Prepared food
We have eaten at Stock many times and love the food. Today we decided to try their prepared food and were very disappointed. The escargot (freezer section) need a lot more garlic. The steak and mushroom pie was a huge disappointment. Yes, there were big chunks of beef but I had only one small slice of mushroom in my slice (a quarter of the pie). There were lots of carrots which I wasn’t expecting and don’t like. Fortunately I made a peppercorn sauce to serve with it as it was on the dry side. The pastry was delicious. We also had the roasted cauliflower which was Ok. I wouldn’t buy the prepared food again.
Be the first to ReplyNoisy expensive lunch
I don’t know I feel silly for paying $24 for a mediocre salad The pasta was fine nothing really special Drinks are ridiculously overpriced unless you like a beer The tables are crammed together and it’s very hard to converse with who you are with because of the general noise of the space There has to be a better and cheaper spot for lunch at Yonge and Eglinton
Be the first to ReplyNot value for money - stressful
Stressful service, cold food and the drinks came after the food. On too of that the fire alarm was on for a long time. Food ok but not great. We have heard alot about it but due to the service not value for money.

Be the first to ReplyExcellent High Quality Specialty Food Shop
We were in Toronto in August 2023. Thankful to find Stock TC Grocer. They sell high quality food items, ranging from fresh meats, fish, seafood, to pantry items - jars, cans, dried pasta, cooking oils, to caviar, to packaged foods made on the premises and ready to heat and eat; a huge deli counter with wonderful food ready to eat; rotisserie chicken, Italian meal kits ready to go; and a fantastic bakery department. Everything we bought from Stock was of high quality and delicious: beef, spinach and mushroom wraps (huge size), cooked whole lobster, beet salad, roasted brussel sprouts, roasted maple glazed carrots. Pain au chocolat, pistachio croissant, palmiers. Ham off the bone for sandwiches, house-made meatballs. The staff were friendly and helpful. Their prices are higher than regular grocery stores, but, their products are of high quality. If you like to cook, you'll like this shop; if you don't like to cook, but like to eat good quality food, they have a huge selection of ready-made, already cooked foods that you only need to take home and heat up, to have a tasty, 'home made' meal.
Be the first to ReplyTasty food, attentive service and high prices
Stock TC provides attentive service and quality food. However, you will have to pay for it. We were a party of 7 and enjoyed the mushroom salad, sardines, calamari as appetizer. Our group had the bolognese pasta, seafood pasta, mushroom pasta special and the pistachio and mortadella pizza. All of the food came quickly and was very tasty. They are liberal in their use of good virgin olive oil. One member had a birthday and they brought out a hazelnut ice cream, chocolate crust dessert. We also ordered the brownie and lemon merignue pie to share. All portions were good-sized. However, it is all very expensive for pasta ($26-30). I found the seafood pasta a bit light on the seafood. I counted 3 mussels and 4 shrimp for $27 is pricey. The restaurant has a good vibe and you are smart to make reservations.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Ambiance - Good Food
Fabulous ambiance! We sat in the 3rd floor patio on a beautiful night. Service was fabulous and the food was good. I had the pork chop which was tasty but not lean enough. Mushroom salad was very good. The mushroom aide dish was just ‘ok’. I’d primarily go back for the ambiance.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Sunday lunch!
We had an amazing Father’s Day lunch at the Stock TC bar. This was the first time we tried this new concept from the Terroni group, that departures a bit from the authentic Italian cuisine, combining Terroni’s menu with the top-notch Cumbrae’s butcher shop in more international cuisine style. The casual yet hip inspired setting, has an AMAZING decor. The food was, as always is with this group, fantastic! We shared the Funghi Assoluti mushroom salad and the Ricota & Nduja pizza, while our son indulged in the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. For dessert, the Stock Rocker hazelnut delight is something to remember! A special shout-out to Stefano, our amazing server who shared his Piemonte heritage to recommend an amazing wine while walking us through the menu. All and all, a memorable experience!
Be the first to ReplyReally disappointed.
