I was blown away. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with an awesome atmosphere and exquisite interiors that set the perfect tone for the evening. The attention to detail in the decor and ambiance was truly impressive.

Finding a piece of home in New York was quite a blessing. The menu, be it the large share, the small share or the desert will leave you spoilt for choice. The prices are well worth it.

So much attitude, food is very complex, heavy on sauces
Server was off the second we sat down. She came over but left without taking the drink order, after a few times of back and forth, the drinks came after one appetizer and a random entree arrived together. The food came so quick in random order that we didn’t have room on the table. We asked to slow down and got an eye roll. We wanted to move to the half empty bar after dinner and were told there’s a waitlist. Then we were asked to take our drinks and drink at the lobby, that is the David Geffen Hall. Food is good and you can tell chef has a story for each dish, however they’re so heavily sauced (and come with more sauce on the side) that you can’t identify the actual ingredient. Chicken shawarma is the only pure and good dish and we tried pretty much everything (and we’re sent out to the lobby in under 90 minutes, record!) No need to worry server, we won’t be back. May be you can stop by for a quick dinner before theater but please don’t pay for a reservation for this place.
The vibes are off here from the servers and hosts who think they are doing you a favor by allowing you to spend hundreds of dollars eating fried okra. We left before the first course.

I was super excited to try Tatiana, and it did not disappoint. My first time here was with two friends and my mom, and I knew I had to show my boyfriend. I came back with him on Tuesday, and we immediately made a reservation the next day for one month from now. We are devastated we have to wait a whole month to come back, so we might try to walk in for bar seating sometime sooner.Dishes (in order of my favorite to least favorite) 1. Goat Patties: MUST TRY. My mom's favorite. My two friends' favorite. My favorite. I would eat 6 of these myself.2. Chopped Cheese: Worth trying if you like patty melts. This was my boyfriend's favorite dish. 3. Black bean hummus: everyone is skeptical when I say this dish slaps because they're thinking "how can hummus be that good?" It is. There's some chili oil for spice and the ground lamb bits are so good. 4. Oxtail: very tender and the coconut rice that it is served with is so good too.5. Wagyu pastrami: very rich. It was a good dish but I was so full at this point.6. Hamachi: a very light dish but nothing particularly special7. Egusi dumplings: thought this was just ok.

OMG after finally getting a reservation I must say it was worth the hassle . Me and two of my friends decided. To eat here one night while he was in the city from DC . The atmosphere , food and service was the bomb . We tried a the coco bread , Honeynut Piri Piri salad, Egusi dumplings, Truffle chop cheese , the braised oxtail and the snapper. I enjoyed every single item we ordered my favorite was the oxtails and the truffle chop cheese . If you can get a reservation you will not be disappointed.

I cannot say enough about the quality and excellent experience my wife and I had at this restaurant in NYC. The food was simply superb and the drinks were amazing. I mean... amazing! I highly recommend this spot though it is expensive. That being said, one item I thought was great was that their dishes can be shared between individuals so that despite the expense, it was not over what we may have otherwise spent at other fancy places we have gone to in recent times, where the PPP was through the roof! All I can say is that fine dining is not without a cost and the reality is that great food is worth every dollar when you walk out with a smile from side to side.Likewise, the ambiance and friendliness of the staff are also details that have to be brought into view because it wasn't that the food was, Aline, great, but the experience was wonderful.Try that pastrami ditch... OMG! What a delight. If you get a chance, check'm out!
Came to celebrate my birthday and was really excited to be able to secure a reservation the day before. I wanted to add an additional family member to my reservation so I called and left a message (they were closed on Monday). I made sure to call as early as I could day-of, to request the addition, and did not have high expectations, but figured it was worth a shot. The host who answered was very nice, and assured me that she could add a third to the party, but would need push the reservation time to 15 minutes later. I told her that was absolutely fine and thanked her. I got an email notification from resy that the time was changed, but didn't actually read the email because I trusted that all would be as discussed. I also noted that it was a birthday - not only in the voicemail, but on resy.Fast forward to arriving at the restaurant: two members of our three-person party arrived ~15 minutes early, and checked in, but were told the party needed to be complete to be seated. The hosts surprisingly had no knowledge of the change from two to three people... when I heard this and checked the email, sure enough, it still said two people. This was disappointing because it seemed to impact where we were able to sit in the restaurant. I was a few minutes late. I don't think more than 6 or 7 minutes - if that much - and we ended up seated in the less-appealing area of the restaurant - not the main dining area. I asked the host who sat us if there was a possibility we could be seated elsewhere, even if there was a wait, and the manager (not sure if this was the host manager or manager of the restaurant) stated that everyone had just been seated, but didn't really seem apologetic about it. Throughout the couple of hours we spent there, I also saw a six-top that had the luxury of being seated as an incomplete party (only half had been at the table within the first hour were were there), so I found that interesting.There is no uniformity in the restaurant in terms of dress. While it's fantastic that there's no dress code for patrons - the staff dress code is disjointed. All of the servers and runners had a clear dress code. Dark slacks/shirts. I think some may have even had half-aprons. Of what felt like the five or six hosts milling about at the stand: there were two in dark slacks and blazers, some with sneakers and dresses, one with an oversized sweatshirt on....the person who was introduced as the manager was dressed just as casually with a crop top and short skirt. It was giving confusion... why have a clear dress code for some staff but not others?Out server was okay in the beginning. We couldn't hear her, and she couldn't hear us due to the volume of the music (which was very good, by the way!) but we eventually got our orders in. No ask about us celebrating or anything. The main food arrived hot and I can't complain about the taste at all, but it was pricey for the portions. We didn't see our server again or have her ask if all was okay until we were just about scraping the last bits off of our plates. No desire to make the dining experience special. Dessert was the least exciting taste-wise and although I shouldn't have been - based on the service prior to dessert - I was surprised that there wasn't even a candle in the cosmic brownie or the extra order (tiny - half scoop?) of ice cream.Maybe it was an off night all-around. The food was solid, albeit pricey, but after that experience I wouldn't give high marks for service outside of the incredibly prompt and polite food runners. I'm really disappointed that the experience wasn't a special one for my birthday.

