Enjoyed a quality evening: nice atmosphere, good service.
Value is decent. Would return and recommend!

Always an exceptional meal and one of our top faves in Nantucket . I must say though that service can be spotty and definitely is on the slower side and we had to ask multiple times for a wine chiller. Also, the chef is adamant about keeping things the way they are so if you have any food intolerances know that no Accomodations or alterations will be made. I have a couple clients with gut issues and allergies that unfortunately can't dine here because they just are not accommodating and won't make any exceptions. They stick to the menu, so don't plan to ask for anything to be altered.

Great restaurant in Nantucket! Super close to the ferry but you don't feel like you are because the vibes are amazing! My group didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us in under 10 minutes outside. Super accommodating, we were a group of 7. They brought out amazing fresh bread and olive oil and the meals were great too! Definitely recommend the steak with summer corn salad, swordfish kebabs, and chicken pasta!
Be the first to ReplyConsistently the best restaurant on Nantucket.
Highly recommend the lobster bake, which is a twist on a traditional dish. Great wine list, great service. Double check your bill as addition errors have been known to happen on their hand done checks.

***HEADS UP***This restaurant has a 2 course prix fixed menu, and does little to nothing to accommodate children. All that I can say to anyone considering to visit this restaurant ***READ THE FINE PRINT***. Booking your reservation through their online reservation system requires a credit card. This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip that my family was taking to celebrate a 70th birthday. Being new to the island, with two kids we booked this reservation online before our arrival. The night before our reservation, we received a text mentioning the 2 course menu. I tried to call the restaurant immediately that morning to discuss our options/express my concerns. They do not open until 5:30 pm so my only option was to simply cancel my reservation that morning online. Never heard from the restaurant until 11 DAYS AFTER our trip hitting us with a $350 bill for the late cancellation via an email. When I explained our reasoning, I was emailed links with 'fine text' outlining their policy. Not willing to work with me, or meet halfway given our situation. To make matters worse, it was all via email before business hours so that I cannot call the restaurant to discuss directly to the person. Very disappointed that 11 days after our trip to Nantucket this was the sour taste that has been left in our mouths. What happened to the customer coming first? What happened to communicating with a customer directly rather than through a computer screen. Terribly disappointed. Beware before you book. Not to mention the 'tone' of their emails extremely rude and condescending.

We had a delicious meal- best scallops we have ever had- in an absolutely lovely setting. Can't wait to return.

Nice table. Wonderful service. Make sure you get your reservation ahead of time.
Be the first to ReplyProbably my fave meal in Nantucket! They have a 2 course
Probably my fave meal in Nantucket! They have a 2 course prix fixe menu for ~$80. To start, we got the salmon crudo and the clambake. The clambake is a must order, they give so much seafood (giant lobster claw!) and it's super fresh. The salmon was also ready good, great mix of flavors. The crusted fish was actually my favorite dish of the night, it was lightly crusted and perfectly cooked. I don't normally like beans but the whole combination was a delight for my taste buds. The seared scallops were also very good, perfectly seared and gigantic. Do not skip on the dessert either - their galette is amazing!
Be the first to ReplyWe had a beautiful meal here.
Presentation, flavor, service and ambiance were all excellent, and we appreciated the flexibility of their fixe prix menu where you could choose appetizer or meal portions for both starters and entrees (sometimes with supplemental pricing). We were also pleased with the gorgeous view from the back patio. We hadn't even requested outdoor seating and were delighted to see a rainbow appear during dessert. Although I have no negative comments at all, this is a case of expectation vs. reality. I expected to be over-the-moon with this special dinner, but will reluctantly admit that nothing especially stood out as very memorable. We enjoyed the food very much while we were there, but it just didn't make the lasting impression I need for 5 stars.
Be the first to ReplyI've been out to dinner several times since the pandemic
I've been out to dinner several times since the pandemic broke and its been hard to find a really great dining experience -- it just seems that so many restaurants are struggling to put together the whole experience...but they are still charging full prices, which is hard for me to balance. Straight Wharf (again) seems to do it all, and they make it look effortless. Good drinks, friendly service, exceptional meal with fresh ingredients. Everything perfect. The food was just incredible. It was nice to be reminded what a great night out is all about.
Be the first to ReplyOur visit started rough.
I had made a reservation via Open Table and requested a window table on the reservation. We arrived early to a basically empty restaurant, except for two tables, yet were going to be seated next to the bathroom. Why do some restaurants put you in a crappy table when better tables are available? We politely asked for the window table and they were enthusiastically nice about seating us there. Just not sure why we had to ask (we also asked if we could sit on the patio, as it was basically empty and were told no, that they had reservations already - but I doubt that was the case when table sat empty during our time dining). After cocktails (reasonably priced and delicious), we started with the two course fixed price menu. I started with beef tartare. It was very good. My wife started with the soup and it was delicious!!!For dinner, my wife had the spiced Halibut and I had the Salmon. Unfortunately, the Halibut was just too salty. The fish itself was very fresh and cooked perfectly tender. She enjoyed it when she cut off the spiced topping. My Salmon was probably the best tasting Salmon dish I had ever had - anywhere. When asked how our meal was my wife mentioned the fish was just too salty for her, but she worked around it. They could not have been nicer and more apologetic. They immediately took the fish off the bill. The manager also came by. I have not seen a restaurant handle and issue so well and put the customer first. They certainly earned our loyalty and we will be back next time in Nantucket.
Be the first to ReplyLovely spot right on the Wharf.
Great views. Food was excellent. Service was uninspired but basically attentive. Definitely will go again next trip here!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent.
ย 5 stars all the way for creative, delicious food and amazing service. Our server (wish I remembered her name) was an absolute charmer and offered spot on suggestions. ย My only regret is we didn't specify outdoor dining. We were seated in the dining room next to an open window with a harbor view. ย The covered porch space looked dreamy. This was our best meal on Nantucket and a highlight of the summer. ย Pricey but worth it! Highly recommended.

