Strong Water Anaheim Reviews from The Last Year
This is my favorite local tiki bar.
They were the OC's best kept secret for the longest time. I use to order their delicious cocktails to go during Covid. They truly capture the essence of escapism. Between the food and drink you really can't go wrong.
AMAZING.
Truly an experience!! Be sure to make a reservation as seating is a little limited. Good for smaller parties of 3-6 people. We went on a Tuesday evening and it wasn't too busy. Everything from the ambiance, service, and drinks were perfection. I tried a couple drinks, all were delicious, especially the Cobra's Fang! Note - the drinks do not come in the specialty mugs unless you are buying the mug. Food was OK, nothing stood out. I think the best item was the crab & cheese dip appetizer. We also got the butter shrimp, mushroom tofu, loco moco burger, and fried chicken sandwich.. Next time I would probably get dinner elsewhere and just come for the drinks. Still a 5 star experience since I came for the cocktails. I am definitely coming back next time I'm in Anaheim!
Saying this place is amazing is an understatement.
WOW, just wow! I loved it, the food, the drinks, and especially the ambience. Incredible! Please give this place a try...if you can get a reservation. We waited over a month! It was worth it, though. We had a great experience. The only downside is that parking is kinda difficult.
I can't wait to go back! We sat at the bar.
Jamie was our server/bartender and he made the experience even better with great conversation and recommendations. Food was delicious, definitely getting the shrimp again next visit. The atmosphere was so fun and all the decor really creates the vibe of a tropical ship. Make your reservation now. I know I am.

The best cocktails and drinks around! I love that the interior is intimate - it's not a huge place. Everyone is always so nice and there's not a single drink they haven't thought of! Great options for every drinker! The food is pretty decent too. The loco moco burger is my go-to (very shareable because it's huge). But my favorite is the coconut cheesecake. I'm not a coconut fan for most everything because of the fake, weird aftertaste that coconut flavoring usually leaves behind...but this cheesecake is amazing. I get it every single time.
Great hotel near Disneyland.
Pleasantly surprised. Will be back. Found to have great rooms, comfortable and modern inside rooms. Walking was safe and easy, even at night. Went to convention and then spent and at Disneyland. Would definitely recommend, even for kids.
This was my second time coming here but my first full
This was my second time coming here but my first full experience with an actual reservation this time. We were seated by the waterfall and it is probably the coolest seat in the house. Ambiance: From the moment you walk in, you feel like you've stepped into Pirates of the Caribbean ride, the entire decor, bird sounds, lighting etc feels immersive and very amusement parkish. Definitely next level experience. Drinks: The drink menu is extensive, with a wide variety of tropical cocktails to choose from. I opted for the Tales from the Black Lagoon cocktail with mug. The mug is fantastic and a good add to my collection of tiki mugs for sure. The actual drink was very tasty and had some interesting flavors that hit conservatively. Service: Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the drinks and food and checked all the boxes for an attentive waitress. I had no complaints about the service whatsoever. Food: While Strong Water is primarily known for its drinks, the food menu is also worth mentioning. The appetizers we ordered were very good, definitely try the wings with the habanero sauce, fire! The shrimp was also a popular item on the table. I had the fried chicken sandwich and fries and was very satisfied with my choice! Tips: I recommend parking in the parking garage right on Clementine st, the first two hours are validated with Strong Water. If you can, sit by the waterfall! Overall Rating: This place is a great experience for just about anyone, over 21+ of course. Its a must if you're into tiki bars, great cocktails, and/or unique dining experiences.
Decor & vibes are 10/10.
Staff was super nice. We got lucky & got seated right away on a Friday night. Definitely will be back!
The experience inside was really nice and the environment
The experience inside was really nice and the environment was amazing. Drinks were good and the bartenders were so friendly! Why I didn't rate a 5 was because the 12 hour window to cancel without being charged. A lot can happen and change in that and I actually had to reschedule (by 1 day) due to a work emergency that had me cancel 2 hours ahead. I called and asked to just reschedule but they said no, I had to cancel and pay the $40 fee (reservation was for 2) and then I could make a new appt for the following day. Thats ridiculous. I only stuck with going the next day because that was the plan with the other in my party.
