STOCK T.C Grocer Toronto Reviews from The Last Year
April 25/2024: Lunch with Slipp.
This was SO mediocre. The location itself was nice but we were crammed into a corner & the table was too small for me. Our server was a delightful young African Canadian woman that was very polite & accommodating. Always smiling & helpful. I have this place a 3* (and that's generous) because the food was so blah! The pizza (Funghi & Burratta) was $29.00 & it was super sparse with the topping, virtually ZERO taste & grossly undercooked to boot! As far as I'm concerned, this isn't a do over. No pics of this one.
Great vibes cozy and warm.
Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Pappardelle Angello - good pasta but flavours could be more impactful. Portion can be a touch larger. Brie tartufo pizza was good, not too earthy but well balanced for the pizza. Cookie was a touch dry but good size
Prepared food
We have eaten at Stock many times and love the food. Today we decided to try their prepared food and were very disappointed. The escargot (freezer section) need a lot more garlic. The steak and mushroom pie was a huge disappointment. Yes, there were big chunks of beef but I had only one small slice of mushroom in my slice (a quarter of the pie). There were lots of carrots which I wasn’t expecting and don’t like. Fortunately I made a peppercorn sauce to serve with it as it was on the dry side. The pastry was delicious. We also had the roasted cauliflower which was Ok. I wouldn’t buy the prepared food again.
service was terrible.
you can't change anything on any order. i asked for a hamburger without the bun and was told no. no changes to any menu item. the restaurant is going too far to save on labour costs.
The ambiance and service was great.
It's a nice place for a night out. The food is average. The burger was very ordinary a but dry. I got the halibut special and it was a little fishy and the flavours were lacking. not what I would expect for the price and restaurant caliber.
Noisy expensive lunch
I don’t know I feel silly for paying $24 for a mediocre salad The pasta was fine nothing really special Drinks are ridiculously overpriced unless you like a beer The tables are crammed together and it’s very hard to converse with who you are with because of the general noise of the space There has to be a better and cheaper spot for lunch at Yonge and Eglinton
Fantastic service and great food! I came in a party of 9
Fantastic service and great food! I came in a party of 9 and everyone enjoyed the food, cocktails and desserts. It was nice that we could get brunch and lunch menu items. I will definitely be back!
My wife and I had pasta which was sub mediocre.
Also had a salad which was limp and bland. The service was good. I won't be going back there. I don't care about ambiance. We usually go to grazie which is across the street. That is a five-star experience.
We went here with a group of 6.
We sat indoors at it was a day with high smoke levels. Had heard the patio was nice but not advisable that day. So crowded and loud. No one really liked their meals. Will not return.
Not value for money - stressful
Stressful service, cold food and the drinks came after the food. On too of that the fire alarm was on for a long time. Food ok but not great. We have heard alot about it but due to the service not value for money.
A must try
First visit and will not be our last. Angelo, our server was amazing, attentive with had a great sense of humour. Steak was delicious and a must try! Had the Ferrero dessert - mmmmmm very satisfying ❤️.
Accomodated a big table and our server was amazing! Nothing
Accomodated a big table and our server was amazing! Nothing was missed and amazing service. He was very knowledgeable of the entire menu. The food was good but not exceptional. Not somewhere I would crave but great environment and if someone asked if they should go there I would still say yes.
At the grocery counter when paying, there was no option
At the grocery counter when paying, there was no option for not leaving a tip and when one declines anyway, the message comes asking you again to reconsider. This is for groceries that the customer picked up themselves. Management , please pay your servers properly rather than intimidating your customers into paying them for you.
