Worth a visit
Fabulous sushi - reasonable prices. Good service. Staff knows what they are doing and do it well. Enjoyed the meal.

The sushi is fresh and tastes great. Unbelievably good for a place this far from a beach! Have eaten here several times and always have had great sushi. Never had anything but good service, and sometimes it is excellent. I come for the sushi, though, not the ambiance or the service - and the sushi is top-knotch!

I really enjoyed eating here with my family. It was all you can eat sushi but don't expect a huge menu. I was really happy with the selection and service. The sushi roll that was the best was the AYCE shrimp tempura. I could easily eat 20 rolls of just that, delicious! I'll be going back.
Be the first to ReplyAll you can eat dream but you won’t wantbto eat a lot!
The thought of an all you can eat sushi bar is enticing, unfortunately to be successful with the concept you have to cut corners. The money saving tactics include no premium rolls and some thin slices of fish. The sushi’s flavor and texture were bland and dry. The thing that bothered me the most was the wasabi, I am used to the heat rising up through my nasal passages with a sushi rush, the wasabi I was given was green but other than that held no similarity to other restaurants zing.
The premium roll my guest ordered was excellent! It was a crispy roll and was top notch compared to my all you can eat.
They brought back the sheet for a second round of all you can eat, but it didn’t really interest me. For $21.00 I think I you would be better off just to order some of their premium rolls for your sushi fix.
Good sushi and cool boat
It is definitely not the most attractive place to eat and not in the best area but the presentation of the all you can eat sushi is really nice and the food was great. Definitely will be back

food and servings including some basic sushi, were slightly above average. ambient is cozy but small place " almost forced to look fancy" soup was on the cold side and the explanation we were given was that, it was a cold day, so the soup inside was a bit cold as well!!! try to figure that out! we wpuld go again just to try fancier sushis!

I am sure many people would be leery about good sushi in New Mexico. Well Sushi Gen is authentic with a wide range of sushi. California rolls, tiger and spider and many others. There are even special types for what locals may like. The prices are decent and the atmosphere is ambient. Give Sushi Gen a try and you will return!
Be the first to ReplyUnremarkable, sauce too sweet
One of the few all you can eat sushi in Albuquerque. Location, somewhat centrally located but hard to find being on the side of perpendicularly situated somswhat univiting poorly-lighted strip mall. Interior somewhat outdated, but clean. Sushi formed efficiently with acceptable rice cooked to correct doneness. Most popular sushi items in American market is represented. Average quality. Uses medium long grain rice. Presentation acceptable, typical of most sushi places. The sauce used on sushi is way too sweet, cloyingly so, resulting in inability to discern other delicate flavors. Totally off balance. Fried items taste a bit burned, not that the fried item is burned but more likely that the frying oil may be used longer than their acceptable freshness
Service friendly, &acceptable.
Overall, an OK experience. Will not return.
Good Sushi
Coming from Los Angeles, I have been spoiled with good Sushi. Sushi Gen comes the closest to what I expect in good Sushi. It may not be the greatest but it satisfies my cravings.

Nice young men servers. Quick. Rainbow roll very good. Vegetable tempura strangely had only two veggies: white potato and onion. I've eaten a fair amount of tempura and was expecting the colorful varity offered, e.g., seet potato, carrot, squash, mushroom, etc. Women's bathroom a little scarey, with one toilet out in the middle of the room, no stall plus one in a stall, with peeling wallpaper everywhere. Needs serious attention. Not sure if we'll go back.

This little restaurant is not so easy to find. It is in a strip shopping center on San Mateo NE, with a big sign on the street,' ALL YOU CAN EAST SUSHI $20.'
I love this little place.
The sushi is fresh and delcious. The salmon sushi I had last Friday night was silky and scrumptious. We have been going there for the last 2 years or so, and we are loyal customers.
The owner is Chinese. The name I know him by, rhymes, he says with Shoe. I think it's written Xu but I call him Shoe. His two high school sons work their sometimes. Everyone is extremely nice and helpful.
I would recommend it for anyone who loves sushi. And the price really can't be beat.