Our group of three visited while visiting Disneyland.
We had reservations and waited about 10mins to be seated. Once inside you are submerged into a boat / tropical /pirate vibe setting. The service was amazing. We asked for recommendations from the host and server and they both suggested the burger so we ordered that. It was really good. I loved the sauce, they didn't ask me how I wanted it cooked but it came to the table med rare . We also got the ahi tuna and the pasta, all had good flavor and good portion sizes. The banana spring rolls we ordered were tasty but they didn't have much filling. There were so many drinks that it was hard to choose. Every drink we ordered was STRONG A+++. I hope to come back again soon. It's a great place for a group of friends. The attention to details was amazing and definitely noticed and appreciated.
While in Anaheim last night, I decided to duck into Strong
While in Anaheim last night, I decided to duck into Strong Water on my way home to the South Bay. This was my first visit after it'd been on my radar for maybe a year now and after a foiled attempt with my son after visiting the Original Tiki Marketplace in Garden Grove last month. We were closer to Stowaway then and love it but we wanted to trek up to Anaheim to hit Strong Water for LUNCH since we'd never been there before...and yes, I realize kids are only allowed outside and not inside the bar (boo) but we'd be able to just peak inside, right?? But! Strong Water isn't open for lunch either! (boo) I know, maybe I'm not the Yelp Geek I thought I was for not checking their HOURS before schlepping the 15 minutes out and then back to Stowaway. Those gripes aside, I had a really great experience last night. I think the same fella who is planted outside in many of the pictures on Yelp was there last night and he promptly located a spot for me at the lower bar near the entrance and politely escorted me inside. At first I thought it odd, especially on a relatively early Monday night, to go through the door man process but I get it; the place is pretty small. It was nice to actually get a seat instead of cramming the bar to attempt to order a drink. Since Strong Water is small with relatively narrow spaces, the door man makes complete sense. The staff is actually remarkable at Strong Water, perhaps some of the best I've ever had. Super duper friendly and helpful and not in that annoying kind of way. My receipt says my server was PM but I had two helping me with the menu and with my mug questions; so both the young woman and young man were exceptional. And in making the drinks, too. The young woman recommended I try the Zombie King for my first time and wow, it was truly perfect. Now, I really would have liked it in the Zombie King mug but hey, I get it...things can get kinda rowdy out here in the OC and mugs can get broken and hell, after like 3 sips, all my cares just kinda melted into my giant glass of everything beautiful. You know, it's kinda sad, I think, for me to say that I was truly having a blissful moment getting my buzz on with an absolutely perfect tiki drink. Just a beautiful thing, truly. And I'm sorry, other craft cocktails ain't got nuthin on the perfect tiki drink which this clearly was. And hey, I like craft cocktails but the tiki drink is an EXPERIENCE. Especially with the amazing ambiance all around me while I sat at the bar. Strong Water is a beautifully decorated place, clearly made with love and a treasure chest full of creativity and detail. And when the AI robots come to take over the world, I'ma lock myself up in that bathroom with like 12 locks on it. I was having so much fun all by my lonesome that I didn't want the experience to end AND I wanted a damn drink in a real tiki mug so I decided to buy the awesome "Tales from the Black Lagoon" mug so that I could just drink out of it. Kidding, I love the mug and have ever since I had heard of Strong Water and drooled over their website. And I loved the drink that came in it. Another perfect tiki drink full of yummy flavors. You'd think after two of these cocktails, I wouldn't have a care in the world about the prices but admittedly, my $123 tab (without tip) for two drinks with a mug to take home did sting a little bit. Without the mug, the drinks are about $20; with the mug, they are $95. I know what you're thinking...who in the f is crazy enough to buy a freakin' tiki mug for $75 BUT us tiki fanatics are insane and I'll tell you this...one of those suckers just sold online for like $9k (not a Strong Water mug but a tiki mug, no less). We tiki fanatics cherish these things and spend our lifetimes collecting all that is tiki, Hawaiian, Polynesian...and odd things like Fez's, shrunken heads, hanging lamps out of blowfish....I mean, we are CRAZY. So $75 for a mug from a tiki bar these days is just kinda standard. And yes, it kills me because when I started collecting in 2000, my SHAG mugs were $30 and have become super collector's items. I could probably sell some of them for $500+ today. Oh, but I won't because I just love, love, love my mugs and I'm now happy to have a Strong Water "Tales from the Black Lagoon" in my collection of what, like 100s of mugs. C-R-A-Z-Y. I did ask for some extra swizzle sticks with my mug and PM or the other server, well, whomever was the young woman, hooked me up. She gave me a Strong Water bag, a bunch of coasters, swizzles, stickers and umbrellas. Definitely a nice touch, for sure. I'm already thinking about my next trek to Anaheim so I can check in to bliss once again. Thanks, guys!