This place is quite lovely and sumptuous looking. We were so disappointed with the food though. The $24 burger it was explained was prepared with steak, however, it was very plain and tasteless. No condiments - just lettuce and cheese - and nothing on the side. My daughter asked if they could give her some sliced onion and tomato, and they refused, saying they could not accommodate any changes. They did bring one pickle on a plate. The tagliatelle a la bolognese was plain and tasteless. The raviollini al uovo looked like two raviolis on a plate with runny egg yolk inside for $28. The San Giorgio pizza and the Stock salad were the only two dishes that were decent. And like many of the higher end restaurants these days, drinks were really expensive - the least expensive 5 oz glass of wine was $17 - no 8 oz or 9 oz option - only a super expensive bottle of wine. We'll never go there again.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible Service won’t go again
Went to Stock Bar for the first time yesterday with friends. Took 10min waiting with Joey for them to figure out where our reserved table was, she was even embarrassed. Then when drinks were being ordered off of their less than impressive list, waiter couldn’t answer anything about it and and nothing we wanted was offered, or so we thought. Bright spot of the night was when the sommelier came to help and she arranged a bottle of wine exactly what we were looking for that the original server said they didn’t have. To top off the horrible service during dinner, no water filled, etc…waiter hovered over me to see what tip I would give him. Just horrible taste and we just couldn’t agree to tip anything normal. Price of food was good. Too bad the service made the whole experience bad enough to never want to go again.

This place is all about glitz and glamour. Sure the resto is beautiful, but the food isn't! Ordered their Caesar salad and was told that it's not available. The server told me that there is a problem with romaine lettuce and bugs! I think he meant listeria but ok whatever. So I asked if they served alternate lettuce salads and he said yes. So I asked if they could substitute the romaine for the "bugless" lettuce and provide the dressing on the side. And guess what he said...................'Absolutely not'. So I had to order their Cobb salad which, for $24, was the the biggest joke of all. They threw on some leftover chicken, one scoop of mashed avocado, a cube of cheese that tasted past it's due date, and chewy bits of bacon. Not to mention the dressing was AWFUL. Next up was my order of Branzino. The fish sat naked on my plate, save for a small bowl of "pre masticated" capers (at least that's what it looked like). It did not come with sides of anything, just lay there on the plate - no olive oil, no lemon, no seasoning. All for $39. Wow No I will not be back, nor will I recommend it.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous place to meet family for lunch!!
My husband and I had a late lunch here with our daughter and boyfriend on Sunday. This was our first time dining at Stock. Service was exemplary!! Nice surroundings at Stock!! Our meals were fabulous. Our selections included foie gras, calamari, three pasta dishes and pizza. Plus drinks too. Food was sensational, albeit our mains didn’t come out at the same time. Afterwards we did some shopping at the grocer and got a bag full of goodies.
Be the first to ReplyGood option if in the neighborhood
I’m a little surprised to see the ratings so low. I give it 4 stars for the ambience. Which most Toronto restaurants lack, the decor, and our server, Immanuel (very courteous waiter). The food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, however, our steak and frites were a little tough. They also lacked flavour, which was quickly amended with some salt and jus. Prices are a bit too high, and maybe they shouldn’t have charged for bread

This restaurant looked lovely at first glance but we were not impressed with the meal. We asked that the poached eggs be well done and were told they do not do any alterations to the basic menu. Quiche was runny and coffee ordered “with the meal” came well before. Overall we felt it was pretentious and unaccommodating. Perhaps dinners are better :)
Be the first to ReplyNice restaurant deserving much better reviews than some that I have seen.
We arrived on time for our dinner reservation but took a quick tour of the beautiful store that is part of this location. We were greeted by a very warm, friendly waitress named Angie. The appetizers were absolutely terrific. Four of us shared Prosciutto Con Gnocco, Calamari Fritti and a Romaine salad. All three choices were delicious. I ate the Burger Royale and loved both the burger and the delicious fries that it was served with. Two pasta dishes were also enjoyed. The only dish that was not loved was the stock steak frites. It was prepared well and looked great, but the top sirloin was a little chewy. Would I go back? Absolutely.