Straight Wharf is without a doubt the best restaurant on the island. Dining here is an experience and I love it every time. The galette is heavenly and I cannot recommend it enough.
Be the first to ReplyBest meal I have had in years.
ย Friendly, attenuative service, great atmosphere, fresh, excellent food. ย It came with a hefty price tag but worth every penny for a special night out.

I haven't been here for sometime and was very happy I chose this restaurant for tonight's dinner. Our server, Maggie, was very sweet, pleasant and helped us make some great dinner choices. The gazpacho was over the top. Full of watermelon, tomato, cucumber and feta cheese crumble. Wonderful summer flavors. ย The fish was very fresh and excellently prepared. Very nice crowd, nice ambiance and great food. This chef is truly a pro. I highly recommend this restaurant. A must: order the galette for dessert at the beginning of the meal as it has to bake to order.
Be the first to ReplyProbably one of the best meals we've had on the island.
Everything on the menu is thoughtfully put together. The atmosphere was amazing. Only con is that we were sweating and dying of heat inside. The doors to outside were open so we assumed no AC was on and it was definitely hot inside. We wished it wasn't so hot so we could fully enjoy our delicious food!!
Be the first to ReplyThis is by far the best meal we had on Nantucket.
I am astonished that this restaurant doesn't have a high rating. We have eaten in Michelin star restaurants across the world and this restaurant is honestly comparable in how great the food was. Everything we ate was absolutely perfect. They served freshly bakes sourdough that was incredible as well as blue fish pate for the table. My husband had the duck liver mousse and I had the SWR clambake as our appetizers. My husband had the SWR clambake as his entree and I had the ribeye. The clambake is one of the best things I have ever eaten. It was honestly so delicious and well-balances, everything prepared to perfection. The ribeye was beautiful marbled and just melted in the mouth- one of the best bites of steak I have ever had. We shared the signature galette for dessert and it was perfectly flaky with the fruit baked to perfection. I would not return to the island without a reservation here, absolutely incredible!

FABULOUS! I started with the burrata salad and then got the hand cute spaghetti for my entree. The burrata salad was INCREDIBLE and pasta was very good too, but the burrata was definitely the star of the show. We ended our meal with the galette and it was SO GOOD. Overall great place, highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyBest dinner ever! Fantastic food, better service.
My family and I will be coming back every time we come to Nantucket. Scallops were a fan fav!
Be the first to ReplyThe food was out of the world.
ย Loved every bite and the server was pleasant. ย The only reason giving this spot 4 instead of 5 stars is that the restaurant inside was a bit warm.