After visiting Kwame's restaurant Kith & Kin in DC back in 2018, I was excited to check out his latest Lincoln Center endeavor. The menu was different of course but the vibes were still the same. A fusion of Afro-Carribbean in his own modern take that draws flavors from New York City and the culture here. Egusi dumplings and black bean hummus tells this story perfectly. Blending flavors and spinning classics into new favorites the menu features a selection of large plates and small. We focused on trying things we've never had before and started with the scallops pinchos that had a jerk bbq sauce on top. Smokey and a bit sweet, the scallops were cooked perfectly. We also ordered the black bean hummus, truffle chopped cheese, and crispy okra along with the dumplings and hummus. All of which I recommend. The berber spiced lamb on the hummus was so delicious, especially when dipped with the crisp flat bread it comes with. The okra is dry-fried, not 100% sure what that means but it translates to very light and crispy. Not slimy at all and covered in a spice rub. I know these were all the small plates but as a party of two, I wish there was just a tad bit more. Groups of 3+ should definitely order a large plate in addition to a few small. This is the kind of place where the flavor and ingredients are the star of the show. Not a huge portions fill up kind of place, quality over quantity and giving you flavors to savor kind of place. Make a reservation and try the cosmic brownie dessert.

A+ service from the moment we came to the moment we left. The menu is divided into main plates and small plates to share. We had:- Braised oxtail (a must try)- Curried goat patties (I liked the crispy shell more than the filling but overall it was yummy) - Egusi dumplings (favorite small plate) - Crispy okra (not a fan of okra usually but this was really flavorful, and had a spicy kick) We thoroughly enjoyed the house-made chili oil and it paired well with almost all the dishes. The restaurant is located near the Lincoln center which makes it a convenient place to eat before/after shows if you have a reservation. Great service, food and experience. Highly recommend.

The Afro-Caribbean restaurant located in the heart of Lincoln center had my palette experiencing fireworks all night long. From the minute you walk in to the time that you leave the music was a vibe from reggae to hip hop. the dim lighting sets the mood. The story behind the restaurant being named after the chefs sister is a story in itself. I was beyond excited to finally be able to reservations to try out this place. I waited 28 days and it was worth the countdown. Every appetizer, entree, and dessert was beautifully plated & was filled with so many unique flavors! I will definitely be returning because there are many dishes on that menu I need to try, the scallop pinchos being one of them !! My mom loves oxtail and goat, we were not diss appointed at all. I'm a sucker for a good dessert the rainbow cookie pannacotta was absolutely delicious top 5 favorite desserts. Now let me tell you the little Debbie cosmic brownie "bodega special" took me back to my childhood. It reminded me so much of when i use to eat them. The powdered donut that's served along side, replicates the taste as if you're physically biting into a donut. Chef Kwame understood and killed the assignment.
Very cozy atmosphere with a with a splash of sophistication. Dimly lit to stimulate conversation and string drinks to help move things along. The food was excellent despite the portions being a bit small for the price tag! The Wagyu Short Rib was was a stand out .. it will leave you wanting more! Reservations are hard to get here so plan ahead!

