The Pressure Is Good For You - STK has rolled out a new Happy Hour menu and we were excited to try it out this past weekend. STK's Happy Hour menu is available from 2:30 - 6:30pm Monday through Friday and includes a selection of delicious cocktails and light bites in a sexy environment. We arrived at STK and were seated in the bar. STK is sleek with a side of scene - the aesthetic is sultry with blue uplighting, grand white florals and a live DJ who keeps the energy high. Our server Rick was awesome - he was quick and professional with fast-paced service making sure we had everything that we needed throughout our Happy Hour. For drinks, Rick recommended that I try the Cucumber Stiletto which is one of STK's signature cocktails. The Cucumber Stiletto is made with Grey Goose Le Citron Vodka, St Germain, muddled cucumber & mint (HH price $9). Yum - a great recommendation from Rick. This cocktail was served in a martini glass with a floating cucumber garnish. The Cucumber Stiletto was smooth with a crisp finish - a refreshing choice as we get into warmer spring weather and an easy, elegant sipper that you can have several of.Rick brought us out a plethora of STK's Happy Hour bites & it was time to start eating. The Tuna Tartare Tacos were served atop guacamole (HH price $9). The Tuna Tartare tacos were one of my favorites from the HH menu - the three primary components of the tacos were the taco shell, guacamole, and of course the tartare. The crunchy taco shell contrasted beautifully in texture with the creamy guacamole and soft, diced tuna. The flavors were light, mild & overall refreshing. The Lil Brgs are made with wagyu beef, special sauce and served on a sesame seed bun (HH price $6). The wagyu beef on the Lil' Brgs was drool worthy - buttery & sweet. The texture of the meat was firm with a juicy interior that had serious umami flavor. The special sauce on the burgers gave them a tangy kick that we couldn't get enough of. You cannot go to STK and not get the Lil' Brgs - they are a MUST order and my favorite STK app.The Oysters on a Half Shell were served alongside mignonette and cocktail sauce (HH price $3). The east coast oysters had nice salinity and the west coast were sweet. We topped with tabasco for some spice. The Short Rib Croquettes were served with Mustard Cream (HH price $6). The Short Rib Croquettes were golden brown and completely filled with shredded, savory meat. Ross with his big appetite loved this beefy appetizer - nice & filling.STK's house sourdough bread is served in a cast iron pot with chive oil dipping sauce on the side (always free). STK's bread is the best - crisp on the outside, soft & fluffy on the inside. The chive dipping sauce the bread comes with is mouthwatering. The Crispy Calamari is made with basil, shishito peppers and served alongside roasted garlic & lime aioli and asian chili sauce (HH price $9). I loved the addition of the shishito peppers here - the peppers added a wonderful punch to a traditional calamari and added a nice green color contrast to the dish. The Giant Wagyu Meatballs are served in a cast iron skillet (HH price $6). The meatballs were big, bold and entirely made out of wagyu beef - rich & tender. The Tater Tots are served with a spicy aioli (HH price $3). The Tater Tots were piping hot discs that were crisp on the outside with fluffy goodness on the inside. The buttery, potato interior of these Tater Tots were top notch in texture. The Jalapeno Pickled Shrimp Cocktail was served alongside cocktail sauce (HH price $9). The shrimp were large and meaty with a good ocean flavor. We loved the spice from the cocktail sauce & jalapenos. Now that's how you Happy Hour Denver!

STK has been one of our favorite places to go in Denver for
STK has been one of our favorite places to go in Denver for several years. We have always enjoyed a night out starting at STK with fun music and a really fun, party atmosphere. We went yesterday, and despite the restaurant being empty, our service was seriously lacking. We ordered our drinks and food. The drinks came out, our salads came out. The person set them on the table and immediately walked away. I wanted salt and pepper (they are not on the table), and it was over 20 minutes before anyone came back to the table to check on us so we could request it. We have always loved their bread, and yesterday it was dry & cold. It's the first time we didn't request an additional serving! The steaks and sides were served. We all noticed that they are prepared differently than they used to be. The steaks were all charred to a crisp on the outside. Just strange. While they still tasted ok (crunchy and salty tho), it was not up to par with how things used to be at STK. We had really talked the restaurant up to a friend who had never been before, and I was embarrassed that she had to pay such high prices for a not so great meal. We won't be back.
🤢
As other have noted, STK has really changed.
Maybe new ownership or management. It would be hard to spend more but you can definitely do better. Had planned a romantic dinner with my wife, but STK had booked the bar out for a business event. The whole dinner we had to talk over PA announcements about winners and prizes for that event. When I mentioned this to the manager he could not of been less interested. "I am sorry you are not enjoying your experience." Not what you expect from an high end restaurant where steaks can easily top $100 (a side of horseradish is $12). Even worse the food was mediocre. My medium rare steak came out medium well and the slider appetizers were over cooked and tasteless. If you go, I would recommend the happy hour menu. The home made tater tot starter was very good. If you eat off the main menu expect to spend $300-$400 for a dinner for two of just average food and poor ambiance.

