Teak St. Petersburg Reviews from The Last Year
God awful
This place is atrocious. Maybe the owners are set on a tourist trap model of business but if you want good food or cocktails go literally anywhere but here. I assume they only have a kitchen manager because if you call yourself a chef and serve the food this dump does you should be ashamed of yourself. I ordered the Petersburger and it gives this beautiful city a bad name. I paid $15 for the quality of the McDonalds dollar menu. The views of the bay and city are spectacular but there are tons of restaurants that are actually good before you walk the pier. Oh, and also the burger didn’t even come with fries. This place screams dirt cheap owners and I’m pretty sure they got their chef from a fast food joint. It was that bad.
Such a pretty and nice place to eat.
I did not take photos of my steak but it was delicious and the shrimp ceviche was my favorite, it was so good. Service was amazing our waiter Mike was sweet, he gave us good recommendations and was always checking in on us. I will be coming back here for sure.
Teak is a great spot to visit, if you are able! After a day
Teak is a great spot to visit, if you are able! After a day of perusing downtown St. Petersburg or the shops off Beach Drive. Finish your day with a stroll down the pier and catch a beautiful view of the sunset with a cold beverage up top at Pier Tiki, then make your way down to the second floor to eat at Teak for dinner. Highly recommend making reservations! I do have to knock them a bit on this, but overall I'll preface that it was still a lovely experience. I DID make reservations - it was my anniversary, so I was sure to make them well in (2 months) advance. I noted in the reservation that it was my anniversary and I would like a table by the windows to watch the sunset. I even called the restaurant a week ahead to confirm they had the res and noted the request. When we arrived, the hostess was initially going to sit us right in the front where everyone had to walk by - nowhere near the window and not facing it, for sure. I mentioned the reservation and asked if she could please seat us at one of the three clearly available tables along the window front and she said we had to walk back to the front and wait. We then got seated on the other side of the restaurant (by a window), but it was around the corner so no sunset view. I don't mean to rag, but I was chapped. This was my first, much-anticipated visit and a very important celebration... The manager, Kristen, came over after we got seated and I asked about the reservation situation. She explained that the other tables were also reserved and that she did see my note, apologizing for the inconvenience. We were still sat in a nice spot and it was isolated with a pretty view of the ocean, so again, not terrible, but not the romantic sunset vibes I was trying to setup. Kristen was kind enough to comp our bread, which leads me into the food... YUM!!! The bread is a MUST! The infused butters and warm bread that is made in a hot, cast iron pan is legit. I'd include a pic, but it didn't last that long! The salad (also not pictured) was pretty basic. Good sized to split between two, then we shared the seafood pasta. HOLY PORTION! (Pic was half of it) Not only was it delicious enough you'd wanna lick the bowl, but they split it into two for us and we were beyond satisfied with plenty more still in our bowls. Margarita and French 75 were right on-par. A little expensive, but delicious - nothing over the top noteworthy. Scenery behind the drinks made them better... Not sure if the interaction early on promoted an increased level of service and food quality or if that's just how they roll, but I'd absolutely be willing to go back and give it another go to find out! Giving a 3-star rating now and will update after visit #2, soon!
I had an incredible experience! The Brussel sprout
I had an incredible experience! The Brussel sprout appetizer was perfectly crispy and flavorful, setting the tone for a fantastic meal. The short ribs were tender and rich, leaving me completely satisfied. And let's talk about the pineapple upside down cake - it was a delightful end to the meal, bursting with flavor. My waitress said it tastes like Christmas and she was right! The atmosphere was inviting with a great view, and the service was top-notch. I can't wait to return to Teak for another amazing dining experience!
Mama D is the best!
My family drove up to St Pete from Fort Myers to celebrate Easter! The brunch was spectacular, but we were mostly impressed by our service from Donna! She made us laugh & feel right at home. Thank you for making our Easter, Mama D!
The food was outstanding.
Every bite was flavorful. The location does add to the ambiance. You could enjoy the view sitting at the bar or inside. The place was booked and with no tables to spare. The bar was a great spot. The bartender was very helpful and made a wonderful Old Fashioned. The food was on time and perfect. Glad I celebrated my birthday there. Keep up the good work. Will definitely be back.
One of our favorites
A bit pricey, but we have never had a bad meal here. The views are unbeatable and the place is very clean. Staff are great. I highly recommend the fish tacos or grouper sandwich!
Wonderful experience
From the time we entered and were greeted until the time we left after we were finished eating we were treated fantastic by everyone involved. The place is very clean, the view is over the top beautiful, the food was delicious, and the prices were very affordable. We definitely will return the next time we’re in the area. This place is five stars and that’s only because I can’t rate it a six!
Go for the View
Visited this restaurant for Brunch at 1pm on a Sunday. We were seated promptly and our server. Mike, was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the kitchen. After waiting 25 minutes + for our order, my Eggs Benedict were delivered lukewarm and overcooked. My wife's pancakes were also only warm. It was as if the order had been sitting for a time before delivery. Not wanting to delay the experience any longer, we ate our meals without complaint. On the plus side, the view is wonderful, and prices are reasonable, although a 20% service charge is added to each check in lieu of a tip.
Don’t Waste the Time
Not the experience I was expecting. Coming to St Petersburgs and being on the pier with a great view I was expecting some awesome food and service. I ordered a speciality cocktail and my husband and daughter ordered teas. Never once did the waiter come back to fill their glasses or ask if I would like another cocktail. We also had water glasses which we started drinking from after the appetizer and those were also never once filled again. We ordered our dinner and it was lacking in flavor. I got the scallops Mac and cheese. It says it comes with jalapeños and a kick. I never once had any type of heat in that meal. If you are looking for a great seafood place go someplace else. This is not it.
So glad we found this place! It is absolutely beautiful
So glad we found this place! It is absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous view. The service was outstanding. We both have food sensitivities and our waitress was all about helping us make choices that worked for our dietary needs. And, the food was excellent. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the grouper sandwich. Both were delicious. Can't wait to go back!!