10/10! Everything about this restaurant is fabulous from the food to the service, to the ambiance and even the bathroom is a vibe! We started with Hamachi Escovitch, Curried Goat Patties, Egusi Dumplings and the Honeynut Puri Piri Salad. I could go on and on about how good every dish was because it really was that good. The salad is so fresh and light so it was a nice mix with some of the other heavier dishes we ate. And I LOVED the goat patties. I could have eaten several orders of them. I love sauces and all the sauces with the dishes are wonderful additions to the food. For our main dishes, we shared the Take-Out Mushrooms and the Short Rib Pastrami Suya. The pastrami is so, so, so good! It's perfectly cooked and seasoned and the warm caraway coco bread it comes with is so soft and fluffy. All of it is just yum! The mushrooms and scallion pancake were also very good, but I definitely would have ordered another meat dish had I not been with someone who jumped to order the mushrooms before I could get another order in (lol). We finished with the Rainbow Cookie Panna Cotta and the Harlem Choclate Factory White Chocolate Cheesecake. Both desserts are good, but the cheesecake is a standout. That is very good! To accompany my food, I had the watermelon margarita which was perfect for me, not too strong but didn't take like I was drinking juice. The restaurant has a very chill and hip vibe with the best Hip Hop/R&B music playing. The staff are very attentive and all so pleasant. We were quickly greeted and escorted to our table (sans any pretentious nagging about being slightly late). Before we even sat down two team members complimented our outfits which, I know, has nothing to do with the meal but really put us in a fantastic mood.As for the food! I mean, like be for real! I was FANTASIZING about the okra for DAYS! OKRA!!! We shared the curry goat patties, scallops, crab eguisi, crispy okra and, of course, the pastrami short rib. The flavors were so well balanced and everything was perfectly prepared, so I won't go into detail, I'll just make a few highlights.1. I'm Caribbean so goat is like a food group, I never realized until reading these reviews and eating with my homegirl (who had NEVER had it) that it really is uncommon for Americans. With that said, this is a PERFECT intro item the curry is perfectly flavorful and the goat is prepped well so the meat is tender. Highly recommend!2. Did I mention the okra? I didn't even know you could cook okra that way. It was giving crispy Brussels sprouts sexy older sister. MUST TRY!3. Sonnets have been written about the Pastrami short rib, everything they say is true. But for those with dogs at home, and to give a sense of the portion, my aggressive chewing English Bulldog is still happily working away at the bone 10 days later! After our meal Chef Kamat (Chef Kwame was traveling that day) graciously stopped by our table so we could sing her praise. Hands down, this is the absolute best dining experience I've ever had. Ever.Let's start with wait time for the table. My friends and I arrived right before our reservation. The moment we gave the hostess our name she introduced us to our table. The total interaction took less than 30 seconds. How efficient!Our waitress, Shay, was so beautifully pleasant! She's down to earth to make sure we enjoyed every part of our experience. She recommended the best dishes and not a single part of the meal disappointed us.The appetizers, truffle chop cheese, hamachi escovitch, and curry goat empanadas were love at first bite. I fell in love with each bite and even deeper in love the closer to the end I got. The paired pepper sauce to the Pattie's were 10/10. We were even happier to find out that it's Chef Kwame's grandfathers recipe. Definitely tasted like home. The main entrees, Short Rib Suya, oxtails and Sofrito Suya had us eating in silence. It was hands down the best meal to date.To place the icing on the cake, the man himself Chef Kwame Onwuachi made him way around the dining area to greet each and every client. Now I've been to thousands of restaurants and I've never been greeted by the Chef/Owner before. Not only did he come by to say hi once, but 3 times total. Our party chit chatted with him, asked him a few questions and thanked him numerous times for his culinary vision.From the cuisine, to the vibe, to the outstanding customer service. Tatiana embodies what it means to embrace your culture, and putting your own twist to it. (Call daily for cancellations).The staff is super polite attentive pleasant informative and accommodating. The cocktails and each dish was just amazingly eruptive in flavoring......the overall simplicity and nods of the Caribbean Indian and African spicing/herbs just pure magic......each bite enhancing the next with sauces that exploded to the next level. The food here is literally heaven on earth. I don't even know where to start. Every aspect of this establishment from the food to the staff , to the drinks , to the ambiance is complete excellence. I guess I'll have to talk about the food first. I have never experienced the vision of a chef, so perfectly executed. First dish, I experienced was the Piri piri salad, I was mid conversation, when I tasted the first bite. I was shocked by the burst of refreshing flavors. This salad set the tone for the night. Right then and there I knew this establishment IS special. Then I went on an adventure of flavors, I had the scallops , the curry goat pattie and dumplings. Every dish was hitting. The consistency of the flavors, was incredibly impressive. Then the chopped cheese came out ..... I took a bite , and , I'm pretty sure , a tear ran down my face. This chopped cheese was not only out of this world good but it was telling a life story on a plate. This dish is everything. The explosion of flavors brought out so many emotions. I could talk about this chopped cheese all day, it is the definition of deliciousness. It might be the perfect dish. It is a gift for our tastebuds , that I'm truly grateful for. I also had the sofrito chicken. This chicken was cooked perfectly down to the second. Succulent is an understatement. This chicken is juicy AF. The drinks compliment the food perfectly. You can not go wrong with the nutcracker, it's a must have .The strawberry margarita is great as well. Omg , I forgot about the okra. We had the pleasure of meeting Chrissy , the hospitality director. Chrissy recommended the okra, and again , we were blown away. It was so good. We also had the humbling pleasure of meeting chef Kwame and his sister Tatiana. Such a honor to meet both of you. Your family is the definition of black excellence in every sense of the word , thank you for your kindness and your vision. Truly an honor. Our desserts were incredible. Overall, I'm blown away. I'm a Kwame fan and have been wanting to come here since spotting it on my walk home. I haven't been able to get a reservation but my friend and I heading over to see if we can grab a seat at the bar. Turned out, they had a lot of cancellations that day due to the snow and we could sit at the table as long as we could finish in 90 minutes which was plenty of time. We ordered drinks along with the curried goat patties, egusi dumplings, and braised oxtail. The patties were flakey and came with tasty sauces. This was my favorite dish. Then 15ish minutes later we got the egusi dumplings which were okay and I found them to be a little salty, then another 20 minutes later, the oxtails arrived covered. The server lifted the lid to a big pot to reveal oxtails on one side of the pot. The oxtails were very tender and flavorful. They had a nice sweet and salty flavor with sticky consistency. Rice and peas were served in a small bowl. I would have liked a little more to eat with the oxtail. Overall a good meal with fantastic service. There were long waits between dishes which I noticed was common at all the surrounding tables. Music was too loud for my liking but glad I finally got to come.

