Same as I remember it.
Haven't been here in decades. Glad it's the same. Good place to get run over in the parking lot or get into an argument with a drunk cowboy wannabe. It's not a good place to be.
Be the first to ReplyAvoid for shows. Moxie in Greeley is far better!
While the Sundance assuredly has a solid 'western vibe on it's exterior, it's a shame the interior is both filthy (seriously I've seen bad gas station restrooms that were cleaner), the service is abysmal, and their set-up for concerts is the worst I have ever seen--and I was around when the Aggie Theatre in Ft. Collin's literally had a chain link cage for a bar area. We paid for a table--it's nice to have a good place to sit during a show--but more than 3/4 of their tables were blocked from any view of the stage by the soundboard. Approached by a staff member (owner, maybe) as we sat on bench--looking rather peeved--we informed them of the table issue and received a shrug in response and place of blame on the band. I reached out about a refund--as in addition to paying for a table and getting a box with no view, the line-up had changed and we were never notified of this as well but received no response.

First off this is not a steakhouse. It’s more of a race book and some bar food, with karaoke and some concerts. Very limited menu and today they only had a couple of things on the menu at all. I got the burger and the loaded potato. Potato was average but the burger was pretty good. The only reason this is not average or below average is the server was fantastic. If you were lucky enough to get Sam as your server, she will treat you right.
I was there early before the karaoke crowd got going. She said it’s a lot more lately on the weekends.
Shoiuld have left instead of ordering
My husband's fish and chips were way beyond well done, burnt in fact. He didn't finish them. My southern Dip was tasteless and I could not stand the au jus. I like salt but not quite that much of it! It was not edible. The servers were too busy with a large table and it took a long time for anyone to notice us. I wish we'd gone to McDonald's.

We did not realize how many different things were under one roof. There is offsite betting (horse and dog races), a restaurant, a dance hall and "live" music provided by a man behind a karaoke machine (all of this in one big area). The dining area was beside the betting area and dance floor. So you heard people screaming and cussing about the racing, so not too enjoyable. Our waitress was nice but at one point she disappeared and it took us forever to get our check.

We had so much fun. It’s way more than just a restaurant. Our waitress Ayanna was very friendly and attentive. We went on a Thursday night and line dancing lessons started at 5:15. The music was not loud at all. We ordered an appetizer, the buffalo burger, and the lava cake (which was pretty dry). They have horse racing and dog racing on the TVs and a betting window- we lost $5 on a race! As we left we heard there was a pool table upstairs but we had to leave. It’s only about a 40 minute drive from Cheyenne to Fort Collins.Fun place!
Painfully LOUD music lately -- figure it out Sundance!!!
As a long time patron, I've been excited to see new bands booked at the Sundance under the new ownership. Last weekend, it was the JD Nash band, and they seemed like a tight band of great musicians. Unfortunately, it was SO loud, it literally hurt folks ears, and people left the bar. Saturday night, the dance floor was empty and everyone said it was because the night before the volume had been ridiculous. I tried to to talk with the manager, but he said they were expecting 500 people from the rodeo so they needed to crank the volume. The people never came. Guess they had had enough the night before. I like loud music, but this was way above 90 dBA's, which is well documented to be a public health concern. Sure hope the Sundance figures it out. It's our only choice for country in this town and it's historically been such a fun place.

Truly enjoyed the outing to Sundance Steakhouse & Saloon. The atmosphere was inviting, the staff was welcoming and courteous, the food was solid, and the beer was served with smile!
We had a very large party which included approx 10 teenagers and at least 10 adults. The teenagers learned to line dance and had a blast doing it. The service was amazing even with the challenge of a large party. When I hit the bar, the bartender was friendly and quick to serve.
All in all, this was one of the highlights of our trip to Fort Collins. If found in the area again, I would absolutely visit this establishment again... and perhaps even try some line dancing myself!
Good country dancing!
Food is hit or miss. Unless you get the prime rib. That is always good. The dancing is great. Saturday they have a cowboy dj that sings karioke. He's good. Then they have a live band. Also Friday night they have a live band. They also teach during the week. Check out their website.

This place is fun especially when they are running rodeo's. The rest of the year it is hit or miss. The food is just okay and they staff can either be great or a real disappointment. Not bad for a local place.

I was there with a large group of friends for a dinner event recently, and despite being a banquet-style meal the food was quite good. Staff were "country friendly" trying to deal with the large group. But the feeling of eating "in the barn" just didn't appeal to me enough to go back on my own.