Entering Strong Water is like stepping into a tropical
Entering Strong Water is like stepping into a tropical oasis; transporting you to a paradise lost, this small bar tucked away in the heart of Anaheim is truly a captivating experience. What makes this place truly special, though, are the meticulously crafted cocktails that feel like a vacation in every sip. A massive shoutout to the dynamic duo, Alex and Adam, who elevate the experience every time. Whether we're celebrating our anniversary or just unwinding after a long week, Alex and Adam never disappoints with the good vibes and good times. They effortlessly blend great conversation with even greater drinks and that makes it all the while. Strong Water is more than just your average bar; it's where memories are made and good times are guaranteed.
My Disneyland go to
I would like to thank Oscar, Alberto, Brandon and the staff of Eden Roc for making my birthday extra special during my recent stay. I can’t say enough how wonderful everyone is! Eden Roc is my go when visiting Disneyland every time! Convenient, clean, and courteous!
Very affordable clean lodging near Disneyland
Just came back from two nights at the Eden Roc. Got upgraded to the family suite which was very spacious. Walk to Disneyland was very easy and getting through security on the downtown Disney side was a breeze. Even when walking back from Disney past midnight, the area felt safe. Would definitely go back again.
Never disappoints!
I have stayed here several times since they remodeled, many times in excess of five nights, and have always had a pleasant stay. The location is an easy walk to Disneyland and parking is never a problem. The staff has always been friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Basic hotel located conveniently close to the conventon center and Disney
I stayed three nights at the Eden Roc because I was attending an event at the Anaheim Convention Center. The hotel is an old motel that has been updated, but still maintains the motel structure (exterior entry, etc.). The room had a mini fridge and a microwave (we didn't use the microwave), which was great, as well as a TV. It also had a good safe. As for the room itself, it was basic but generally fine. The floor was not carpeted, instead covered in tiles that looked like fake wood. I don't mind not having carpeting, but I know some do. The room was mostly clean, and a lot of the furnishings seemed fairly new but definitely more basic than luxurious (bed, bed frame, shower, sink). Other pieces were not in as good shape. There were two places to sit in the room aside from the beds: an orange 70s style leather or vinyl desk chair and a puffy chair, both of which were very old, very beaten up, and, frankly, filthy. I wouldn't put my bag on either one let alone sit in them. There was a crack in the bathroom floor, and the curtains seemed old and not especially clean. The towels were also not great. We were given four white bath towels (no wash cloths, not hand towels), and they seemed old, threadbare, and low quality. The hotel is conveniently located if you are going to the convention center, a 5-minute walk away. (It's also very close to Disneyland, but we did not go there.) It should be noted, though, that there isn't much in the way of food within a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel does not have a restaurant or cafe (they sell a few drinks and snacks out of the office), and the idea of grabbing breakfast on the way out to wherever you are going is not really possible. You have to travel to food. The one exception is that there is a cafe and a couple of more formal restaurants at the Westin Hotel, which is on the way to the convention center. If you walk more than 10 minutes, then there are a ton of options, including Downtown Disney (the outdoor mall at the edge of Disneyland; you can go there without having a ticket for the park). A car would help (we didn't have one), although parking can be a problem. Noise was a problem. There was a person in the room next to me with a hacking cough all night. I felt bad for the person, but it did wake me up. It sounded like he was in the room with us. Also, one night there were people either on the walkway outside our door or in the parking lot talking loudly after midnight for about 20 minutes, and they were loud