GEM IN CHELSEA
Beautiful outdoor indoor restaurant just off the Kings Road in Sydney St. Hidden gem in Chelsea because the courtyard is just beautiful! Food is great and the service is always spot on!! We will be back again.
Be the first to ReplyQuite disappointing but food wasn’t bad!!
Nice food and atmosphere. However, would NOT come here for a special occasion! Told them on the booking that it was my girlfriend’s birthday, also went up to tell them at the bar, asking if they could please bring something out to make her feel special. I was told to sit down and that they were already doing something… nothing came out and after 20 minutes of waiting, when asked, I was told that I hadn’t paid for anything and that they had made a mistake, despite me saying it was happy to pay. Very strange… Probably more of a casual spot to eat…

Wonderful meal in fabulous surroundings. The outdoor seating is just beautiful. Staff were lovely and service was excellent. This is a real gem of a restaurant and we’ll be back!
Be the first to ReplyA stunning restaurant
OMG. What an absolute gem of a restaurant. The food was incredibly delicious and there were excellent dishes to chose from. The waitress was knowledgeable and charming. I have recommended it to numerous friends.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent dinner!
One of the best dinner’s we’ve had in London, anywhere anytime. We shared a whole roasted breem that was cooked to perfection with the most delicious butter and herb sauce, and a truly amazing pork chop, also with wonderful roasted potatoes and green beans, and a delicious chocolate dessert called Nemesis, like a perfect light combination of cake and mousse. Everything was an absolute treat. We had just discovered tonight that our old favorite restaurant closed this year, so I think we’ve discovered a new one!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious lunch, lovely ambience
We had lunch in Stanley's after our intimate wedding in Chelsea Town Hall. The location was great as it was only few steps away! It's easily accessible - close to bus stops and train station. The customer service was excellent. The staff were absolutely friendly, helpful and efficient. It was a very busy day but they were always ready to help. The food was outstanding and we loved the beautiful decors and ambience. Everyone enjoyed the wines! Thank you Peter and the rest of the team for all your hard work and for making our wedding lunch memorable, happy and of course delicious!

Had a beautiful Sunday dinner with my parents. As always friendly and helpful team. Special mention to Adele who always stops for a chat and a laugh.
Be the first to ReplySuperb restaurant and dining experience
Thank you to Peter and his team for hosting our intimate wedding breakfast. We had the most incredible experience and could not have asked for better service. From the initial booking through to the day they could not have been any more accommodating. The menu comprised of 3 courses selected from the seasonal a la carte menu which was enjoyed by all our guests. The quality of the ingredients and portion sizes were perfect. We cannot wait to return to this brilliant neighbourhood restaurant. Nathan & Sean
Be the first to ReplyGood food, good service
Nice ambiance with a large patio area and lots of flowers. Good attentive service. A short menu with interesting food. The trout was excellent, a sizable piece with a side of roasted tomatoes. The prime rib was tasty and cooked just as requested. We most enjoyed the chocolate dessert with coffee crème fraiche- it was light and airy, a perfect end for a summer meal. But the restaurant was so loud that even at a very small table we could not have a conversation.

My first time at Stanley’s - had booked a table outside for lunch but the temperature just fell off the cliff that day, so ate inside . The food was terrific , I had the buratta to start with followed by the Lamb . The lamb was tender and beautifully cooked , my only regret is that the kitchen sprinkled rock salt over the Lamb which was a shame given the high quality of the meat. The highlight of our visit was the outstanding service provided by all the staff we encountered , special mention to go to the lady who took our orders and ensured that we had the best time. Definitely return and thanks a million
Be the first to ReplyBirthday celebration at Stanleys
Thank you Stanley’s Chelsea for the best time and the most wonderful team looking after us. The food was incredible, service was perfection and the restaurant is beautiful. Perfect for date night, drinks or a party or event. We cannot wait to come back and highly recommend.

Greeting nice, restaurant cosy and comfortable. Food excellent, service was not with a smile! Main course took ages to arrive circa 30 minutes. Asked for small birthday cake weeks before when booked. One of us ordered carrot cake dessert which arrived with a candle stuck in it! Zero effort to provide a small cake of any kind . Then to be told the carrot cake was doubling as the birthday cake spoiled the otherwise nice evening.

