Sushi Park West Hollywood Reviews from The Last Year
Amazing.
Love this place. Best service and some of the best omakase I have ever had. I've lived in La my whole life and this is some amazing La sushi!
It's always nice to come back to Cali.
There are so many good Japanese restaurants here:) Love our experience @ Sushi Park. Ingredients are very fresh too. Would come back!
went to sushi park for the first time.
Food was unbelievably delicious and fresh. They ask you if you have any dietary restrictions and then they bring out plates of food with three bites on each plate until you say you are finished. I think the minimum is about seven plates. be prepared to spend $200 a person but it's well worth it if you're looking for delicious fresh sushi. You may not be able to go anywhere else afterwards. Service was very efficient as well. It's a tiny place so you must make reservations. also, we were sitting two tables away from Kendall Jenner, which probably tells you the sushi must be incredible if she chose to go there since she could probably go anywhere she wanted
Best Sushi you can find without having to go to Japan.
The quality is insane, absolutely melt in your mouth delicious we ordered so many of the good ones we couldn't resist. So, how it works is you are given a prefixed set menu at a set price. They start you light and move you into sweet heavy bodied sushi's. If you want more of something you have to pay for extra. The ambience is like diner-esq. so not pretty inside, kind of ehh ambience to be honest. But youre going for the food really. I do recommend they educate all staff on what the fish is and how to be servers. The assistant server couldnt answer any of questions even basic ones. That was annoying. But food is 5/5. Ticked one star off for service. But nonetheless will be back for the food!
I really don't understand about a restaurant that thinks it
I really don't understand about a restaurant that thinks it can get away with running a business and serving the crap they served because they had some celebrities show up. The product served was equivalent to "all you can eat sushi. The sushi we had was tasteless and bland without the elegance of subtle flavors. Some of what we were served had a briny taste and lacked buttery texture. I looked around the bar and a few people I recognized who looked more at being noticed then raving about what they were eating. SHAMEFUL TO GET AWAY AT SERVING BAD FOOD and charging obscene prices. FIRST EVER REVIEW SO YOU KNOW ITS REAL: the food was decent.
i used to come here multiple times a week in its heyday. i've revisited and it's been lovely. post pandemic... new chefs.. the original chef is INCREDIBLE and i missed him so much. two protégés working beside him. ours, unfortunately became friends w the couple next to us and kept bragging about how much he hated sushi.. mind you.: for two people plus a nice bottle of sake we spend 800... and to be listening to a guy bragging all night about how much he dislikes eating sushi... sushi is a tradition it's something that people take pride in.. and we were stuck w a chef who gave no fucks and didn't care about bragging about it and it SHOWED. unremarkable. no heart in it. will never come back which is sad because i used to be a huge customer. times change i guess. we forget what the art of omakase is and we hire people who are there for? i can't understand the reasons.. really heart breaking. my favorite place. no longer worth your time. what an offensive omakase dinner i don't know how to process so i guess it'll be with this review. really hope they get rid of people who don't value the art form.TACKYYYY AF NOT A HIGH CALIBER EXPERIENCE basically yelling over his clients to talk shit on his chosen carreer (which is an art) what a sad sad reality for a formerly top tier restaurant.
Best sushi I've had outside Japan, hands down.
And I've been to Japan well more than 50 times. They explain each dish very thoroughly.
This place is really good.
We are from out of town and a friend recommended this place for sushi. We are coming back in Oct and plan to eat there again.
Okay! What a hype this place was.
It's mediocre sushi I don't know why and who rates this place so high but it's really not. Yes it's expensive, but honestly I don't mind paying if I'm going to get amazing high-quality food. And this was far from that. I felt like this is a place that people who don't even understand quality fish go to and just give it a high rating because of a few celebrities who have been spotted there. my rating is not based on the price but it's based on the price with the quality and it is very mediocre. For those of you who enjoy this .... God bless your souls and for anybody else that really wants to go out and have an amazing evening and spend money that they normally don't spend.... It's a hard pass! Go to sushi gen in little Tokyo downtown, or Matsuhisa, or Asanebo if you want variety of sushi and some kitchen items .
Hands down the best sushi I've had in Los Angeles.
No pomp - no circumstance, no fancy decor but authentic sushi unlike any other spot I've seen in LA. I love that the sign on the door says "if you order a California roll, you will be asked to leave" lol. All flavor and lots of attitude. Ask for the Omakaze - sit down, shut up and be amazed.
AUTHENTIC SUSHI
We go to this spot every L.A. trip. Amazing Sushi omekase experience. Small and non descpt location on SUnset Blvd

Hey @IlluminatingLip, Yes your card gets charged when you place to bid to secure that the funds are actually there, as many bids are for a future date the amount gets placed in your 'deposit account' (Portfolio->Accounts) but if a bid can't be filled or is cancelled by you while no one is working on it (the AT lingo for a bid that you place for a reservation that you would like to get but no one answers) the amount is moved from the deposit account into your main account so you can instantly use it again, which is cool in the way that you can place 10 bids and instantly reuse the balance amount for other bids once a position can not be filled, without having a bunch of authorizations on your credit card. There is another thread in this forum that answer this question with more detail but here is the blurb: [...] your funds are deposited in your AppointmentTrader Main Account in real time so you can use them for another bid instantly and don't have to carry multiple authorizations on your credit card for a number of days. You can access the funds with the credit card number that is shown next to your main account (labeled 'Show Card Number'). [...] btw. that card number is just a regular visa card number and can be used anywhere where credit cards are accepted.
