Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Aren't DMV Appointments non-transferrable?

While it's true that appointments are technically not transferable, for DMV Appointments the transfer service is included for buyers at no cost. The transfer team has both - the sellers and the buyers dmv information, so it can cancel the sellers appointment and then rebook under the buyers name. Should something not work out the Appointment Trader Money Back guarantee will kick in. In any event you won't be turned away when you go to the DMV as the Appointment will be in your name.

No Longer Among the Elite Southern California Resorts

We stayed the last week of July and were returning guests...unfortunately this will be our last time we stay at this property. Let's start with the Good. The Grounds are and have always been amazing..two thumbs up to the team in charge of Landscaping. It stops there thou with the compliments. We spent $2,500 per night for one of the Casitas. The condition of the room was worn and dirty. The furniture had stains and the patio chairs had multiple missing cushions. The Main Lobby Patio is also in need of a refresh...stains on all the Patio Furniture, Black Soot Stains above the outdoor fireplaces and non working fire pits. We ate at 2 of the 3 restaurants...both which ran out of multiple items on the already reduced offering menu. When questioning multiple staff members about the deteriorating conditions and service of the property, they all responded the same way..they were hurt hard by Covid. This place sadly is no longer among the Elite Southern California Resorts. If youre gonna spend 2K+ a night on a room, do yourself and favor and head further south down to Pelican Hill or The Montage.

Wonderful weekend Getaway at Terranea!

Spent our one year anniversary at the magical Terranea Resort and it did not disappoint!!!! Relaxed by the pool, met some great people, and danced to some great tracks supplied by the pool DJ. Checked into our amazing ocean front room were simply stunned by the incredible views. Dinner at mar'sel was out of this world. The service and the food were off the charts delicious! Just when we thought we couldn't eat any more, the waiter brought out a "Happy Anniversary" dessert on the house. We ended the night watching the moon light up waves. Such a fun experience! Slept great in the huge coma bed and woke up ready for more of those views! Had lunch at Nelson's. The seafood Cobb salad was tremendous! Overall, Terranea Resort is a wonderful place and we will most definitely be visiting again. The personnel are very friendly and helpful, and you simply can't beat the amenities this place has to offer. 10 out of 10!!!!!!!

We live in California and this is one of the best resorts to travel to. We flew in a few of our family members for a few days and had the most amazing time.Three things that really stuck out were the incredible staff, the many food options and the number of activities the resort has to offer. The archery and kids club were two of our favorite.

I was debating on giving the Terranea a 1 star review, but the ocean view is so spectacular it felt wrong. But damn, it was close. Why you ask? Let me run down the reasons:1. I was there for a wedding. I felt sorry for my relatives who paid for the dinner. It was AWFUL. The steak was SO overdone (and it was that way for my entire table and all the tables around me...it was talked about). They started the meal off with a tomato-driven salad and the tomatoes used were right off the McDonalds Burger maker line. They were thin, tasteless, gross. The whole meal was disturbingly bad. For a big wedding like the one we are at, the people paying the bill should be compensated.2. Let's keep with the food topic: the next day, we were HUNGRY. Why? Because our meal was crap the night before. So we went to get brunch and were told there was a 45 minute wait. Remember--this is an expensive hotel. a 45 minute wait? For the bridal party? So we had to go to the take-out restaurant already on the property where there was a 20 minute wait...with many of the food items taken.3. I went to the concierge to ask if they would send out a package to me that I had already pre-paid for. They immediately took it, with a smile, and said no problem. That was LAST SATURDAY and they mailed it TODAY (I got a message from my business associate yesterday asking where it was...I looked today at the tracking to find out it had just been sent).If this was some sort of cheap hotel, much of this should be expected. But this is a resort! It is nuts that the food should be so crap and the service to be wayyy under par.

Have been coming since they opened and have always put up with the attitude of the front desk and the greeting staff at Nelsons to enjoy such a beautiful property. After the room rates sky rocked to $1200 a night we still decided it was worth it. Well it's no longer the case. The rudeness of front desk has gotten worse and so has the service. We haven't even gotten in our room yet as the first room they put us in had views of the dirt floor on ground level and the pool equipment of their lower end pool. Not worth the money to be treated like second class citizens and will be updating the review based on the rest of the weekend. We have a trip also planned here in August and honestly about to cancel that. So sad we had so many wonderful memories here as we are local residents.

I stayed in a second floor suite in the Casitas. It was huge and came with a full kitchen, laundry room, living room, and deck with views of the ocean. The suite was basically an apartment and I thoroughly enjoyed having so much room. There were tons of complementary items in the bathroom including toothbrush/paste, a shaving kit, bath salts, you name it! The toilet had a heated seat and bidet. There was an extra deep bathtub and separate glass enclosed shower. The A/C worked well and my room was always cold at bedtime. Housekeeping was discrete and thorough plus they replenished towels every day. Front desk, concierge, and shuttle employees were well mannered and attentive. A few areas of improvement: contacting a shuttle for pick up throughout the property was sometimes difficult; the food I ate at catered events was cold, flavorless, and poor quality; food was better at the restaurants but service was extremely slow and one of my waitresses was rude; guests were having intercourse in the pool; and room service was ridiculously overpriced. Overall, a memorable trip.

