Better Sushi Nearby
The Boston area has many delicious sushi restaurants...Bisuteki is not one of them. After a long day, we decided to try this restaurant as it was conveniently situated in the hotel we were staying in. The restaurant is large with 4 or 5 hibachi tables at the center of the room and standard seating around the perimeter. At 7pm on Friday night, we were one of three standard tables seated. Our waitress seemed to be in a rush to turn over our table and get us to leave. I will say that the other staff we encountered were delightful. The food and drinks were disappointing, to say the least. Most flavors were off-putting, especially the dressing included with the house salad. It had a strong vinegar taste which overpowered the rest of the ingredients. Unfortunately, the drinks were very weak. One thing I really did enjoy was the Black Widow Roll; it was beautifully presented, tasted fresh, and I loved the added crunch of the sweet potato. Our bill was high and while I don't mind paying for good quality, I think Bisuteki was overpriced for what we were served. I would recommend dining at another sushi restaurant in the area as they are easy to find.

Great food and value. Service was excellent. Had a good lunch deal. Very much enjoyed our meal there. Highly recommend med.

The only reason itโs not 1 star is because the food was actually pretty decent. Made a 7:30 reservation and still waited nearly an hour to be sat, and then another hour and a half to get our foodโฆ and if I had to hear their weird techno video game version of the birthday song once more during that time, I may have been driven to actual insanity.

I asked for a reservation went to dress to have a nice night with my husband, guess what, I was seated with 4 teenagers, yes during covid. Yet the next party of 4 who entered got a table to themselves! Had to sit in the bar where no show takes place. Do not recommend for couples, not romantic.
Be the first to ReplyWe had forgotten how entertaining was Hibachi Cook.
We were tired and did not want to go anywhere to have lunch when we came back to pick up our luggage the hotel we stayed earlier. I was going to go for sashimi but I changed my mind to have a chicken teriyaki. So, the cook came out and did some funny stuff and cooked a nice meal before he left. It was decent and reasonably priced.

The hibachi food was really good and I'm happy for that. Our server was okay but not very friendly. Our particular hibachi chef had zero personality and didn't do any of the fun tricks/jokes that you normally get from Hibachi chefs - he just cooked and walked away. That was a little disappointing for a kids birthday celebration. But thankfully the food was very good. (though they don't have yum-yum sauce!!!!)

Definitely not your typical New England asian restaurant! Located inside the Courtyard hotel, staff is friendly, menu is delicious and ambiance is perfection. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

This restaurant is attached to the Courtyard by Marriott in Cambridge. The food is good, but the selections are limited to Japanese food. I did not see any "steak" on the menu. The staff are okay, but need to be more attentive to the customer.