I'm a huge Top Chef fan and when my friend scored a reservation to Kwame's restaurant it was an immediate yes from me. I can't begin to tell you how incredible the food is. It's the best of NYC staples with a modern spin that keeps getting better with every bite. You must get the chopped cheese (even consider x2 it was so good), fried okra (if you're into spicy this is for you!) and the wagyu (how he makes this taste like butter I do not know), cosmic brownie (ask for an extra scoop of the powdered donut ice cream, trust me) and then that rainbow cookie panna cotta (it tasted identical to my all time favorite cookie)! The only thing that I would change is the volume of the music. Great jams but it's so loud/clubby that you can't really converse without yelling. I'll be back 10x over...if I can get another resy!

The food was phenomenal! I strongly suggest you plan ahead and get a reservation, but if you don't... get there early to snag 1 off the 6 bar seats. Doors open at 5 and we were able to be the first seated at the bar by getting there and in line by 4:30pm. The staff was great, especially the bartenders. The environment feels very open, not too crowded and the bar seats were comfortable. We ordered a lot! My favorites were from the small plate menu: the scallops... perfectly cooked and seasoned, I just wish it was a larger portion. The okra was also a fav. I'm a big okra fan, but I was eating with some people who do not like okra at all, and they even enjoyed it. The okra seems dehydrated, and then fried without breading so it's much different from traditional okra dishes. We also got the goat patties, the breading was so good and I liked the sauces with them. As for large plates: we got the oxtail and the pastrami rib. Both were good and I'm usually always team oxtail, but I have to say the pastrami was so so so good. We cut it with a spoon so that tells you just how tender it was. And they give you pickled onions and bread on the side so you can make a little sandwich. Again so so so good. The bread tasted like 5 pounds of butter was mixed in it and if that's true, it's totally worth the cholesterol. I wish the pickled onions had a little bit more flavor but overall everything was so great!

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