Angelique was an amazing server and we had a great dinner
Angelique was an amazing server and we had a great dinner before seeing Hamilton and it was honestly the best date night we've had in years. Her suggestions were wonderful and thoughtful and it was busy but all our food arrived in perfect timing for us to enjoy our meal and get to our show. Especially recommend the tater tots and crab oscar topping. Thank you STK!!
😍
I had a special time here.
The food was amazing, the servers were top tier, the music was my type and the vibe was just swank. Worth a visit for happy hour or dinner. I loved my experience. My boyfriend didn't care for the steak that much. I forgot the name of it but it was the $70 steak.
😒
Great food, terrible service.
If I rated this on services alone it would be one star. My husband and I ate here for our anniversary 3/22 and decided to splurge with an advertised Date Night menu which included appetizers, main course and dessert for $69 each. When we first sat down our waiter greeted us and we told him about our occasion. Then he didn't come back to our table again for a good 30 minutes. Then he took our whole order since we had been waiting so long. Another 20 minutes until our drinks arrived. This is how the entire night went. Each course took at LEAST 20 minutes from the time we finished until the next one showed up. My husbands order was wrong when it did show up, and although the food was amazing, it was hard to enjoy it when we felt so ignored, especially when it was for a special occasion. We both have worked in the restaurant service industry before so we tend to be very forgiving, but this was on a Monday night! I understand most places are understaffed and its not fast food but still, they were not busy. It took over 2 hours from the time we were sat to finish our meal and we left immediately after finishing. We agreed we wouldn't come back, especially for that price. Over $200 for 2 of us by the end of it. We had comparable food and a better experience at the Keg for about $100 cheaper. But you know, they did cover half of the $8 parking ticket so at least there is that.
😒
Good place to go if you want to brag how much you spent.
$100+ for one steak? $18 for a side of mashed potatoes? Loud music, more like a dive bar than fine steakhouse.
😍

Our group of four went for restaurant week with the expectation of eating at a set price by choosing from the limited menu. Everything, even down to the number of shrimp ($6/shrimp) is an up charge. I do not like being nickel and dimed for my food. The ambiance is a riot as the elegant, upscale food is juxtaposed against a club-type atmosphere with remixes of songs that took me back to high school prom. The food was okay, but diminished by the pricing structure. The service, however was top notch and that was much appreciated. Chalk this one up to experience with a note to be more careful around where we choose to dine for this week in 2023. It was an expensive lesson learned.
🤢
Rude hostess and way overpriced
The food is way overpriced and average at best. Way better steakhouses in Denver. The hostess was incredibly rude to us when checking into our reservation. After we got settled in at our table the same rude hostess stopped by and dropped off a card stating we have to be out of our table within in 90 minutes. 1) this made for an incredibly awkward moment that was completely unnecessary 2) I do not believe you should ever be rushed to eat a meal when a group of 4 will easily spend $500 on their meal.
Needless to say we will not be going back
😒
I've seen amazing videos about this place on Tik Tok.
I was so excited to see they made Denver Restaurant week list. Booking a reservation was easy through Open Table. The vibe was great and I loved the live DJ. This was one expensive dinner and the food was just ok. The service was fine.
Emily was amazing!!! Best service ever! Great food, great service. I have nothing bad to say about our four people business experience!

Loved the LA location, so we decided to try this while in town. Absolutely incredible experience yet again! Food was ON POINT. This might be our new tradition: try every STK we go while traveling. The steaks were perfection - food was absolutely great. Can't recommend it enough!

