We started with the forbidden fruit cocktail and it was very good. Not very alcohol forward, but tasted like a good apple cider. The charcuterie board with meats and cheeses was decent, but a little lackluster. It came with two small slices of cheese, but the meats were plenty. The smoked duck was not good. Finally, the $30 risotto was blah. Slimy texture and all you could taste was mushroom. The waiters were nice, but overall, I would recommend staying away from this place. So many other options for good food in Chicago.

During our stay at the EMC2, we found ourselves returning to this restaurant for both breakfast and dinner multiple times. The service was impeccable, and the food was consistently delicious. The dinner menu offered unique and tasty options, and we couldn't resist trying the martini and crustini combo on the Happy Hour menu. The smoked duck and mushrooms side dish was a standout, and the desserts, particularly the chocolate cake, were a sweet ending to our meal. The Albert has definitely exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely delicious and artful meal.
We loved every last bite and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a culinary experience to remember.

I really enjoy going to the Albert, we've become regulars at the restaurant. Our server Elizabeth is always attentive to our table and takes good care of us. She is super nice and the reason why we are reoccurring customers!

Customer service was great, the staff was kind and easy to talk to. We went in for breakfast and it took over 45 minutes to get our very simple order. The restaurant was at less than 50% capacity... which doesn't make much sense. To clarify, we ordered a parfait and one egg sandwich. The food was okay, definitely not worth the wait. I would stop in if the hotel gives you a complimentary breakfast. I do not recommend paying for the food. The vibe inside is dark, soft music, and cool artwork. Overall, kind of a swing and miss.

Removing a star since I tried their chocolate cake today and was very disappointed. The cake was worse than what you can buy at the super market. Did not taste high-quality and definitely not worth $14 for the slice.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food and service.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a great night out near Michigan Avenue.
Be the first to ReplyObsessed with everything here.
The interior design/decor was breathtaking. There was so much detail! Everywhere you look, there was something interesting to read or look at. The food and service were also just as great. The server recommended the food in the picture, cannot complain. Very rich experience.
Be the first to ReplyThe staff were friendly.
The food was good but they were out of items for brunch. The look and feel of the restaurant was elegant and comfortable. The prices were very affordable. I would like to try their dinner menu.
Be the first to ReplyAte here while spending a day in Chicago.
It was up the street from my hotel so I just went. It was restaurant week during the time (early march) so they had a 3 course deal going on. I got the tuna tartar app which was so delicious. The 4 cheese ravioli (either 3 or 4 cheese can't remember) for entree also delicious. And flourless chocolate cake for dessert also so delicious. I also got the truffle fries side and lemon elderflower vodka lemonade drink. Literally everything was delicious. I cleaned every plate and left no crumbs. I was full after everything I ordered. I think the sizes were smaller for that special menu but idk. If that was the regular size of the ravioli and I had just ordered that it would not fill me up. I think the price was reasonable on the lower end of expensive. No complaints. The service was also good.
Be the first to ReplyThis was a pretty meh experience.
The hotel and the restaurant has a super unique look to it which I definitely liked. We had reservations and were seated immediately. We started with cocktails and the burrata. My cocktail was their take on the aperol spritz, which I really enjoyed. The burrata was tasty and came with some yummy chips. For my main course, I went with their dry rub wings and a side of fries. The wings were super bland, and the fries were okay. It was super underwhelming. For dessert we were recommended the olive oil cake. That was my first time having it and it was pretty good!
Be the first to ReplyThe only thing more exceptional than the food and cocktails
The only thing more exceptional than the food and cocktails is the service--specifically, the phenomenal manager, Adam and our super attentive server, Martin! This past Friday evening, my husband and I settled in for dinner at a cozy table and started with a Forbidden Fruit and a Noethern Lights. Both were excellent and blew our minds. We then had the Smoked Duck, which was so tender and adorned with the most addicting black truffle relish, and the Crudo, which was fresh and delectable. I was most extremely unprepared for how spectacular the Risotto was going to be. It was like eating a piece of art that fed my soul in ways I didn't know were possible. It was hot, rich, comforting, and just overall remarkable. Risotto can be so hit and miss at restaurants, but the Albert's impressed me to the core and was just what I needed after a long day of traveling. My hubbie had the Sirloin and loved his as well, just not to the intensity that I adored my Risotto.Adam came over to our table a few times to check on us, and each interaction with him felt like we were chatting with an old friend. He made us feel like we were the only guests there and his attitude and demeanor were the epitome of how every human working in hospitality or dining should be. We indulged in everything Martin recommended and because of his insight, we were completely full and happy by the time we finished. We were staying at the Hotel EMC2 and asked if we could take a final round of cocktails up to our room on the 22nd floor. The bartender, who was fantastic but whose name I never got, made our beverages and away we went, ready to sleep soundly and dream of magical forbidden fruit and risotto :) We'll definitely be coming back here on our next trip and hope to run into Adam and Martin again!
Be the first to ReplyThis place looks nice, but it ends there.
The drinks are weak and poorly concocted, and the food is comically bad. The salumi plate was a jewel run aside from the grilled bread. The service was on par with the food. They should feel embarrassed trying to act highbrow when you are very clearly lowbrow and not even good at that.