A Very Pleasant Lunch
When we have out of town guests, we like to show them things that make St Pete so special. Our visit here was no exception. A beautiful location, very good food, and service that was too knotch. Our server, Donna, was personable, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. My wife and I will definitely be back.
For the price relative to the quality of the food and
For the price relative to the quality of the food and considering the location is this giant buding near the Pier, I had a wonderful time at Teak here in St. Pete. They were upfront about the 20% service charge mandated on all bills, which was explained and much appreciated. The food definitely beat my expectations. I ordered the fish tacos with Mahi Mahi and Chipotle Alioli which were excellent and my partner ordered the Steak Frites with a Greek Chimichurri sauce that really sealed the deal. Overall, I highly recommend making the walk or trolley all the way out to Teak for a nice daytime lunch. Huge shout-out to our server Donna who was very helpful and made the service all the merrier! Until the next visit Teak!

If you're looking for a nice place to eat, this is one of them it has great views of the city and water. Make sure to come if you can. The service was very good but there was a service fee of $20 which is OK. The people were extremely nice. The food was great too. No complaints.

The trio was 10/10 and Sheldon and Brad are the best bartenders in St Pete. Can't beat the view!
I choice to come here on my birthday , as the view is
I choice to come here on my birthday , as the view is beautiful the service is awful as they already take off the 20% gratuity, it definitely shows within the servers attitude that don't care about giving a good experience. I didn't like my food it's was awful and the manager came over and continued to argue with me saying I should've looked at the menu better. I do not recommend coming to this restaurant awful servers and managers.
BF took me here for my birthday dinner.
Overall, great dining experience. Service was excellent on a busy Monday evening. The food was YUM! Iordered the crusted Mahi. The fish was cooked to perfection, dish pairings was fantastic and had a sense of southern comfort deliciousness! It is an exceptional meal when your leftovers taste just as good the next day and you want more! The BF ordered the short rib, which was my second choice, and it was tender with savory flavors. The Teak Punch is good but slightly on the sweeter side, even with ice to water it down. The ambiance is elegant, can be romantic, and has a lovely view of St. Pete city lights. I was really impressed with the execution and presentation of the food! Hats off to the chef/cooks and our waiter (unfortunately don't remember his name to highlight). The food tasted like a fine dining experience and better than most high-end restaurants that I have been to in the Bay Area. Please maintain the standards. I'll be a regular and bring family and friends too!
This place has every excuse to be a tourist trap.
..But it is fabulous! Located at THE END of the Pier on St Pete, Teak has gorgeous views and even better food. Started with the mimosa bucket ($37) and our server would stop by to refill our glasses with the bottle or bubbles that comes with it. Our server, Kat, suggested the grouper sandwich and it was delicious. Started with the fish spread that came with plenty of crackers to enjoy. Give your self at-least 15 minutes between finding parking and walking to the end of the pier if you have a reservation.
Great view, good food.
Four of us had lunch. Food and service very good. They do add a 20% service charge in lieu of tip. View is great. Ask for a table by the windows. Park at the base of the Pier and take the free trolley to the restaurant.