My boyfriend and I had the most incredible and memorable
My boyfriend and I had the most incredible and memorable experience at STK. Alfred and Dean provided service that far exceeded our expectations. The spicy watermelon cocktail is made with good quality liquor and the rim of the glass is dipped in salt and spicy and red pepper which gives an enjoyable contrast to the sweetness of the watermelon. The menu also includes more classic cocktails, but the spicy watermelon cocktail is the most popular for a reason. As far as food goes, we started with sliders and a Caesar salad and would recommend both. I've had the calamari as well but definitely recommend the sliders instead. There are a lot of options four dipping sauce, my favorites were truffle butter and the red wine sauce. The mac & cheese was to die for and so so good. Also, if you were celebrating your birthday, I saw them bring out dessert with a fountain candle but seemed so special compared to a typical birthday dessert. The restaurant atmosphere is modern and trendy. I was obsessed with the white floral lighting fixtures between the spacious booths. The music was not too loud but gave an upbeat and youthful vibe with remixes of popular songs in the hip-hop and pop genres. In addition to dinner, I've gotten lunch to go a couple of times. They have a lunch burger special for $9.99 that comes with potato chips.I recommend this restaurant even though it's pricey. When you come in, think of it as an experience and don't forget to order cocktails.
🤮
Waited over an hour and a half for a steak that I'm not
Waited over an hour and a half for a steak that I'm not even sure was safe to eat and I had to send it back the first time as it was raw, not medium rare. The Brussels sprouts looked like they were prepped days ago and it was an $18 side. Entree steaks for restaurant week were served with no sides? Really confusing menu and felt like a total scam. So disappointed. Spent almost $300 dollars on one of the worst dining experience in denver that was supposed to be discounted. Don't even get me started on the $21 cocktails w melty bar ice or the sorry ass may have been store-bought apple pie they call a crumble.
😍
This place is such a vibe.
Live DJ at night and a kickin happy hour menu. One of my favorite restaurants in Denver
😍
This is my second time at STK Denver.
This time here celebrating our anniversary. Each time even better experience. Food service and ambience were all exceptional. KT was our server she was amazing and we were even greeted by one of the general Directors, Larry who made us feel at at home and helped make our special night even more special. We will be back for sure!!!!
😍
Sean was great! Great atmosphere and delicious food.
10/10I recommend the Waygu steak!
We went in summer of 21 and my my how it's changed. We had a wild time back then to see what this place has become is just depressing. We were stoked AF for last night. The girls got sendy in leather and lace. It was going to be a night to remember... Oh well we were in for a night for sure. Of terrible music cold food and service worthy of olive garden. At least the olive garden's chef (a microwave) is consistent.First off it took us an hour after our reservation to get seated. Fine I get it, it's a busy Friday evening and we were all stoked to enjoy the atmosphere and food so what's an hour wait with a drink for the experience right? Wrong...Unfortunately it didn't get any better. The service was notably lacking for a restaurant with double the pricing of Del or Eddie Vs. I mean our waiter was non existent and just lame and uninspired. I don't know how to explain it but at Eddie Vs they treat you like kings and queens, the servers have their own business cards and take pride in their work. Hence why we we go often and ask for the same server and tip well over 20%. So It took forever to get our first round of drinks. Then we were told we had to order appetizers and our entree's at the same time because apparently the kitchen or wait staff are incompetent and can't course it otherwise. The apps were fine but the entrees arrived cold and presented poorly. I provide more pageantry feeding my dog the same meal everyday. Normally at these establishments they serve you the sides, but they were basically just tossed on the table. The music may have been the worst part of the experience. I can put up with a mediocre 2k meal if the atmosphere is bumping and the energy is popping. But nope. No 124 bmp (fisher, Chris lake, Dom Dolla, any electric edm jams) just some lame DJ and a terrible violinist playing the same lame songs that blended together and were just so low energy and boring It almost put us to sleep. I mean I feel the violinist just played the same chords or whatever for 4 hours. The music was appalling. We had company in town and talked this place up big time but ended up apologizing for the cacophony of trash music assaulting our eardrums while we choked down a cold meal...Sheesh. Never going back. If you really want to go to a nice steakhouse Eddie Vs blows this slophouse out of the water. If you want to be treated poorly, eat cold food, dump your cash down the toilet and have your ears assaulted this is the place to to go. Also that reminds me the bathroom didn't even have paper towels... Tldr: place is on par with a McDonald's ball pit...
Waited an hour after having reservations. Was sat next to a speaker and the waiter got our order wrong. Won't be coming back to this place .
😍
Had a great birthday experience with Jordan as our waiter.
He made it super duper memorable!

