Somac Korean Fusion Bar & Grill Chantilly Reviews from The Last Year
This place has been open for sometime but didn't visit it
This place has been open for sometime but didn't visit it earlier. Good and quick service. Ordered Bulgogi , spicy chicken , Sea food pancakes, all very every yummy. Portion size was very generous as well. Their sides come in very generous as well. Service was good and fast . Their recommendation was also spot on. Good place for a Friday or weekend diner.
Great ramen and service.
My wife doesn't not like ramen and after she tried mine she ordered it the next time we went for dinner. Which impressed me enough to leave a review. And now you're reading it.
Best chicken of all korean chicken places!!! only downside
Best chicken of all korean chicken places!!! only downside is limited flavors, but if you just like the classic soy garlic, try it!

Great food! We love the bulgogi rice balls, dumpling soup, and kimchi pancake. Just make sure to arrive before 9:30 or you'll get to go order only. Some says are super busy so be prepared for a wait.
The staff is super friendly, and food is some of the best
The staff is super friendly, and food is some of the best in the area. Definitely try the kimchi pancakes, they will pleasantly surprise you with their texture and savory taste. Otherwise any of their the ramen is a great choice.
At 6, this place starts to get packed.
But there's so much variety of Korean food and they even have ramen. The chicken and seafood pancake took some time but the bibimbap and soup came out right away. I like the place a lot as it's constantly streaming sports and Korean music videos. I would come back and wish there was a place like this closer to where I lived. Def my type of place. They also do takeout and big orders.
Things got off to a great start when my Sapporo beer showed
Things got off to a great start when my Sapporo beer showed up at the table in a big icy mug. The food that followed did not disappoint. My wife and I both ordered the Dolsot Bibimbap (she got pork, I got chicken). They were both really delicious and perfect for a cold night. The service was excellent too. This was our first time here and we will definitely be coming back.

The restaurant is spaciuos with a lot of seating, and had 2 or 3 servers working around the time we arrived (3pm). Although there were 3 servers, they all left the old dirty dishes from previous customers sitting out on the table for hours.. [Food: 4 of 5]] so dduk - so dduk? - It came out first, and was super good. The rice cakes were crispy; the sausages were a bit over cooked for my liking but the whole dish tasted great with their sweet chili sauce. Fish Cake Soup- This soup was so hearty, and super hot. It paired amazingly well with our cold noodle soup. A bite of hot soup, with a bite of cold noodles. It was like the best of both worlds. We couldn't finish this soup because there was just so much of it; it is the perfect soup to share as a table. Cold Noodle Soup/ Mul Naengmyeon : This dish is seasonal, and my friend and I were afraid they wouldn't have it in season anymore since it's getting colder now and we're into the Fall season. Luckily, they did have it so of course we had to order it. The cold broth was refreshing, and tasted great with a dash of mustard and vinegar. Korean Fried Chicken- you have to order this first (recommended) since it takes over 30 mins to cook for it to get crispy. we ordered half soy garlic and half spicy. The chicken was crispy but could use more flavor/sauce. The sauce barely coated the chicken, so it kind of just tasted like eating at popeyes. The spicy wings were not spicy, it had a kick at first but then went away immediately. The soy garlic was good, but I wish it had more sauce on them. Water: I assume their water is just form the tap, but I would recommend not drinking it. It honestly tasted so bad, we contemplated buying a bottle of water from them. But ended up just choosing sodas. All in all, it was pretty good.
Great spot, looks like a family owned restaurant.
Very nice people, really good food!
The chicken wings were fantastic, wish we had tried
The chicken wings were fantastic, wish we had tried earlier, now we know! We got takeout but the restaurant is always very busy. Need to go in and try ramen!
Came here one night trying to find a good ramen soup.
I was not disappointed. The soup is hotly and made spicy to your liking. We have had several dishes here and have enjoyed them all. The fried beef dumplings are a must have for us each time we go in. If you have the time to wait for their special chicken, it is absolutely worth it. In a cold windy night the Ramen (there are multiple types) are very comforting and they have a very creative way of taking them to go and you putting it together when you get home so that you get the full effect as if you were sitting in the restaurant. My favorite is the Korean ramen with the mild broth with the spicy pork. That is just spicy enough for me. The food here is sooo good and the family that runs this restaurant are really wonderful people. They do a hopping take out business.
I might normally never visit Somac on a regular occasion
I might normally never visit Somac on a regular occasion except for the fact that I was driving by on my way to Point B and needed lunch in a bad way. The menu is in English (almost no Korean) and it says "Bar" in their title, so I would've Never expected decent or even good Korean food, and I was wrong. The place is very dark colored, even during a bright sunny weekday afternoon. There were patrons even at lunch. The service was actually very not bad. The bulgogi soon do bu (medium spicy) I ordered was served piping hot and surprisingly tasty. The bulgogi was tasty (a bit sparse) and Lots of tofu - yumm. They even gave me 4 little sides (kimchi, cucumbers, radish, and fish cakes) with my order. Def worth a stop if you're in the area.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
