I just have to say such a good breakfast!! We had family in town and went out for breakfast. The food was so good, with many pick eaters everyone liked what the got!! A miracle!!

Excellent food! Bread is awesome! As is the banana chocolate cream tart! The salmon tartine was fabulous as was the avocado toast!!
Tartine makes some of the greatest baked goods.
It is all from scratch and freshly made. Even though it might be a little pricey it is ALL worth it. Because they even treat you well and make sure what you want. I'd definitely go back to Tartine Bakery.
Tartine is simply the best.
We order our cakes here for birthdays, buy bread weekly, treat our guests to pastries when they're in town. After a decade of going to tartine almost every week, here are our go-tos: 1) country bread 2) morning bun 3) jalapeรฑo croissant 4) savory scone 5) tres letches or chocolate soufflรฉ cakes
Popular if not slightly overwhelming bakery cafe for brunch
Popular if not slightly overwhelming bakery cafe for brunch in DuPont Circle, Wash DC so expect a wait in line on weekends, where the menu options are expanded compared to the weekdays. Nonetheless, it was indeed worth the wait for lamb Shakshuka, quiche Lorraine and tasty apricot cake. The mocha used high quality chocolate which was noticeable and appreciated. Overall it wax all decent food for the price point and worth the wait in line and to dine in when a table opened. The poor staff were so busy but still reasonably kind and helpful despite the brunch crush with extras like to go boxes and water refills...Thank you!
i went here And let me Explain.
Why did i pay 21 dollars for matcha and a croissant. I am Actually a millionaire but this Realy pained to purchaas because literally what the heck. Like ceriouzly
Gorgeous
Gorgeous bakery - we had delicious toasted sandwiches, so big could have shared, wish we had had room for the gorgeous pastries and cakes.
Food is actually incredible.
The simplest things are quite delightful. Only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the staff obviously is there to get a paycheck. No smiles. Just business.

Well priced coffee, upbeat yet calm atmosphere, and wonderful pasteurized and fresh bread. My cappuccino was poured perfectly with a wonderful Rosetta. Very nice people running the place and I was promptly served despite it being a busy Wednesday morning.

We were told we HAD to stop by for some treats at some point. So of course we did. The line was almost out the door but it moves quick. Don't let it scare you! Seems like it's always like that. We got the lemon tart and the coconut cream tart and some baked goods. The coconut cream tart was amazing!! So delicious and the crust was wow! The baked goods...there was one with cardamom something. Get it!!!! It was fantastic. We picked these up to go and went to Dolores Park (a block over) and found a spot to sit and enjoyed our treats. It was a vibe!

Service is great and I love buying bread whether it's the olive or oatmeal - if I take it to a gathering, it's always a hit.

Adding another review as the pies were so good! I highly recommend trying the banana cream pie. It was very good and was a great size for sharing. We also got the coconut cream pie, but I prefer the banana cream!!
Great spot, great food and pastries.
Arrived on a Friday afternoon, right at 12pm. The wait in line was under 15 minutes to order at the counter. The menu is definitely enticing with a range of soups, salads and sandwiches and plenty of beverages. Banana Tart is highly recommended!