I took a few days contemplating if I was even going to
I took a few days contemplating if I was even going to write this review to ensure that I removed emotion and frustration. On 3/5/22 a buddy and I wanted to hit up STK. We wanted to have amazing steak in amazing atmosphere. First off, the atmosphere is wonderful and all engagement we had at that location with staff was top notch. The steak however was less that mediocre and I will only be expressing my experience as I know my buddy will be documenting his own experience (keep an eye out, its equally as disappointing).I ordered a Filet w/ King Crab Oscar and requested the King Crab Oscar on the side. This was so I could enjoy my steak and the crab and asparagus separate ( host recommended). About 45 minutes later my steak arrived ( it was 2:30 PM and we were the only ones in the restraint), Welp... it was not separated. I kindly showed my server who was very apologetic and said he will fix it and about 4-5 minutes later it came back out separate( did they just wash it off). I was surprised that they were able to cook another steak in that time frame. Upon cutting it open I noticed that my Filet was over cooked. I requested a medium and received a well-done steak. I called back over the waiter who took my steak and my buddies back to remake it.During that time, the server came over to apologize and so did a man in a gray suit ( told it was the operation manager for STK doing a visit). Another long while our steaks came back out, and the runner had me cut the steak open while he was there to ensure proper cook. Welp, this time my steak was burnt around the edges and blue RAW in the center. Again, I will not say what happen to my buddies' steak, but both of our steaks were sent back. Again, the server was very professional, but you could tell there was frustration in both the server and the runner at this point along with my buddy and MYSELF! And at this point we have been there around 1.5 hrs and HUNGRY. We decided to leave.I have no doubt that this location has amazing steaks with its amazing atmosphere. However, with our experience I do not know if I will justify the cost for the quality or recommend this place to friend, family, or colleagues. I would like to give it another chance but is that worth $200 worth of overcooked / raw steaks. A $400 brunch warrants more than just taking care of drink purchased, almost 2 hours of time and leaving under satisfied on empty stomachs.STK- if you are reading this, I would be happy to retract/update with a comp meal at your establishment. Thanks
😍

I'm not usually one to leave a review but I had to with this place. The food and ambiance are unmatched. It was nice to be in a fine dining restaurant and feel comfortable/ have fun. The manager (mark) stopped by our table and was really fun to talk to. He really made us feel welcomed! We will definitely be back.

So you hear about all these fancy expensive restaurants and think I have to try them . So we decided to try STK whileIn Denver on vacation & let's just say I don't recommend won't go back. Honestly I'm scared to try any other one based off of the drinks being horrible , the service being terrible and the manager being ridiculous . That's all I'll give this place but here's a view of some of my meal
🤮
For years I have heard people rave about STK steakhouse.
So for my best friends birthday we head to STK Steakhouse downtown Denver. Oh my gosh literally the only two things they had going for them were their steaks and the live DJ. Other than that, I don't know what crack mixed with meth people have been smoking. I spent almost $200, and I have everything that I ate at the restaurant in a bag in my refrigerator right now at home. I normally go to Del Frisco's who is consistent every single time. I am furious I spent so much money for this hot mess. My crabcake was light and bland but it was only $37, my Yukon mashed potatoes boxed mashed potatoes would've tasted better than that mess but it was only $18, I got some lobster butter on my filet mignon I had to ask the waiter where is the lobster he said oh there's really not lobster in it it's a butter sauce but there's lobster fat like who does that but that was only $12, I ask for steak sauce something like an A1 but STK steak sauce, it was a horrible knock off of A1 steak sauce but it was only two or three dollars, my muddled strawberry cobbler drink shaking my head but it was only $21 the menu said it had real graham cracker crust in the cocktail that's what intrigued me so I went for it, it was like wet sugar that did not taste like graham cracker crust. I'm disappointed, i'm not mad at the price I'm mad at the quality.
😍
Came for my partner's birthday.
As a group, we absolutely loved the food and drinks. Personally, I'm obsessed with the mashed potatoes; they are the best I've ever had! The ambience was perfect as well! The music was loud, but not unbearable. For those 30-something's that are too tired to go to the club, but still want to enjoy a party + good food.
🙂
Really amazing service from our server Jordan.
He was lovely and made sure to give us a great experience. I give it 4/5 for the food bot atmosphere and service was fab

Good lord, what a sublime dinner I experienced here! Food and service was so on point, impeccable. I live a ten minute walk from the location in San Juan Pr, but I'd happily fly back to Denver to dig into all of what that Colorado location puts out. Maybe it was the altitude- but something about the way the food was cared for and presented, or just our lovely server Kt. Dunno, but I can't wait to get back! Bravo