Perfect birthday dinner! From their greet at the host stand, to excellent service and spectacular food... Then the VIEW!! Well, you cannot duplicate it anywhere else in St. Pete! We will definitely be back!
Excellent
Excellent restaurant on a pier with a fabulous view. The service was also excellent. The food was delicious and creative. Overall, a wonderful experience
Oxymoronic : Nice scenic restaurant / Rude, obnoxious, offensive Server
My wife and I while touring St. Petersburg, FL.arrived at Teak around 4: 45 pm on Feb. 19,2024 . They agreed to seat us in spite of our "lack of a reservation ". The place was about 1/3 occupied . We informed the server, " Ariel " that we wished to split a burger and fries and two drinks , as we planned to go out for dinner later. Ariel made a disparaging face and sarcastic toned condescending remark , causing us to feel uncomfortable, . Throughout our service , Ariel ignored us, not once checking in w/ us as to our satisfaction w/ the meal or service. Note , this is a mandatory 20% service charge added to the check in lieu of a tip, establishment. We had to track Ariel down for the check . Ariel asked if we wanted desert , we declined and she once again made a cynical remark with a mocking expression. Note: my wife wrote a comment on the restaurant copy of the receipt .While waiting for the elevator to leave, Ariel compounded her , obnoxious behavior/ attitude by rudely blowing a kiss to my wife. Our impression is that a low level of spending warrants a low level of service .
Wish we lived close enough to become regulars
2/9/24 Teak is about midpoint between us and friends we hadn’t seen in months, and a place the four of us had been wanting to try since the renovations to the Pier area were completed. Although we didn’t plan for this to be a Valentine’s event, the time for our availability just turned out that way. Due to the distance we were all driving we agreed to a 6pm time and I made a reservation. My husband and I arrived early on a beautiful late Friday afternoon and enjoyed the ambiance of the Pier area watching boats, people and more. Our friends messaged that their sitter arrived very late and could be almost 30 minutes late . My husband and I walked in about 5 minutes early for our reservation and didn’t know if we’d be seated or if we’d have to wait for the rest of our party as a few other places have required. We were pleased to be both warmly welcomed and then shown to a beautiful window table with a view of the city. Our server, Seth, was very understanding about our wanting to wait to order when our friends arrived. We did decide to order the Tuscan wine as we watched the day turn to twilight. We also got to see some of the wonderful looking starters and entrees pass by our table to other guests. When our friends arrived they decided on cocktails as we watched the sunset and they easily agreed to share the charcuterie tray. The medley of meats, cheese, spread, olives, nuts and a few cracker was easily large enough as a starter for the four of us. Seth even asked if we’d like that to be split on the 2 checks. By the time we were finished with it, our entrees arrived. All of us ordered different items and thoroughly enjoyed them. The fish & chips my husband ordered, he said was flavorful, moist, hot and a huge portion! He finished it all, as did our guests, though I can’t remember exactly what 2 items they ordered. They both ate every morsel. My order was the steak frites and the steak was perfectly cooked, moist, and just about fork tender. The fries were finished with rosemary and Parmesan cheese. I’ve got to try that at home, even if I know I am not likely to achieve the same outstanding results of crisp outside with a hot soft inside. I was the only one who couldn’t finish all of my meal, but Seth asked if he could box the remainder for me. To which I willingly agreed. He was a wonderful server who seemed to know exactly when to come to the table. The interior of the restaurant is lovely without being fussy. The reception desk is shaped like a small classy boat. The staff there smiled and seemed genuinely interested in being helpful, as was the hostess. I wish I could remember their names. Comfortable elegant larger than typical chairs really helped us relax and sit back. The walls are mostly windows affording great views. Plus despite the mostly full tables, we found it easy to hear one another talk, which is really the purpose for our getting together! On top of that we thought the prices moderate. I do wish we weren’t 90 minutes away from Teak, because we could absolutely become regulars. While you might get lucky to get a table without a reservation, I strongly suggest making one rather than be disappointed.
Dinner time
Christian bures was our fantastic server, very outgoing and polite. Food was out quick and was delicious. Good specials.
Amazing Ambiance
It was cold! We had heat coming from 3 different fires- ambiance was amazing. George T made me the best Old Fashions I’ve had… something about no simple syrup but a brown sugar special blah, blah, blah…BEsT I’ve had. Go see George T at the Pier Teak Bar on the top level for great ambiance, views, and service👍🏼👍🏼

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