We had the cod and it had no taste even with a sauce and some tomatoes. For the first time ever in a restaurant I had to add salt and pepper. The runner beans were under cooked and the new potatoes were basic. Dessert was also a let down. There was nothing special about this place.

Amazing spot for a birthday celebration. Great food and excellent service. The truffle gnocchis are highly recommended 🤩

A curate's egg of a restaurant. The space itself is charming - a garden courtyard tucked away off the King's Road, perfect for a warm summer's evening. The interior (which was empty when we visited) also looks very comfortable and welcoming. The menu is short, with some half dozen starters and mains and only a couple of desserts. It's also lacking in balance - the two meat main courses are both steaks (albeit with different dressings) and, when we visited one of the two fish mains was no longer available. The wine list is also unbalanced, with seven of the red wines (out of fifteen) being clarets - and only one of those (the "house" claret) being under £100. Only three of the reds is under £50. All this made choosing food and wine more difficult than it should be and, at almost £500 for four (including pre-dinner drinks and two bottles of wine (but not the claret), not great value for what was produced. Service was ok but no more than that

I have visited a few times and the service has always been excellent as it was this time. I don't knock places when they falter, it is a tough business. We all have our off days. On this very recent visit Stanley's felt a little tired and lacking in a little finesse. I couldn't fault the food which was all delicious. I also fully understand they cannot always accommodate every diners request. One of our party asked if they had plain, peas any type or tender-stem broccoli, green beans, soya beans, peppers (bell or Padron) or even cucumber. They didn't. It would then have been a thoughtful gesture to put a cracker/biscuit on her saucer with her coffee as she ate nothing. Hey ho. She would have settled for a Lotus biscuit! Our cocktails were fantastic. Passion Fruit Martini and a Tidal Mojito. Cods roe starter and the Secret Smokehouse Salmon delicious. The menu is short but makes up for it in the ingenious combinations of flavours in every quirky dish. We shared the sea bream with warm greens and new potatoes and loved it. Perfection. Interestingly the warm green salad came with sugar snap peas ! Pity it wasn't mentioned when we were listing the vegetables. We enjoyed our meal, previous visits have felt more accommodating and professional so perhaps they can take this little note on board. We will return (with our own biscuits, for the fussy eater)!
Be the first to ReplyWhat a sweet little restaurant!
What a beautiful space, both indoors and outdoors! When you come, make sure to book a table outside, as it is so beautiful. Its also covered so sun and rain are not an issue. The menu is average in size, with both small plates and entrees. As 2 people, we ordered 4 small plates to split. Sadly, the food was not as extraordinary as the scenery in our opinion. The portions were small for big prices and most of the dishes were underseasoned. We would come back for drinks and dessert though!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely delicious
Love Stanley’s. The outside covered terrace is always buzzy and busy with a great atmosphere I had a sublime black truffle Gnocchi and then the superb roasted Halibut w/chive sauce, sea herbs and new potatoes It was really excellent. Thank you chef.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with my family. We ordered steaks and some deserts. Food was brilliant and so was the service. Will definitely return. 10/10

Fantastic outdoor space with an incredible General Manager. Food is good. Staff are all sweet and polite also.
Be the first to ReplyA good neighbourhood restaurant
This place has a great atmosphere particularly outside and is cleverly decorated to give a sense of being somewhere smart and upmarket. The food is good and well presented. The wine list is solid and well priced, service good. The only course which let it down was the brined citrus chicken which while very tender and beautifully cooked lacked flavour and had no zing of citrus whatsoever. However everything else was very good and we will return.

Great place with delicious cocktails in a lovely setting. Amazing service. Highly recommend and will be back.

Lovely atmosphere, the staff are lovely and service was quick and efficient. Will definitely be going again.
Be the first to ReplyLovely save for the food and wine.
Everything was lovely, staff, surroundings, modest sized clientele, except the food and wine which were grim. Seems a pity.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful Food, great staff
Have been here a few times now. A hidden gem. Great food although a limited menu so that needs to change to keep people coming back. Fantastic staff.