First time visiting the STK in Denver.
STK in general falls in and out of good grace with me. The night I went wasn't one of my best experiences. I had a steak and my date had lamb...both came out undercooked. Server was kind but overly talkative....friendly but didn't seem to know when to give us some space. Music is loud and not very good so my vibe check fails there. Overall the food was decent but at their price point I'm sure you can find a more worthy experience. Footnote: the mac and cheese is really good....without it I probably would've given them a 2/5.
🤮
Good food, but not worth over one thousand (1,000.00) for 3 people. It was rougly $1,200.00. It's too pricey!
We went to celebrate my daughter's and my grandson's birthdays. We went because of the A5 Wagyu steaks. He ordered an 8 ounce steak, and my daughter a 3 ounce one. She's the one who had been wanting to try the steak for quite a while, but was afraid it would not be cooked to her liking. It was not.
I just ordered a regular NY strip, medium well. My grandson and I ordered medium well. It was more rare than medium. I only ate the edges. My daughter ordered hers well done. It came medium well. She only picked the edges and left the rest. Maybe she had a half ounce; sad for such an expensive steak; sad because it was my present to both of them.
He enjoyed his food. He had crab as his topping. I ordered the Blue Iceberg and a "jumbo" crab cake as appetizers. It is just a regular sized crab cake. Both were great. I was the only one who had something besides water for drinks. My daughter had chocolate cake for her dessert. I ordered the apple pie. She wouldn't finish hers, and neither did I. Nothing great here. I have had better apple pies at different restaurants. Same with the chocolate cake. It's just too dry.
The atmosphere was too loud. The restaurant too packed. We were seated outside, with heat lamps, except the floor. We were very uncomfortable because our feet were freezing. I asked a manager about floor heaters, and he responded that they had broken down. One can assume that with such a pricey menu, someone could have gone to a nearby hardware store and picked up 3 floor heaters so customers' feet would not feel as if they were going to freeze!!!
The worst came early the next morning, when my grandson got sick from the food. We do not know if it was the crab he'd ordered as topper for his steak, or the steak itself. We will NOT GO BACK. It is very uncomfortable to enjoy your meal when you are sitting outside AND YOU ARE FREEZING! Something my grandson ate at the restaurant MADE HIM SICK!
I traveled to over 35 countries during my career, so I have enjoyed wonderful dinning experiences, and lousy ones.
Nathan was right on point! Thank you for all the help! The food was great and his recommendations were SpotOn!
I currently live upstairs from the STK and must go there at least once a week. The BEST place in Denver. The food is excellent and atmosphere is Awesome. My server K'chaun was excellent. Highly recommend to check this place out
🤮
CAREFUL, THEY DOUBLE CHARGE CREDIT CARDS
I was at STK Denver for Christmas Day with friends and we paid a bill of $934 out of which $778 was in cash and only $156 was on one credit card. The waitress charged the full amount on the credit card and took the cash and never reported it. She didn`t bring back a credit card voucher either and when we approached her about it she said it wasn't printing. When we realized what had happened, due to the bank statement, we brought it up to the manager, Diana Rodriguez, and although she already recognized the fact that the waitress stole from us and would reimburse the amount, its been more than a month and nothing. Trying to get in touch with her is impossible she is never "available". In addition to all this, the service from this waitress/thief was horrible.
Went to dinner here and from the host Britney to server Nate and Bartenders Mayar and Deb it was an AWESOME Night!!! Go here and ask for these people and try the Australian Wagyu!!!
🤢
Horrible service from the host to the manager to the servers.
The food was great - everything else was terrible. From the lack of any hospitality whatsoever at the host stand - to downright rude and indifference- from not only the hosts - but the supervisor manager. When we asked the manager why things were so bad with the hosts and check in process he actually said “I have no idea what they are doing”. They also tried to put 5 of us at a small 30” round in the lounge for our dinner. Seriously.
This restaurant has no redeeming qualities except a good vibe - food is just lousy and expense- drinks are not great Happy Hour a rip off - staff is friendly and look good but are not great at what they do
Very upscale restaurant. They gave us complimentary shots which was awesome. So we chose a steak that was $72 and the waiter suggested one which was better. When we got our ticket a 6oz steak was $311. The price wasn’t listed nor did the waiter inform us on the price difference.
It was literally the side of the bottom of the glass. I meant 3/4 cuts off the entire steak. So overrated as far as pricing.
But overall the food was amazing ! I had an awesome time. The music was nice. It was such a vibe.
