Poor, rushed service, where no one asked us how our food was. Demands were made on how we order, and in what sequence we would get our food, bread. Extra charge for 16 dollar overly greasy bread, with lard, and scallop butter. Small portions, of lukewarm food, that we ate because we were hungry. Duck was overcooked. Rice with the fish was undercooked and the skin of the fish should have been crispy, best dishes were dessert, and the portions were super small. We walked out feeling dismissed and very disappointed. ,

I wanted to love this place so much, and most things were good, but as a whole it sort of missed. I would offer this review as constructive criticism, I want this place to thrive! We did the $98 tasting menu. We were seated at the bar yet they didn't make it clear that you could do ala carte at the bar, so we thought the tasting menu was the only option. One of the courses was duck, and it was so tough and hard to eat. Another course was a ground lamb lettuce wrap dish, it was pretty bland and flavorless. Also, I told them that I do not eat pork, and I'm pretty sure they served me an appetizer that contained pork. It was a little toast with scallop butter, and came to find out later that there was lard in the scallop butter. I want to love this place, but I just didn't!

Wow! The Michelin star restaurant tucked away in Adams Morgan absolutely lives up to the hype!My friends and I came here for our monthly fancy dinner, and we were NOT disappointed. Our server Amina was extremely friendly and had great recommendations. The entire staff was great and had wonderful camaraderie too, which is always nice to see. You'd expect Michelin star food to be outrageous, and many of these dishes certainly were. The chicken liver tart blew me away. Growing up in a big Jewish family, I was never far from a bowl of gloopy chopped liver. Tail Up Goat elevates it to an outrageous extreme. I would have paid $99 for that alone--INSTANTLY added to my favorite dishes in DC list. Everything that followed rocked at different levels. The scallops, porgy, and roast pork dishes probably stood out the most. A couple dishes like the fried mushroom and the carrot raviolo didn't quite reach those heights, but they were tasty nonetheless.We ended with some stellar desserts. The butterscotch budino was perfection. I would have eaten it with a shovel. The ambiance is quite nice here and more down to earth than many comparable restaurants, which is nice! The owners do an incredible job of setting up a restaurant where everyone feels at home. Wow. FIVE STARS!

Overheard other tables saying the same. At $180 a person (with drinks) this is kind of unacceptable. A bit too cafeteria-y feeling for the price - it's noisy, and you're sitting on hard chairs.Service is fine, but nothing more than you'd expect for the type of restaurant.I eat out a lot around DC, but definitely won't be back unless they make changes.

DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT. Their 7th bday anniversary menu was chefs kiss. Immediately when I walked in, I felt comforted by the warm ambiance. I also appreciate a dimly lit restaurant with candles on the table because it automatically feels more intimate. I've walked by this place many times but it always flew under the radar - there's no super discerning sign outside and it seemed almost like a secret space.Everyone was bustling around but you never felt overwhelmed. Our server was wonderful and gave great wine and cocktail recommendations. My favorite dishes was the rabbit sausage (served with the snacks): smoky, fatty, perfect bite, and the lamb ribs. I could've eaten like twelve of this ribs. My takeaway: definitely worth the money (it's more on the cheaper side for a lot of Michelin restaurants though!).

I honestly don't see what puts this place on the list. Yes most of the food was good, but I really don't think it's star-worthy. Best thing on the menu when I went was the Raviolo with truffle. Very good. But everything else was kind of....meh. I think a restaurant like the Capital Grille has better food and doesn't even have a star. Also, 22% gratuity automatically added to the outrageous bill is kind of insane. The bill for 3 people ended up being $532 (plus 3 glasses of wine). I would not go there again as there are much better places in DC for food at half the price and twice the class.

Tail Up Goat has been on my must try restaurant for a while But I must say the overall food experience was underwhelming given that we had to fork out 300 dollars for 2 ( 98 per person, 2 drinks and 22 percent gratuity)I went there with my wife for our anniversary. Service overall was fantastic. Thanks to the staff, they provided a handwritten card with a beautiful note. The servers were attentive and super nice as well.The food on the other hand, not that great! The snacks were really disappointing. The beets salad was average. The seared scallops were good. The duck was rubbery and did not really taste that great. The black bass and the pork loin was good, hence the 2 star rating, otherwise I would have given a star. Desserts were pretty good! All in all, I personally do not get the hype! The food was bang on average. Overall was very disappointing! Great ambiance and service though!HONESTLY NOT WORTH THE HYPE aside from the good service

This was our second visit and it continues to impress. This 1 Michelin starred restaurant managed impressive food and impeccable service without being too fussy or trying too hard. The staff is attentive without being all over you, and the beverage/Som staff has great recommendations (even recommended a local bar for us to get drinks at after we finished). Food is as impressive as you'd expect, with lots of unique flair and perfect preparation. Would highly recommend and will be back!

Our party agreed that the meal we had at Tail Up Goat was one of the best we’ve ever had. The care taken with the ingredients, the very knowledgeable and delightfully unpretentious yet professional service (brava to Katie), and the personal attention to our table and menu beginning at the reservation and not ending until well after we left the restaurant shows not only the whole team’s commitment to excellence, but also the team’s absolute love of good food! And… who better to dine with than others who adore eating well! I’d say that Tail Up Goat’s food, wine pairing, and service rival some of the best fresh ingredient forward restaurants I’ve ever eaten at, including Chez Panisse and Greens.

Had the pleasure of going here after classes since me and a buddy said "Michelin star? Michelin star.". This place is great! We got the duck, tuna, pâté, and a honey something dessert I can't recall the name of. The drink is a rosemary something that tasted AMAZING. I seriously could've drank it all night.The food was great, our waitress was amazing in explaining everything. Each dish comes on their own with two clean plates and clean silverware. Then you ball out, rinse, and repeat. Highly recommend going here. There's parking on the main AdMo strip that's lowkey hidden but a short walk away.

I don't usually take time to write a review but we had such a fabulous dinner experience here that I needed to. The cocktails and all our dishes including dessert were special. Simply delicious. But it was the rock star staff that really made our night. On top of being extremely professional they were all very nice. We never felt rushed and they made the dinner feel very special. We were surprised to learn our waiter was relatively new to the restaurant because he did an outstanding job. Highly recommend!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
