I really wanted to love this place with five stars because
I really wanted to love this place with five stars because it is so gosh darn cute on the inside. I love the outdoor patio with the tree and sunlight shining through. Unfortunately, ambiance is the only part that receives a 5 star rating. I was flabbergasted that the waiter thought it was acceptable to bring literally burnt charcoal bacon to my friend. When I pointed it out, he acted as if the bacon was edible. Next, let's talk about parking. I didn't realize there were signs EVERYWHERE where you could get ticketed and valet parking is $15 bucks. Breakfast was about $50 and parking was $30 for my friend and I. The only way I would go back is if I am walking from a friend's house who lives nearby.

Had an AMAZING experience. Food was really good and they have so many options (my favorite was the French onion soup). Our two waiters Joe and Victor took care of us throughout the night (even when we accidentally served ourselves food on serving trays on accident oops lol) Made sure we had everything we needed and never had an empty glass. Definitely recommend!

Joe and Victor took care of us all night, all the food was amazing, especially the French onion soup. They have happy hour and amazing drinks, definitely make this your next stop! The vibe is great and laid back, you will have a great time!
Be the first to ReplyGreat lunch spot, the outdoor terrace is wonderful.
The brunch menu has something for everyone everyone
Be the first to ReplyI ordered Bouillabaisse but it didn't come with a broth.
Or even a spoon. I emailed the restaurant twice regarding this but no response. Very strange

Sabrina was great finding us a place during a busy afternoon.
Be the first to ReplyGreat ambiance.
Good food but would love a better selection. Nice servers. Parking sucks.
Be the first to ReplyWent for my wife's birthday on a very cold night.
She enjoyed every minute of the experience and loved the French initmate feel of the dining area. The food was excellent. Her sea bass, my Roadhouse burger, the wine, the onion soup all made the night for us. The Happy Hour prices for the wine and burger and the lovely chocolate tart they gave us because it was her birthday made the experience extra special. Easy and cheap parking in "The Steps" parking structure eased the pain and timing of the ridiculously frustrating skinny lanes of Culver City. But I don't want to get off on a rant here. A great evening.
Be the first to ReplyFood and Ambiance was perfect for a weekend brunch.
The Parisienne burger and the bergamot spritz cocktail were FIRE. Highly recommend. Victor, our server, was super helpful and enhanced our overall experience. We will definitely be back soon!
Be the first to ReplyI want to love this little place.
The atmosphere /ambiance is beautiful. The snootiness is beyond. Our server refused to let my group sit at the corner table I specifically reserved a couple weeks in advance citing that it wouldn't be big enough for our group of 5 (we were there to discuss business and have coffee). And he was just plain surly throughout our time there. The other servers weren't more pleasant. The entire staff acted like we were doing them a favor. And the menu was just eh. Disappointing.

I had breakfast in their charming indoor/outdoor restaurant which is an adjunct to the boutique hotel. The omelette was fluffy and delicate and the cafe latte was good. It was a quiet place to relax while my car was being serviced at a nearby dealership. I will probably return to try some menu options described by Yelpers.

The manager was extremely rude and because I was late, even though I called to inform him and there is a 15 minute grace period on Open Table, he gave up our outdoor table and really did not care. I never write bad reviews but he ruined my first experience there and my friend's birthday. I made this reservation over 3 weeks in advance and specifically only wanted to come for the outside seating. Any time I have been late to any other restaurant I have called to inform them and when I get there there is no issue. It was empty on a Saturday at 4:30 and said there was no room for us outside and sat us inside. He easily could have called me back before giving the table up if he didn't want to follow Open Table's policy or just have basic good customer service. Definitely won't be back.

Very cute little French Bistro on a side street in Culver City - it feels like a hidden gem tucked away in the neighborhood that you stumble upon. The bistro is in the lobby/front area of the Palihotel - small, quaint and cute. It has an indoor/outdoor flow and half the seating is outdoors. Many people were bringing their dogs so this place is definitely dog friendly. My friend and I came for Saturday brunch - place was nicely full and everyone was sitting outside enjoying the weather. Menu is small and limited so would suggest to look at the menu first to make sure you'll find something you'll enjoy to eat. I got their buckwheat crepe w the Gruyère, ham and egg...it was very tasty and I enjoyed it w a side of fries (crispy and thin cut fries). We also tried out their Crepe Suzette which was simple and tasty. Their menu is very French - simple but solid basics to choose from. Parking stinks as there are restriction signs all around - don't waste time driving around to find street parking. My friend and I parked in the public lot on Cardiff and walked over (not a bad walk at all) otherwise you can park @ the hotel w valet for $12. Would come back to try out their happy hour!
Be the first to ReplyReally beautiful and cute cafe like ambience.
A great vibe for dates or friends/family hangout meal. The food was really great ! Between the four of us we had the moules frites, omelette, burger, and a breakfast plate.I was really impressed with the mussels. They tasted very fresh and the French fries were amazing. We all devoured the fries pretty quickly . The only thing is for the prices no one was full. So come for a light meal or order multiple items !