Cute perfect place to grab dinner located right inside the hotel. Decor is very hotel chic, beautiful. Great vibe. Not a very large place so seating is limited. Recommend reservations just in case. It was a wonderful dining experience. We come to Chicago often for work and always look for new places to try as the food experience in this city is amazing.. a must try if your in the area.
Be the first to ReplyUnique decor and totally different design.
... Even though it's a restaurant part of the hotel it has its own identity. Loved the drinks, the mixologist Mark was up for a challenge and made some drinks on special request. We came in rather late after a comedy show so ordered a bunch of shared plates. I loved the polenta board the best polenta ever, flat bread was good a little salty for me and the 4 cheese ravioli was delicious!Interesting to find so many vegetarian options. The beverage manager Adam was welcoming, chatty and friendly. It's great to have such excellent customer service. Will certainly be back !
Be the first to ReplyWe made the mistake of coming with tired, underdressed
We made the mistake of coming with tired, underdressed tweens on a weekend evening this time. While we got looks from a few of the other patrons, the staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The food was delicious, the drinks great, and the decor endlessly interesting. This is a treat for foodies, an excellent dress-up for date-night spot, and is great for smaller groups, too. Highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyWe came last night for drinks and had such a great time
We came last night for drinks and had such a great time that we ditched our dinner reservation to come back tonight. The ambiance is on point, the service is excellent. They have a great playlist on and the servers, bartender/bar back, hosts, and manager jam out to the music and are clearly enjoying themselves.

We ate here for Christmas brunch and had lots of delicious items to choose from at the buffet table. I ordered the whitefish and my husband had the prime rib. Both entrees were very good. I added a glass of champagne with my meal and my husband had a glass of whiskey. Service was great and a great way to spend Christmas!
Be the first to ReplyI couldn't recommend this place more highly.
The staff is so friendly and engaging. The design is very fun. The food was excellent. This is a place that people should definitely try
Be the first to ReplyVery cool ambiance & decorated very well.
Food and service could use improvement. Took 10min to get a drink and it wasn't crowded at all. Cute spot though.

Love the cocktails! The appetizers are also delicious, shrimp, crostinis, etc! We had Mariah and Patrick as our servers and they were both fantastic! Will try some of their dinner entrees next time!
Be the first to ReplyI had dinner here a few weeks back, and I can't stop
I had dinner here a few weeks back, and I can't stop dreaming about it! Our server Mariah, was very knowledgeable and gave us some great menu recommendations. The polenta board, was amazing, the pork chop was the best I've had, kudos to the Chef and kitchen! The restaurant itself is decorated with some great artwork and the thing over the bar is too cool to describe. Thank you Adam and everyone who made our dinner so memorable. GO HERE! Highly recommend
Be the first to ReplyCool environment, impeccable service and excellent food.
Be sure to try the vendure trio. Pasta is homemade excellence.
Be the first to ReplyMy first time visiting the Albert was over this past
My first time visiting the Albert was over this past weekend and I was not just pleased but throughly impressed with the food, staff and entire experience. The food was outstanding, so much so, that I took too big of a bite and ended up choking. This has never happened to me before and was a very scary experience. The staff not only acted swiftly but went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and at ease with the situation that had occurred. Afterwards, I was extremely embarrassed and upset. The food and beverage manager, Adam Jennings not only saved my life via the Heimlich maneuver but took time to sit and talk with me and make sure I was okay. He also made a point to give me his card and told me not to hesitate if there was anything I needed or if I ever needed someone to talk to. I highly recommend coming to this establishment. Their chicken dish, specifically was "to die for" LOL. It was well worth every dollar and minute.I cannot thank Adam Jennings & the rest of the Albert staff enough for not only a great night but also for saving my life.
Be the first to ReplyAwesome spot.
