I saw this place while waiting for my husband to buy his Pho. I immediately searched for their menu and I said to myself I should try this place. True enough, a few days after, I went with my daughter. Prior to coming, we made a reservation just to make sure we get a seat. I wasn't disappointed and found the food really good! We ordered a lot but I think I still need to come back to try the other dishes. We had to take home some just because we were too full! My favorite was the Una Don and the Maui roll! To my surprise, my daughter loved the Una Don too!

Chef Takashi, whom has been serving-up great sushi in Vegas
Chef Takashi, whom has been serving-up great sushi in Vegas for years, has opened-up a small izakaya in the Southwest part of town in area of the city that surprisingly is lacking in authentic Japanese-owned establishments, particularly in regards to sushi. This restaurant is a blessing in a sea of AYCE sushi joints. Fresh fish, great presentations, and a menu that isn't overwhelmingly large. Takumi will be a go-to place for my wife and I. Now we don't have to go all the way to Spring Mountain every time we crave good sushi.

Nothing beats this hidden GEM! This is now our 5th time in two weeks! Every single time we go the QUALITY is Superb! You can tell Chef Takashi has a true passion and puts that into all his dishes! Please be patient as he is the one personally preparing your sushi! I love the experience and everything we ordered so far as been amazing! All the nigiri, sashimi, and rolls are soooo FRESH!! I'd recommend to go early as they fill up quick! I've tried lunch and dinner and his izakaya plates are just as amazing!Oysters are a must! Yellowtail Carpaccio, hand rolls, steak roll, big mama roll, salmon poke, uni, etc! Try everything honestly! Thanks Chef & to our waiter Matt!

What a Gem! FRESH! This place is the real deal.
Sushi, Sashimi, Rolls, and Izakaya all superb! Authentic!! Less is more, I say that in a good way. Meaning like less sauces and more fish. You can really taste the quality of the fish! Yellowtail nigiri was amazing, you get generous pieces of fish! Big mama, steak roll, crispy rice special (different than normal, rice is torched), spicy yellowtail hand roll, spicy tuna hand roll (chunks of tuna not grounded tuna), and the yellowtail cheek is amazing! We have had yellowtail collar before but never Cheek and with the savory flavor we will definitely order again! The head chef prepares every roll and all orders himself. Which ensured the quality of each amazing roll! The head chef worked on the strip for over 30 years and decided to open his own restaurant. Definitely the type of people I love to support.I'm just worried about the lines this place is going to have when more people discover it. I will need to eat often until that happens.

Finally!!! A real Japanese restaurant ran by Japanese.
Truly a wonderful experience with authentic flavors that are served fresh and hot!!! Love this place!

Went to Vegas on Wednesday and went here for sushi.
The staff and food were excellent. The owner takes great pride on his business. Highly recommending this place. Enjoy the great sushi. Yummy !!

From the service to the food, everything was great.
The theme/aesthetic of the establishment is super cute and clean. If you haven't tried this place yet, make time to. And if you have already tried it, try it again. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and promptly sat. Chef Takashi and his staff were all personable and fast with their services. The portions, prices, and flavor of all the food were totally worth it! I would suggest sitting at the sushi bar if you get the chance to, and actually watch how Chef makes the different dishes. Each dish had a distinct flavor and you can tell it is all fresh. They have noodles, izakaya, salads, cold dishes, sashimi, nigiri, sashimi and sushi specials, signature rolls, rolls, rice/bowls, and dessert. Most of the specials are written on the board, and they even have housemade green tea ice cream! As for the drinks, they even have soft drinks, iced tea, bottled waters, ramune, cream sodas, hot or cold sake, wines, and beer! They even have a Happy Hour!(My favorites included the Oysters, Salmon Roll, Salmon, Yellowtail, and Tamago!)

Love this new spot! Finally a worthy place for Japanese
Love this new spot! Finally a worthy place for Japanese food, sashimi and sushi on this side of town. Especially because the chef is the real deal. You will see him behind the bar, Takashi himself! So far we've been here twice, and always have left completely satisfied. Fish is fresh, service is great, and the food is AMAZING! Fresh Oysters, like good size oysters were delicious. Adegashi tofu has a different texture then most, soft and flavorful. I love it. We decided to go with a sushi and sashimi special. All the array of different fish, served to you. It's literally sushi heaven. Tamago is in-house made. Delicious. And so is the matcha ice cream to end your meal. If you ever the miso soup. It has fish and it's just the perfect touch to the meal as well. Amazing job as always Takashi san. Definitely recommend and we will be back!
.. soups and little Mimi sandwiches are bomb. Really good sushi salad...salmon super fresh

Small 20 seat restaurant in a stripmall that packs some
Small 20 seat restaurant in a stripmall that packs some amazing comfort food. The prices are moderate and there is a small variety of drinks on display. This review is pertaining to the lunch special. I got the ginger pork lunch special and it came with the following:Miso soup: this was very flavorful and was packed with tofu, seaweed and cooked salmon.Rice and Vegetables: More specifically, a cabbage salad with dressing and a salad of greens with dressingGinger Pork: Extremely light and easy to eat the light caramel sauce complemented the rice really well.Looks like I have a new japanese comfort spot near my house!
