant, and kind of hard to eat. Everything was served shaved - fennel and carrots included - so it was a bit difficult to gather up onto a fork to shovel into our faces. The salad came with some crispy chickpeas, which added an extra bit of crunch. The dressing was tart but tasty, and the whole thing worked together really well.
The avocado toast was surprisingly delightful. It was served on thick-cut brown bread, and had what I'm guessing was a balsamic vinaigrette sprinkled on top of the avocado, cheese and cherry tomatoes. It gave the toast an unexpected kick, which I really enjoyed.
It's unfortunate that we had to leave before the first entree came out (which the organizer kept apologizing about, which made me feel even worse for leaving early). I would have loved to sample the other items, just based on the two dishes I'd been fortunate enough to try. I do believe I would have immensely enjoyed the meal.
The waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when it came to my choice of adult beverage for the evening. He brought me a couple splashes to try, apologizing profusely when the one drink I wanted was out. He answered the questions of those at the table with us, and made sure that none of our drink or water glasses were ever empty.
I loved the vibe and feel of the restaurant - it was chic and classy, yet comfortable and welcoming. I hope to have a chance to return for a full meal someday soon!
Definitely hidden gem!
Very nice and cozy place. Drinks are very good. Short, but very well thought menu.
Try tomato soup it’s unusual. Very fast and friendly service.
Excellent experience, great food
I came here last night with three friends and all agreed we would be returning! The food was delicious, atmosphere was warm and welcoming, decor and style impressive and our server 5-star! It’s located behind the Arclight movie theater so tucked away from the busy Culver Blvd. Highly recommended!

Our coffee was delicious and the omelet was silky cheesy goodness. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area and certainly for the hotel guests.

This lovely little restaurant is on the ground floor of a boutique hotel, just off the main street with valet parking for $12 which you pay inside...they ended up charging just under $11 tho when we paid our bill and the valet....its a very cute place with lots of character, nice open space with a courtyard with a tree in the middle..lovely for a summer's evening....its a small menu but we all enjoyed what we had....(impossible burger, chicken & salad & steak frittes)...the waiters did an amazing job & were really onto it..constantly checking on us, pouring wine if glasses were low & just had a great friendly positive attitude...thanks for making us feel so welcome! The bar area also looked so cozy and I'll definitely head there again for a drink or dinner...
