Great local spot for boba.
Their classic milk bubble is just perfect. The prices are reasonable and I love that you have a comprehensive set of add-ons and can easily adjust for sweetness levels. Great spot in the neighborhood as the other options aren't as good.

They have an extensive menu that boasts a wide variety of smoothies, bubble teas, freshly squeezed juices and some food items. The space inside is small with one bench and one iPad to order drinks and food. Definitely more of a grab and go spot.

Small shop, not much space to sit around, just 1 bench to grab your drinks and go. Great drinks and service even when the shop was full. Very kind staff.

Tbaar is one of the better value bubble tea spots in Park Slope. Their prices are good given the quality and quantity. Plenty of boba.Clean professional presentation. And I really like the option to adjust the sugar level. I wish they offered the online option to choose skim/no fat milk for delivery/pickup. Overall, very good experience.

I brought my daughter with me to get boba tea at this store for the first time. When I asked the barista what was in the coconut smoothie he had a bad attitude with me. I was very insulted. When I was getting my daughter boba tea I asked if tapioca was the black boba he gave me a look and said "yeah". I don't recommend this place.
Be the first to ReplyAffordable bubble tea with an assortment of classic drinks.
I ordered the large Taro slushee with herbal jelly for ~$7. Service is quick. Wish they had more paper menus. The digital displays are way too high and the font too small to read. Had to use the kiosk to see menu. Cheers

Love this place for a quick boba! It's my go to when I want to take a walk after working from home all day. I really appreciate how their prices aren't too insane. You can get a medium boba milk tea for just $5. Somehow that's impossible to find in NYC these days! The boba is solid, but not mind blowing. It does the job when you have a craving. The pearls are soft and chewy, with a hint of brown sugar. The milk tea isn't too milky and has a noticeable tea flavor, which I appreciate I've also tried their Thai milk tea through Kyuramen next door and it's great as well. They have a loyalty card where you get a free boba after 10 bobas. I've always forgotten my card/forget to get it stamped though. However, it's nice that they offer this.
Be the first to ReplyTried their popcorn chicken and classic lemonade.
The lemonade was 5/5! Got it with 75% sugar and 25% ice and it was perfect! The lemonade was zesty and very refreshing! The popcorn chicken on the other hand, was not as good. The flavor was on point and the chicken was crispy but they were pretty dry. Highly recommend the lemonade but the chicken, not so much.

Solid boba place in the area, really small inside and there's a wait. Got the brown sugar boba.

They have a partnership with Kyuramen next door, so i had already experienced their Thai iced tea when i added it to a ramen order some months ago. This time i opted to place my order for pickup via Grubhub. i had my 3-year-old with me, so i ordered a strawberry lemonade, a coconut smoothie, and a Thai iced tea. i like that i was able to specify the amount of sugar for the beverages as i try to make sure my lil ones aren't in the habit of having sugary drinks. Each beverage was delightful. Not too sweet, flavorful, and the order was completed in a reasonable amount of time. As far as their customer service goes, i do wish that they greeted customers upon entry. They have a tablet set up whereby you can place your order instead of a cashier, but i had already placed my order online, so i kind of awkwardly stood around and then voiced that i thought i saw my order on the counter. The barista bagged it up expeditiously, but just having someone say, "Welcome - if you'd like to order, please use this kiosk or let me know if you're picking up." would add a bit more warmth and efficiency to the experience. Overall, a good spot for teas, juices, and smoothies.

I don't understand why this place has so many stars, that wasn't my experience ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the tapioca were cold, small and undercooked; the "hot tea" was tepid at best (probably iced by the bubbles); and the staff claimed they were "not allowed" to add milk to an oolong tea order because it wasn't an option in the ordering kiosk - even though it's just bulk creamer that they spoon into the cup if you order an "official" milk tea, not like they have to count packets for inventory. Maybe the food is good - they were sold out by 2pm on a Friday - but that alone won't cover their rent. I won't miss this place when they inevitably close!
Be the first to ReplyI'm glad tbaar opened on 5th ave! The only other boba place
I'm glad tbaar opened on 5th ave! The only other boba place nearby is kung fu tea, and I'm not the biggest fan. This shop is a few blocks down, and worth the walk. Even though they stand right in front of the kiosk, they ask that you order on it yourself. They have a pretty big menu with fruit teas, milk teas, sea salt foam, and even food items. I got the sea salt foam green tea with boba 30% sugar, and I really enjoyed how tea forward it tasted. The worst is when you get a milk tea drink that tastes like JUST MILK, or JUST WATER. I'm a fan of anything sea salt, and it added a nice balanceThe boba was also chewy, but I've only had it once so I can't comment on consistency.Debutea is still my fave, but Tbaar is a close runner up

Yum!! This is such a refreshing place to grab a boba on a hot day! While a bit pricey, the amount of toppings they include almost can be an entire meal!! I got the passion fruit tea with extra lychee jelly and light ice and it was awesome.
Be the first to ReplyThe lychee lime green tea!!! Amazing.
I went with less sugar and lychee jelly and it was thee perfect drink. Came up to $5.88 for a medium which is reasonable. Service was fast & I was able to use the self service kiosk to order. This might be my new go-to bubble tea spot.

I order from this place atleast once a week! I usually order the lychee lime green tea with tapioca and lychee jelly and for my hubby, I order the taro milk tea with tapioca and jelly. They pack the drinks with ample floaties! Yum!
Be the first to ReplyThis is probably my favorite boba place in NYC.
Not only are the sweetness and tea levels perfects, but the price was much cheaper than any boba i've paid for in NYC yet ($5.50ish). Nestled in this cute little storefront in a busy area, Tbaar is a 5/5.
Be the first to ReplyTbaar is a really solid bubble tea shop in Park Slope.
I tried the milk tea with bobba and taste was on point. It was slightly too sweet but you can ask for less sugar. The boba tasted fresh and chewy. Next time I will definitely try the grapefruite w/ aloe. Service was friendly and fast so you can't go wrong with visiting Tbaar when you are in the Park Slope area. Also they have a punch card so your 11th drink is free.

If you're looking for some quality boba in the area, search no further!! Tbaar is one of our favorite spots, when they first opened we were getting this every week almost, we swear by it. They finally opened a location in Brooklyn and it's also connected to our favorite ramen spot, Kyuramen! We l love all the flavors they have and how fresh their boba is. There are so many options, we actually never stuck to one flavor. We've never been disappointed.