and clear in the room. The two people we encountered working the front desk were nice and helpful. The hotel offers housekeeping services every other day, and you have the option to waive housekeeping completely. However, unlike other hotels, if you choose to waive housekeeping, you are not given any discount or vouchers for doing so (I waived housekeeping anyway, so I can't comment on that service). I should note the Eden Roc is not inexpensive. We paid more than $300/night. It certainly does not feel like $300/night experience. It's not good value for money, with the exception of the location if you are going to the convention center everyday. In the end, the Eden Roc will serve some people's needs and not many others. If you are literally looking for a decent place to sleep that is close to the convention center, you could do worse, depending on the rate, of course. However, if you are coming to Anaheim for a vacation, you will likely be happier in a nicer hotel. So, it was not a bad experience, but it was not an affirmatively good one, either.
Best Option for a solo man
This was a much cheaper option for me to stay around for my Disneyland trip, the staff is friendly and so nice to me! Good room! Especially the coffee maker was an amazing addition to my room! I’ll admit the tv was pretty good! Thank you for the friendly service and keeping me safe
Great Hotel!
We’ve visited Anaheim at least 5 times this year but it was the first time staying at the Eden Roc. We loved the hotel! It was very clean and had lots of parking! We like that the flooring was not carpet. Rates were lower than other hotels around the area. Assistant Manager Oscar provided excellent service from check in to check out! Great location if you are visiting Disneyland.
2023 Disney Holiday
From booking to check out, 5 star service!! Clean, friendly, perfect location and courteous staff made our holiday stay one we will always remember. Spacious rooms make it a great place for families. Family suite made it possible for everyone to have their own bed. Thanks to all!!!!!!
Great location, not a great experience
There are a few good things about this place. Janet was probably the highlight of our trip. Her and a newer trainee were absolutely amazing and always pleasant. Janet even went above and beyond my first day there when we checked into the first room and didn’t really like the location (it was in the corner and super dark and gloomy). She gladly moved us to another room and even made sure we liked it first. Also this location is amazing. My husband had a conference to go to at the convention center and it was a quick walk for him and even though I have a lot of health issues where walking a ton can cause me pain, this place was close enough to be able to walk to downtown Disney and the parks. Took us about 20 mins and that’s with me being a slow walker. Very easy route through downtown Disney to get into either park. Now for the cons. Cleanliness. I mean, this room was not clean at all. The sheets had holes in them, the curtains had some stain on them, the shower curtain looked like someone wiped boogers on it, and yes, bugs. At first I didn’t see any bugs just felt them by waking up with a ton of bug bites, I made sure to get the sheets changed and then although I didn’t notice more bites, I did spot several bugs on the floor throughout our week stay. No cockroaches or anything too deterring but we were on the first floor and the doors did have small sections where bugs could make it in. Then, the graveyard employee was just always rude. Everytime we encountered him he seemed like he hated his job. If ur just in it for location and price, then this isn’t too bad, you can’t beat the combination of the location and the price but I personally wouldn’t stay here again.
Always my go to place to stay!
I can’t recommend Eden Roc enough! The staff are always so sweet! The rooms are always clean and it’s a super easy walk to Downtown Disney! I have stayed here at least 10 times over the last few years and highly recommended Eden Roc!

I have a notice stating that my bid has been accepted and is awaiting transfer. The reservation is for the 18th, but the “moderator” said he will confirm booking by the 28th. Is this an indicator that I may not have a reservation?

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
