Soothr New York Reviews from The Last Year
So freakin good! I could eat here twice a week.
The flavors and presentation as well as service are fantastic. Great vibe too at the bar area.
We got the crab fried rice here and it was so tasty.
My wife enjoyed their specialty cocktails. Everything was so fresh and tasty. We love this restaurant!
The food was FREAKING FANTASTIC.
I have no pics because I was too tired, it was too cramped, and it was very loud. But the food was spectacular. We had different types of curry noodles, crab fried rice, and tons of other stuff. Best Thai food I've ever had. Except for in Thailand.

So glad I came back! I had an emailed, confirmed reservation of 7 people. They are strict on the Only Seating with Completed Parties - they must have counted my group about 3x. We were seated in a pretty cramped table but it turned out okay. The recommendations from the staff are truly good - the Hoi Johr dumplings have shrimp, pork, grab and sticky rice and come with a sweet sauce. ($14 for 4 pieces) I got the Amethyst cocktail which was very pretty and quite strong. ($21) The highlight was truly the seared pork green curry ($26) and the Karee Pu noodles ($30) which when thoroughly mixed together, the crab meat and curry and noodles have you grabbing a spoon to get every last bite! The spice builds up but still isn't too bad, the flavor is worth it.
Really yummy Thai place that specializes in more noodle
Really yummy Thai place that specializes in more noodle dishes than other places. Arrived there at 5 pm on a Wednesday with no reservation for 5 and we were able to get a table outside. It's pretty crowded so I recommend reservations. We got the duck noodles, khao soi chicken, koong karee, and crab fried rice (not pictured) which are their most popular dishes. Everything was super flavorful, and I enjoyed mixing the Koong Karee with the fried rice! Khao soi chicken was super tender and juicy. It was savory and sweet with a hint of lime! The duck noodles were my favorite; I enjoyed their house gravy and super tender duck. I never had this type of dish before in Thai cuisine. The Koong Karee had a decent amount of shrimp and huge amount of curry. It's not spicy at all and is very creamy and not as thick! I would come back here to try their other Thai dishes
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in NYC.
Dishes are unique and leave me craving it even after I leave. Koong karee: 10/10 Dry Sukhothai noodles: 10/10 Duck egg rolls: 8/10 (more woodear than duck) Duck noodles: 7/10 (a bit one dimensional, but if you like a sweet glaze over the duck with sweet soy sauce with a hint of fried garlic, this might be for you) Had yai chicken: 8/10 solid fried chicken without all that breading. All cocktails are incredible! Service: efficient, attentive Ambiance: Loud and lively.

This place is so good! They also have very creative and tasty cocktails. We got the duck noodles, shrimp egg curry, eggplant salad, and seafood Tom Yum soup. The duck noodle and the eggplant salads are my favorite dishes. These are both must get items from the extensive menu. The shrimp egg curry is also very good. I probably would not get the Tom Yum soup again since it's a bit too acidic and you can tell they probably just use a fix of frozen seafood in the soup. It didn't taste as fresh.
Quite good food and service
We were a party of 7 with a reservation at 8 PM. On arrival we were seated right away. Service by Peary P was outstanding. We shared 8 dishes and all were really good. The kitchen was fast and we easily finished our meal in the 90 minutes allocated.

4.5/5 Khao Soi 4/5 Koong Karee 4/5 Crab Fried Rice 4/5 Tom Yum 3/5 (complimentary) Veggie Dumplings and Meatballs
Excellent food.
Brings back memories of visit to Thailand. Simple yet elegant decor. Service was a little slow but food well worth it.

I have been a follower of this restaurant ever since they opened during COVID and no one would go there (oh how the times have changed!). So happy to see their spectacular success. I keep going back and forth with some other amazing entries in the neighborhood like Pranakhon, but this is almost certainly my favorite Thai food in the city. Such unique and delicious flavors, solid ingredients, awesome drinks. not to mention always excellent service whether dining in or take out. Fun ambiance also. Anyone who tries it through me raves about it. So happy to live nearby and now trying to become a regular at Sappe too (their sister restaurant).

Food was pretty good but every entree came out at different times so it was not ideal for our 4 person party. They are very strict on their 1 hour 15 min table limit so we were kicked out super quick. Smells weird coming in too? And tables were packed like sardines in the back per NYC style.
Lovely spot, fanatic food.
Can't wait to keep going back. I've been twice and each time was a treat. Incredible flavor in each dish. Service was friendly and prompt.
So good
I went to this place on a Saturday night and the wait time was 45 minutes for a party of four. The ambiance was nice but they tried to cram as many tables as they could into a small space. The service was excellent. We had a really nice, attentive server. The food was delicious but the portion sizes were a bit small for four people. We all left satisfied but not full, which was a good thing.
Thai tradition with NYC charm ππ
What a great spot! Soothr was a combination of traditional Thai food and NYC charm. The menu was great with all the usual Thai favourites. We shared a number of courses across prawn, duck green curry, pork noddles, spring rolls and the steamed buns. Services was really good and was mega quick⦠recommend you book as they have queues right down the street. They also have Singha beer so you can wash everything down with a cold Thai beer! The cocktail menu was also very good and they were able to modify these to make cocktails.
Absolute excellent
We enjoyed this place so much last year we came back for a second try. Duck green curry, Stewed Beef and Roasted Vegetable Masamun Curry, dumplings all greatβ¦..in fact itβs all good. Itβs popular and crowded so book as early as you can. Not to be missed.
Highly recommend
Our visit to Soothr was truly remarkable, as my friends and I had an exceptional dining experience. The opportunity to savor Thai cuisine prepared to Michelin standards, coupled with the attentive service provided by our server, left a profound impression on me. It's safe to say that I've developed a deep affection for this restaurant. I am eagerly looking forward to returning here on numerous occasions in the future! If you're seeking an authentic Thai culinary adventure, I highly recommend giving Soothr a try!
Excellent small bites!
We ordered 3 Small Bites, 2 Entrees, and a noodle dish. The 3 Small Bites -- Hoi Johr, Moo Dang Puff, and Soothr Jeeb dumplings -- were by far the best. The meats inside the dumplings seemed to be carefully marinated and were very tasty. The two entrees -- Koong Karee (sauteed shrimps) and Pla Tod (fried whole fish) -- were good but did not stand out to me, although one of my companions really loved the sauteed shrimps. The skin of the fried fish was very crispy and was supposed to be the best part. I liked the crispy skin but would have preferred to have a more flavorful sauce. The noodle dish, Beef Pad Si-iw, was good and on par with the same dish from other good Thai restaurants.

Ask a Question |
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue? |
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