We recently stayed at the resort and expected a 5 star facility. But instead were shocked to get a 3 star resort at best. Starting from check in, the service was average to poor. We waited 20 minutes to check in because the front desk is understaffed.Later when we tried to call the front desk and concierge, we were put on hold and no one picked up. If we needed anything we had to walk down to the front desk and wait in a long line.The food was mediocre and the wait after ordering was way too long. We were surprised and disappointed at how average the food is. Also, it looks like they are understaffed in food service.The view and setting are beautiful, but that does not make up for mediocre food and poor service at a high price.

I celebrated my last two birthdays at Terranea. Last year I celebrated my milestone bday in the 3 bedroom villa and this yr I stayed in a one-bedroom suite. The villa is a little dated, but nice and spacious, w/ 3.5 bathrooms, attached parking garage , private hot tub, washer/dryer, full kitchen, fire place, lots of seating areas inside & outside. This year my experience didn't start off that great. I showed up a little before check-in started, but I had to wait over an hour to check-in. The suite was a little dated. The view of the pool at night and the ocean was incredible. The one-bedroom suite, has a separate living room area w/ a pull-out sofa, balconies, and 1.5 bathrooms. On my first night there, we went to Nelsons. The food was just okay. I was more impressed by the sunset ocean view. My last morning there was very memorable. I went for a nice long morning walk and was mesmerized by 3 dolphins. Before I checked out, I went to the gym. It was modern with an ocean view. Both of the times I stayed here, I had a really good time. I feel like I paid more for the view and experiences then the rooms. The room can use some updating. I'm disappointed at my check-in experience, considering I was there for my birthday and all the time I had to wait to check-in. Most hotels will give you at least something small for your birthday or the long wait to check-in. As much as the rooms cost, I should feel more welcomed and valued when checking in.

Spent $10,000 on a Villa only to have ants attack all the groceries and ruin them. I am 9 months pregnant with a toddler, when I asked for a non-toxic cleaner they assured me they could then followed up by coming to spray raid?!? The aunts got into my baby formula, which is impossible to find these days. To make matters worse, there are still ants everywhere and the whole Villa smells like chemicals. I came to get a prenatal massage at the spa and upon my arrival for my $300 massage, there is construction everywhere, you can't even have a moment of peace. The spa attendant was kind but management gives me a free day pass for the inconvenience? So I can come back for more construction tomorrow? Apparently it's all week but they failed to mention that when booking, NEVER coming back here again.

Spent July 4th at this property and had a wonderful stay. We were traveling with family and so we ended up reserving a 2 bedroom Casita. There was some mishap with the check in but the staff went out of their way to make things right. Overall, the resort was super crowded but the staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and fun. The staff at the ocean activity center was great and we really enjoyed our private Kayak tour. The pools do get filled up really quickly and so finding any chairs was a challenge but I think that was mostly because it was a long weekend. Also, the restaurants can provide more vegetarian options but overall, being in LA, we went out a few times for dinner and so did not have too many issues.

Bad service and disappointing amenities

1 out of 5 Sink in bathroom was clogged. We called and service person came during dinner time and left his tool but it was not repaired. We called again the Morning after and no one came when we were having breakfast. We had to call a third time and it was done. It is very disgusting to have clogged sink when you have to wash your hand and brush your teeth at night. We just came back from the pool however our Room service did not come and it’s already 6h00PM and we have to take our showers to get ready for dinner but we don’t have clean towels!!!! Beds were not done. This is not acceptable for a high end hotel as advertised. This hotel is at best a 3 star hotel and it’s almost a scam compared to many hotels that we have been too in Europe and Canada and USA. Overpriced for quality and service. The view is great but that’s it. If you want to pay for that view then book this hotel , if you want luxury then go somewhere else.

A shadow of its former glory

This used to be my favorite hotel! It was gone way downhill since the pandemic. Nobody picks up the front desk phone. If you need anything, you need to walk down to the desk yourself. I spent 20+ minutes on hold waiting to talk to someone on several occasions, nobody ever answered. One morning, I called room service to order breakfast. And nobody answered. 45 minutes on hold, still no answer. I was there for a conference and had a day full of meetings. Room service breakfast was my only chance to eat all day. I finally called the operator and she patched me through. I told them they must have an issue with their phones because I hadn’t been able to get through. They told me they’d just been busy. So…I guess if they’re busy, the guests just go hungry? It’s a shame. I’ve stayed at this hotel at least 5 times in the last 10 years and used to rank it amongst the best hotels in the country. Now it is way under-staffed. Hopefully they can staff up again and get back to being great because it is a beautiful property.

They seemed to have over booked for the weekend, the check in line was very crowded. We booked 2 rooms for parent’s stay. Both rooms were not ready until 5 pm, way passed check in time. Golf was good. Service at the pool was good too.

This was our first time here. We couldn't believe something like this existed such a short drive from LA. From the views to the pools to the oceanside meals at Nelsons, we felt transported to a far away vacation spot. The highlight was the Ocean Kayaking trip, where we saw dolphins, sea lions and whales. We will definitely be back!

This app is filling a void - there's a real market to tap into here. It's just annoying to see some reservations getting sold out here that end up in a no show - the restaurants aren't benefiting in such cases unless they charge a no-show fee. Besides this issue, I'm looking forward to the app community growing and would love to continue to contribute towards it's growth in any way that I can!

Wow! First time using this website/app. It was almost hard to believe the quality of customer service I received as soon as I posted my offer. Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