Be the first to ReplyGood Italian restaurant
Solid menu, lots of choices Service was friendly and fast (we felt a little rushed) Food was good, pasta is served el Dante Great selection of wine and cocktails and very good at that, poor selection of beer

First time at stock tonight. Lovely atmosphere but the staff were not very friendly or helpful and everything on the menu is overpriced. Was shocked when they charged for bread! We were hoping to add a new restaurant to our Saturday nights out, but this will not be it.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the worst meals I experienced anywhere in the world! Bad food! High Prices!
When making a reservation I tried to order to arrive after dinner a peanut butter cookie cake. They were out. I picked two they had. Lemon pie and a brownie with ice cream. It was an anniversary dinner, and these were to come with a candle. They did not and the quality was poor. On arrival the hostess had an issue finding our reservation for four as made. They had us for two. We waited a while and four were seated. I asked for a draft beer. It was good but the glass was small, shaped to look bigger than it was. Others asked for a large water and ice. No large glasses. I ordered the BURGER ROYALE $24 9oz, with Boston lettuce, cheddar, Stock burger sauce, pickle. No side comes with the burger. I asked for fries $10. When the burger came it sat alone on a plate with a pickle. Presentation awful. The bun was soggy and the lettuce too and the sauce … the worst ever. I did not want to make a scene, so I ate it without complaint. My wife's BRANZINO $38 with Capers, black olive, chili, extra virgin olive oil was tolerable. Presentation was plain. No side came with it. Ordered FINGERLINGS $12 Smashed fingerling potatoes. Boiled plain but one of the best parts of the meal. The other couple ordered SPAGHETTI POMODORO $19 Tomato, basil, ricotta squanta, extra virgin olive oil. It was ok and the BURRATA E FUNGHI $28 Mozzarella, whole burrata, wild mushrooms, black pepper was ok. As said, the dessert preordered was poor. I did not look at Trip Advisor before I made a reservation ( #426 of 432 Italian in Toronto #5,357 of 5,517 Restaurants in Toronto) With such a low rating I am amazed that all three level of the restaurant were completely full. I will never step foot in that restaurant unless I lose a bet and am forced to do so. Overall experience 1 of 10 would be generous. PS: With most entrees no coming with any side, a charge for a basket of bread was $4! Outregeous!
Be the first to ReplyThank goodness the food is excellent, because service is awful.
Four of us had reservations made a week earlier for dinner the roof, but when we arrived we were relegated to a bench outside at one end of the ground floor. Very little space, hard seats, beside the staging area for the Uber Eats couriers. We asked to speak to the manager about this and were promised a visit, which never occurred. Server showed up after ten minutes or so and took drink orders, which arrived 20 minutes later. Dinner ordered, and all agreed was interesting and well-prepared. We had asked for a second round of wine with dinner, but were finished eating before one person's glass showed up, and was refused. Paid and left. I am sure this is a very trendy spot, with the delicatessen that is part of the building, but it will not see us there ever again..
Be the first to ReplyStock bar Patio
...went for the 1st time.... Was told that it was an Italian restaurant... Nice patio but crowded tables..you got to be very careful when moving around. Website not very helpful.Made a reservation with option to select a table and not possible. When got there was told that patio sitting may not be available, than was told for a high sitting area and at the end because we were with some seniors in our group we got a good table . The waiter was quick and efficient... Yes you are prepared for expensive prices...but a 🍅🍅🍅salad $20????? really??ok. But at least give us fresh 🍅🍅🍅... Ordered: 10??? Burned french fries.... Calamari fritti did do taste good and pizza Buffalo which was burned underneath.... I mean ..it is understandable that everyone is anxious to get out and enjoy themselves...after what we went through 2020/2021 but with these prices and not good food..... Disappointed ☹️☹️☹️ And do the ones owning this place ...do not call this place ITALIAN restaurant !