Went here around 3pm but I believe they were sold out on most things. I was able to try their regular croissant, chocolate croissant, and tres leches cake. The texture of their croissants is amazing. Super flakey and soft. I preferred the chocolate over the regular as iI found the regular to be lacking in butter. The tres leches was pretty good flavor wise, but it wasn't as moist as I would have liked. I'll definitely have to come back to try their other items!
Busy bakery/cafe near Golden Gate Park
Busy place close to Golden Gate Park with limited menu of classic choices. Waited a bit too long in line (around 2:30) only to learn they were out of my top selections. I ordered the quiche, which came with a salad that felt more like a garnish. The quiche was excellent, with an airy consistency that almost melted in my mouth. The dressing on the crisp lettuce was tangy and just enough. We also enjoyed a banana-walnut muffin which was moist with the right amount of crumble and very tasty. I would come back but probably earlier in the day before they sell out of favorite menu items. The line may be even longer, though, so leave plenty of time.
This spot is a mile away from my house, I've had it
This spot is a mile away from my house, I've had it bookmarked for forever, but I just now came around to it. PRO TIP: The line is totally worth it. I got the must have Banana Cream Tarte, Almond Frangipane, and a Tres Leches cake. The Banana cream was my favorite! So light, creamy, and fluffy. The different textures from the crust was ahhhhmazing. The tres leches cake had a little flakiness to the bottom of the cake and the cake itself was moist and not too sweet. Perfection if you ask me. I totally want to come back and try their menu. Their pastries and baked goods are delicious I can only imagine their food is just as good.
We only came here because we just watched a "Feeding Phil"
We only came here because we just watched a "Feeding Phil" Episode. I think it's overrated, I ordered the ham sandwich in a croissant, it was OK. I have had way better.
The line can get pretty long during prime lunch times.
The service was quick no frills. Morning buns: flakier and more citrussy! It never fails to disappoint with the sweet crystals and flaky pastry combination. Sandwiches were pretty good. I would love to try more of the pastries next time. Much smaller location than the one in Los Angeles. Parking is difficult.
l just paid $7.
33 for a baguette REALLY ??? I paid half the price for the same baguette (actually it was 1/3 larger) from JANE THE BAKER .
I have eaten at Le Taillevant.
3 Michelin Stars on Rue de Friedlander in Paris. Tartine is at that level. The details of the experience sit as a dream. I had the Babka and the Hash. My wife had the croissant with Ham, Cheese, and roasted Jalapeรฑo. And the bread, butter, and the Strawberry jam with a little spice. Accompanied by creamy lattes and great service? It's a wonderful experience from start to finish. I was even warned the ordering was an ordeal. Untrue. Smooth, charming, and charismatic systems, processes, and people helped us. There was even a vintage Izod sweater on display to remind us that we were somewhere we would remember. No doubt about that.
It's disappointing when a hyped up place doesn't live up to
It's disappointing when a hyped up place doesn't live up to its expectations, but luckily that isn't the case with Tartine. You won't regret waiting in line to try the baked goodies here. I came around 8:30 on a Saturday morning and only had to wait about 10 min. It's a small bakery with just a few tables so most people take their orders to-go. If you come here, you have to try their bread whether it be as a sandwich or a loaf off the shelf. Their Country Loaf ($14.25) is the one of the best sourdoughs I've had. It has a nice crunchy crust and is perfectly soft and airy inside. I also liked their Pain Au Jambon ($6.95) aka ham and cheese croissant. It was light, flaky and cheesy. A more filling option is a slice of Ham and Potato Quiche ($9.50). The filling was fluffy and flavorful. For something sweet, go for the Morning Bun ($5.95). It's cinnamon sugary and has a hint of orange zest that gives it a unique flavor. If you really have a sweet tooth, the Banana Cream Tart ($10.95) is a must. The caramel in it makes it extra good. There are three locations in the city but this is the original one. It's definitely worth a visit when you want to splurge on some treats.
Unacceptable service
The food may be wonderful, but the service is simply unacceptable. I have been there three times, and service was mediocre. Today it was below any expectations, I will never come back. I will miss the lemon cake.
Excellent bakery
We went for breakfast. I had the plain croissant. My husband had the ham and cheese croissant; he said it was the best he ever had. I am sorry we couldnโt work this bakery into our stay at least two more times. I could eat my way through all the baked goods very easily. There is inside seating and several tables outside as well.
Average
My husband and I visited September 2023 during a trip to San Francisco. The staff was super friendly! We were not very impressed with the sandwiches. We got the Turkey and pastrami sandwiches and they were both pretty greasy. We didnโt get to try the pastries so I canโt comment on how other items taste. We were expecting a bit more since the reviews were so high.
Soul is gone. Donโt visit
The soul of this place is gone . It is just a coffee shop. They donโt make fresh bread on premise anymore , the menu is a third of what it used to be The long lines at 4pm everyday is gone Place is probably sold to a new owner in Covid and does not have the same charisma of old business With the parking being a major nightmare in this so so neighborhood- drop it For some of us who have been here before you can cherish and live on old memories
Excellent bakery
Excellence in bakery! Had the toasted sourdough and butter, chocolate croissant and almond croissant. All were excellent!
Great bakery in LA
We went in the afternoon, excellent products and we didn't find a queue. Little seating and the unavailability of some things that cannot be missing (e.g. fruit juice), do not allow me to give 5 stars!
Just okay
The bakery goods were not warm. (You may have to request this) We ordered the chocolate croissant, it was dried out, and tasted like it may have been baked the day before. The salmon and lox was OK, but was missing some flavor. The gluten-free oatmeal muffin was amazing. We also ordered the omelette and Arugula salad, which had a bunch of flavors, and I would definitely order that again. :)
Hype is real
We sorta went full-boar on this as my brother-in-law is a major fan. Ended up getting like 5 pastries (croissant, chocolate croissant, morning bun, a savory pastry, and like a jam pastry) all were amazing. The morning bun and croissant were my fav. They were all out of their classic sourdough so we got their โporridgeโ which is a whole wheat or multi-grain sourdough - it wasโฆ.mind blowing. We saved it to munch on later in our trip and it was delightful. The bread itself was so moist, it was on the verge of being wet it was so wet (but, in a good way!) You could tell the starter must have been incredible and the outside crust was cooked to perfection. Do yourself a favor, get a loaf and go get some high-quality salty butter and go to town!

Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been โmatchedโ with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
