Again awesome ๐จ
I was also positively surprised during today's visit: excellence in the quality of the food, excellence in handling: in short, the best sushi/sashimi outside of Japan! Needless to say, you have to make a reservation in good time ๐๐
Be the first to ReplyAn unconventional Michelin star to say the least for a memorable experience
Witness to the revival of the little red book, you will certainly not go to dine there for the setting but for the delicious cuisine and the impeccable quality of service. Not that this setting is unpleasant: most of the customers (12), with the exception of 4 of them placed on a separate table, take their places on standing tables facing the counter where the dishes are prepared Minute. It's just extraordinarily common. The plate? An appetizer, three starters, 6 or 7 sushis (bluefin tuna, sea bream, scallops, skate wing, salmon...) followed one another before punctuating the meal with Miso broth (the only one ever drunk with pleasure !). We didn't have room for the extra bite...Very nice wine list. We opted for a white Burgundy (by the glass) and a sake (a discovery!). We left delighted. A truly memorable experience. Remember to book 2 months in advance...

A real taste experience with friendly staff and excellent service. It takes sushi to other levels and gives us a taste for new flavors
Be the first to ReplyDo you see the star falling? Don't go here!
Hello, me and my wife visited Sushi Sho based on the Michelin star the restaurant has been awarded. Then expectations were lowered quite sharply based on previous guests' posts. Still wanted to visit with an open mind, but despite this, the visit was under all criticism. We could write as much as we want, but the strongest thing is that we both feel cheated of the money (3,600 SEK for two people) without anything tasting good! We left feeling taken advantage of and hungry. That this restaurant continues to be fully booked and also gets to keep its star is completely unimaginable to us! There are so many other restaurants without a star that are a thousand times better than this and for a fraction of the money. We are happy to pay for good food and the experience that comes with it but not a single penny should be spent here! Even if we were invited we would not go back! Our only advice to you is not to visit this restaurant!

Everything is right here. Very cozy sitting at the bar. Small place, surprisingly run by non-Japanese, but by guys who love sushi and don't exude the deadly seriousness that such places are sometimes associated with. I haven't had better sushi, not even in Tokyo, but yes, they have a star. Well deserved. And so cozy and casual, informal. And then everything melts in your tongue. Yum.

No. Here the expectations were high but were dashed quite quickly. During the journey, you are offered to pay extra to get another dish - feels petty. The service was not top notch either. Feels a bit like they gave up.

Great service and fantastic food. Would highly recommend visiting. Nice to go there solo because you are seated together and can strike up a conversation with locals :)
Be the first to ReplyDon't bother!
We, like so many came to the restaurant with so much anticipation. Since it is the MUST visit restaurant in Stockholm, we had high hope. Frankly how disappointed it was. A QUASI Japanese at best. Perhaps it was great in its glorious days like 5 years ago but at present it is falling short in all front eg. the fish, the sushi rice and the most important of all the balance in its food. I do not claim to be a foodie but I have traveled to Japan many time, and had eaten Japanese all over the world, so let's say I know the different between premium products and the claim- to- be. What we had were salmon and local fish. Should the fish had been fresh or with balance in taste then it would have been fine. But the fact that I needed to ask for more salt and wasabi, it was disappointing. It was not what I expected in a restaurant that is charging me 1195 kr each. The fish tasted as if it spent too long in the freezer, and the sushi rice had too much vinegar. They were trying to upsell me on the Tuna which is a rip- off as for the price I was charged it should have been included to begin with. Anyway should the whole experience been good, we would have been more than happy with whatever they were trying to upsell us but since it was abysmal, it is best to spend the rest of the night elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyA scam. Quite literally
8 minutes ago NEW As a half japanese, this is a disgrace to our food culture. Everything from the rice to the fish, is a joke quite frankly. Westerners may appreciate this. For people understanding japanese food, avoid at all costs

Top quality of the dishes, excellent drinks to pair with, the very sushi bar ambience and great service ๐คฉ make sure to book your seat in advanceโฆ.!
Be the first to ReplyNot better than many others but more much more expensive
Good as in much cheaper Japanese places in Stockholm. Very small and insanely crowded restaurant. I would not go back..
Be the first to ReplyWhat a memorable meal!
Totally awesome experience. Omakase at its best, very small place, fits 12-14 ppl most. Multi course omakase otsunami. Friendly knowledgeable chefs, variety of drinks options, including good sake. The price is quite reasonable, at least in USD, $100 or so, before extras and drinks, for such memorable Michelin star rated experience. I wish we would have more places like this in Chicago. Sea bass, halibut, different types of premium tuna, including bluefin, and octopus were particularly good.

Be the first to ReplyExcellent Omakase in Stockholm
We were fortunate enough to obtain a booking for two during our tenth anniversary trip to Norway and Sweden. This meal was one of the high points of our ten day vacation. The sushi counter seats about 12 people. The meal consisted of an omakase tasting of small dishes and nigiri sushi. The meal costs about $100/person, but we felt that this price was actually quite good value considering the quality of the food and experience. The service was excellent as were the range of sake options along with the meal. Overall, great food, great service, great experience. Donโt miss Sushi Sho if you are going to Stockholm!
Be the first to ReplyEpic sushi experience
While I eat sushi from time to time, I am not the greatest fan of it in general, but even I was blown away by the taste experiences when visiting Sushi Sho. From the inclusive feeling of sitting at the bar, watching as they prepare the food, to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the fantastic taste combinations, it was a very pleasant visit. It is a little on the expensive side, but this cannot be compared to your everyday lunch-sushi, this is on a totally different level.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious
Delicious obviously, high level of skill involved here. Recommended place to eat when in Stockholm. Good for specials occasions as well I reckon. Coming back.
Be the first to ReplyI believe they have a Michelin Star
Here Le Chef chooses what to serve and he or they can do that. The food and atmosphere are exceptional.
Be the first to ReplyLike a 2* Sushi bar in Tokyo
My husband and I dined at Sushi Sho on the Sunday before Christmas for the last night of our weeklong stay at the Ritz-Carlton Residences. Wow, was it worth the wait.
Having dined at several Tokyo sushi bars in 2018, including 3* Yoshitake and 2* Sawada, not to mention dining last at Los Angelesโs 2* Ginza Onodera in Dec. 2019 and several times since at 1* Hanare Sushi in Costa Mesa, CA, near us, we know well a top quality sushi experience when we see one. This was worthy of 2* for sure.
The only miss for then dinner was their forgetting to give us our 4th sake for the agreed on $60 sake offering. Otherwise, it was pretty much a flawless experience.
We donโt love Honolulu, but we loved Sushi Sho. Kudos.
Over hyped/pretentious /gross
Waited two months for this booking. We absolutely love sushi, so we were really looking forward to it. They had two simple ingredients to get right, and they didn't. The rice tasted like it had been cooked in beef stock... Too much at that. The fish was probably very good quality, but every bite was over taken but the extreme over salted rice. The chef could hear us unhappy, and didn't seem to care enough to even try the rice himself. No one even bothered to ask us how the food was until the very end, when we paid. He just said " oh!" and charged us 300$, even though the food was so terrible that we cut the tasting off. I've honestly NEVER had to cut a tasting menu off, nor have my complaints gone completely ignored. The corner sushi store has better quality sushi because you can actually taste the fish. Don't waste your time of money on this pretentious, stick up, waste of time and money. Worst experience I've had in a verrrrry long time, I would rate McDonald's higher.
Be the first to Replygreat taste
