It was kind of late in the evening and we were heading from the airport to our hotel and decided to stop at Joe's for a snack. I'm so glad we did!The staff were very knowledgeable, which was nice in this era of cheap sushi restaurants where the waiter gets confused if you say "hamachi."The place was almost empty so the cook spent a few minutes explained to us a few things about the menu, including that they brew their own soy sauce, which I found very interesting and I'm pretty sure I've never been to a sushi bar that does that. No corners are cut in the food prep and the fish is the best quality.If you like sushi, this is definitely a place to try. Not the classiest location but the food is excellent and the cook obviously takes a lot of pride - and he should!

I cannot say enough about this place, I come every week to enjoy their sushi. They always have a new weekly special which I usually will try and they have a happy hour menu that is off the chain great. Besides all that the menu offers so many different incredible things I cannot say enough about this place so please go and enjoy.

I ordered a platter of sushi and not only was it not on a big platter, each order was individually done. They recommended the "Joe's Special" and I added that to the order. In all my years of getting Sushi and my kids absolutely love it as well, this by far was the smelliest, stinkiest sushi I have ever smelled. The roll was warm to the touch and not sure my order wasn't refrigerated until I arrived. I called and let the restaurant know and told them I didn't want to pay for 2 orders I had to throw away. I never received a phone call back nor received a credit. At this point keep the money and I will just tell my peeps that loves sushi to just stay away from this place. I will also inform the Yelp community that is a fairly tight knit group. I have never smelled something so putrid from a sushi restaurant. Apologies aren't necessary as it is past the point of no return. Just wanted to let the Yelp faithful know. #peace-out.

Behind Chef Jake and our server Kalei my family was not only greeted with a genuine smile but also to my surprise I noticed new signage that caught my eye as well. We noticed an awesome "SPECIALS" board and a sweet deal on a 3pm-6pm HAPPY HOUR menu. The vibe was on point as was the food. My family is vegan so when we go out to a restaurant we're always concerned about the menu and whether or not we'll have choices or if we'll have to modify them. Thankfully Sushi Joe's offers a lot of both. To our surprise on this 3rd visit Chef Jake insisted on creating us some custom made rolls which allowed him to really showcase his talent and passion. You'll see in my pictures. Even my picky 11 year old was impressed with the food and eventually ordered more before getting down on some desert. Kalei was always available to us when we needed her despite a packed house of friends, families and even the cutest baby that seemed to really enjoy the chill music playing over the speakers. We hope you all make your way to this local favorite and enjoy your favorite fresh seafood OR vegan options.

BAD! BAD!We came here because of the "5 stars reviews" but it was a BIG mistake. The staffs have no idea what a Japanese restaurant is about and how to sushi, the fish should be made, even the sake should be served. The sashimis were awful. If you had been to a good sushi restaurant, you'll never taste the fishy taste from the fish which means it's fresh. Here is awful, smelly.

Very relaxed chill vibe with exquisite sushi! Small and simple menu where everything is paid attention to. Come here almost every other week for a sushi treat! Joe please open up this exact spot in summerlin!

I don't even like sushi but was dragged here by my friends while visiting from Australia. The food was amazing. The Miso soup was really tasty, usually it feels like a bowl of hot salty water but not this one. I also had pork belly which pretty much melted in my mouth and the tempura battered vegetable had a batter that was incredibly light and tasty. My 3 other friends were also as excited with their meals. Both the Chef and staff are what you would expect to find in a posh restaurant. The locals have no idea what they are missing. Definately will be detouring to this place next time we are in the US.

The specials were all amazing and fresh. They get most of their fish from Japan and you can tell in the quality of the nigiri and rolls we got. Nemo, our server, was awesome and you could tell he really enjoys the food and gave us some great highlights about the dishes. The chef/owner Joe was super cool and you could definitely see how passionate he is about his restaurant. His face just lights up when he talks about the food and when he sees people enjoying the food. And don't get me started on the brisket gyoza. They were so incredible! The meme I imagine would be of an anime character biting into one and then doing a happy dance followed by crying tears of joy. The skin was handmade, delicate and generously filled with tasty beef brisket. I can't wait to go back and try everything else. This place has already made our top Japanese restaurants in Vegas.

I don't live in Vegas but decided to try this, my Vegas friends were skeptical but I wanted to check out this place. So glad I found it !!The service was spectacular! For good quality sushi the price was pretty good. I tried so many things, here are my thoughts, the tuna crudo was the best dish there, I'm usually not a big fan of tuna but it was amazing with a house made ponzu.The salmon crudo was fine but nothing to special,however the salmon belly sushi they had today was so good! The vegetable tempura wasn't my favorite because the veggies used were not very traditional. There was asparagus , onion, mushroom, pepper, and sweet potato. The yellowtail was delicious but had quite a fishy aftertaste. All the sauces are homemade and were so good ! The spicy tuna crispy rice " roll" was okay, the spicy tuna was fine but the sauces were delicious. I also tried the tiger roll, it was pretty good but as I said the spicy tuna was just ok, however the shrimp tempura roll was great! Such a basic roll so I wasn't expecting anything special but it was very tasty! I got it with no seaweed with soypaper instead. I was a bit disappointed With the lack of crab on the menu and that they didn't have amberjack or albacore. Other then that pretty solid.

I've been looking for a good sushi place in Vegas since I moved here last year and this is def it! I ordered the crispy tuna rolls, eel sushi, rock shrimp tempura and brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious. Sometimes when you order delivery the food is nasty once it gets to you but all of the food was outstanding, even after a 15 min drive. 10/10 very yummy

The sushi was top notch- very flavorful, and all the sauces are made in-house. Overall a hidden Diamond in Las Vegas. What's especially crazy about this place is that it wasn't crowded at all! When we saw the 5 stars at 200 reviews I was honestly expecting a scam... but it's legit!Our waiter was attentive, with plenty of recommendations. IF they have it on the specials board, the Hamachi Belly was their best in both our opinions. Shockingly, the prices were very fair as well. My wife and I ate until we were stuffed and it was $85 (pre-tip). 10/10 would recommend, and will definitely be going back.

When it comes to the amount of time that it takes every single day to make sure your quality is at the level that this small owned humble sushi restaurant, it's almost beautiful to think about the daily routines and disciplines and how it takes chefs decades before they can even consider themselves a true sushi chef. This place is as traditional as you can get from the daily handfolded gyozas with 8 hour braised brisket to the crudos straight from the chef at the bar, this place is like no other. You must try this modern Japanese restaurant before any other sushi restaurant in town.

First time back since the pandemic started, about 2 years, and I am glad to be able to say the exceptional quality of every dish here has remained true to my original post and memory of this gem of a restaurant. This time around I came with my wife and her friend, both being sushi lovers I was careful to not oversell the place because it had been a while since I last came. However, no worries necessary as the whole dining experience was positively placed into each of our memories. Moreover, Nemo is still here, uplifting the dining experience with wonderful service and conversation! Thank you also to Chef Jake for keeping the tradition of outstanding sushi and dishes going! Can't wait until I can come back again!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