Best brunch in Culver City hands down! Simonette is a great spot to enjoy a leisurely brunch. Farm fresh eggs, yummy pastries, mimosas/cocktails/coffee, a wonderful staff, and a darling open air dining area. Some faves of ours are the omelette with an amazing frisée salad, the American breakfast with crispy potatoes and bacon, a croissant with jam or chocolate croissant for something sweet, quiche. You can't go wrong!
Be the first to ReplyWhat a charming place.
Located off the main drag in Culver City, Simonette takes up the airy ground floor of a chic little boutique hotel near all the new Tech buildings nearby. Though the banquette booth seating is too cramped (c'mon folks, we're still in a pandemic) the bar and leafy back lounge area is the Parisian bistro you've been looking for. Though the food isn't at the supreme level of Petit Trois (what is?) my Duck Confit was very good, particularly the all important bean component. My dining partner enjoyed his oysters and the mussels going by our table will be my next order. Service was almost too fast, but I'll take it! I'll be back...

This was my first time visiting and the place was so cute! I loved the ambiance, it felt like a little Parisian bistro. The food and drinks were delicious as well. I have the omelette, which I highly recommend and the Sainte Fumme drink was also delicious. The only thing that would have made it better was more attentive service, but it's understandable considering the circumstances.

MIam Miam! (french for yum yum!) That's how I would describe this cute little French find. My boyfriend and I were walking around Downtown Culver City one day when we stumbled upon this little cafe restaurant. We decided to save it for one of our date nights and it did not disappoint. It was easy to make a reservation online. We checked in with the seating hostess and were immediately seated. There is an outdoor patio in the back and the whole ambience of the restaurant is very intimate. Our food was delicious and paired perfectly with Cotes du Rhone wine. Make note though, it does have weird hours. I think it was closed on one of the weekdays we originally wanted to go.

.. do not bother trying to park anywhere in the surrounding neighborhood...the array of nasty restriction sign totem poles in the area are a ticket waiting to happen. Go for the valet, it's easy breezy and 12 bucks out of your life.Roaring Parisian vibes abound from the moment you walk in. But not the old wave Epcot Center kind, the slick today kind. And because music matters to me, I gotta say, the mix here from old Parisian stereophonic hits to up-tempo funky delights, these guys have it dialed.Wifey & I started with the ESCARGOT (2.5 stars), then did our splitsville routine on the BEET SALAD (4.5), the DUCK CONFIT (5) and STEAK FRITES (4). I'm sure some people will love the giant puffy pastry pie that surrounds the warmed escargot but man, give me that proverbial mini muffin tin with the snails in there jacuzziing in boiling butter and garlic any day. Simonette's take on this classic was too much pastry for the goods. The beets in the BEET SALAD were perfectly textured and surrounded by crunchy seasoned delights. The STEAK FRITES, a scrumptious perfect medium/rare filet mignon with fries, was a tad wet but delicious. The highlight of the evening was the DUCK CONFIT. (my little girl calls it "duck comfy") Everyone who comes here must duck. Don't stop, drop and roll... Just Duck. We wrapped up the evening splitting the CRĘPE SUZETTE (peach) and the CHOCOLÁT TARTE. The tarte was not rave-worthy, but I would come back for that crêpe.

Fabulous French Food with a flair for charm !Loved this charming restaurant spot in downtown Culver City!We dined there for Sunday brunch - thoroughly enjoyed every morsel:Smoked salmon Tartine ( amazing and atop delicious country grain toast) Buckwheat crepe with ham, Gruyère , and eggAsparagus/green bean quiche- creamy custardy , generously sized wedge with a yummy crust and side of frisée salad Croissants Brûlée grapefruit Fantastic coffee All served in the most lovely and beautiful atrium !!!Cocktails looked great if I wasn't the driver We will definitely be back !!And, they take reservations:))
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance is nice.
The location gives it the feeling of a hidden gem. Service was friendly and prompt.Sigh.The cocktail names were puns, e.g. "More than a peeling."The tartare was minced too fine and was textured like a paste, although the flavor was well-balanced and enjoyable. The Côtés du Rhône red was acrid and astringent. The Sancerre white was pleasant, for a glass. The crème brûlée gave a satisfying crack and was a highlight.I wanted to love this place. I'm sure it would titillate my mother while allowing her to maintain her Protestant sensibilities. There was a palpable sadness that hung heavy in the air as the kitchen closed, as the diners looked at each other somehow stripped bare as we strained to smile in the timeless formless shapeless restaurant. My identity dissolved into kitsch and $17 cocktails with a side of pommes frites.Welcome to Culver City, everyone.