Excellent High Quality Specialty Food Shop
We were in Toronto in August 2023. Thankful to find Stock TC Grocer. They sell high quality food items, ranging from fresh meats, fish, seafood, to pantry items - jars, cans, dried pasta, cooking oils, to caviar, to packaged foods made on the premises and ready to heat and eat; a huge deli counter with wonderful food ready to eat; rotisserie chicken, Italian meal kits ready to go; and a fantastic bakery department. Everything we bought from Stock was of high quality and delicious: beef, spinach and mushroom wraps (huge size), cooked whole lobster, beet salad, roasted brussel sprouts, roasted maple glazed carrots. Pain au chocolat, pistachio croissant, palmiers. Ham off the bone for sandwiches, house-made meatballs. The staff were friendly and helpful. Their prices are higher than regular grocery stores, but, their products are of high quality. If you like to cook, you'll like this shop; if you don't like to cook, but like to eat good quality food, they have a huge selection of ready-made, already cooked foods that you only need to take home and heat up, to have a tasty, 'home made' meal.
I went there with a group.
Had two dishes. The Salmone Crudo and Tomato sphagetti dish. The bill with top came to 50$!!! Salmone crudo was good but the portion too small. So I had to order one more dish. Tomato spaghetti was okay. Nothing to write home about. Service is friendly. They have a lot of seating space and were abuzz on a weeknight.
Tasty food, attentive service and high prices
Stock TC provides attentive service and quality food. However, you will have to pay for it. We were a party of 7 and enjoyed the mushroom salad, sardines, calamari as appetizer. Our group had the bolognese pasta, seafood pasta, mushroom pasta special and the pistachio and mortadella pizza. All of the food came quickly and was very tasty. They are liberal in their use of good virgin olive oil. One member had a birthday and they brought out a hazelnut ice cream, chocolate crust dessert. We also ordered the brownie and lemon merignue pie to share. All portions were good-sized. However, it is all very expensive for pasta ($26-30). I found the seafood pasta a bit light on the seafood. I counted 3 mussels and 4 shrimp for $27 is pricey. The restaurant has a good vibe and you are smart to make reservations.
Great Ambiance - Good Food
Fabulous ambiance! We sat in the 3rd floor patio on a beautiful night. Service was fabulous and the food was good. I had the pork chop which was tasty but not lean enough. Mushroom salad was very good. The mushroom aide dish was just ‘ok’. I’d primarily go back for the ambiance.
Great Sunday lunch!
We had an amazing Father’s Day lunch at the Stock TC bar. This was the first time we tried this new concept from the Terroni group, that departures a bit from the authentic Italian cuisine, combining Terroni’s menu with the top-notch Cumbrae’s butcher shop in more international cuisine style. The casual yet hip inspired setting, has an AMAZING decor. The food was, as always is with this group, fantastic! We shared the Funghi Assoluti mushroom salad and the Ricota & Nduja pizza, while our son indulged in the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. For dessert, the Stock Rocker hazelnut delight is something to remember! A special shout-out to Stefano, our amazing server who shared his Piemonte heritage to recommend an amazing wine while walking us through the menu. All and all, a memorable experience!
Really disappointed.
This place is quite lovely and sumptuous looking. We were so disappointed with the food though. The $24 burger it was explained was prepared with steak, however, it was very plain and tasteless. No condiments - just lettuce and cheese - and nothing on the side. My daughter asked if they could give her some sliced onion and tomato, and they refused, saying they could not accommodate any changes. They did bring one pickle on a plate. The tagliatelle a la bolognese was plain and tasteless. The raviollini al uovo looked like two raviolis on a plate with runny egg yolk inside for $28. The San Giorgio pizza and the Stock salad were the only two dishes that were decent. And like many of the higher end restaurants these days, drinks were really expensive - the least expensive 5 oz glass of wine was $17 - no 8 oz or 9 oz option - only a super expensive bottle of wine. We'll never go there again.
Terrible Service won’t go again
Went to Stock Bar for the first time yesterday with friends. Took 10min waiting with Joey for them to figure out where our reserved table was, she was even embarrassed. Then when drinks were being ordered off of their less than impressive list, waiter couldn’t answer anything about it and and nothing we wanted was offered, or so we thought. Bright spot of the night was when the sommelier came to help and she arranged a bottle of wine exactly what we were looking for that the original server said they didn’t have. To top off the horrible service during dinner, no water filled, etc…waiter hovered over me to see what tip I would give him. Just horrible taste and we just couldn’t agree to tip anything normal. Price of food was good. Too bad the service made the whole experience bad enough to never want to go again.

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
