Totally overpriced and pretentious.
Do not go. Hostess made us wait because it was "so exclusive." Once inside, it was just like any other bar but with bad attitude and expensive drinks.

MOST FUN I've had at a Vegas bar in a long time! Went in on Sat Feb 25 2023 around midnight. Took care of the bouncer to skip the line (it's Vegas after all) but he was super nice. Incredibly entertaining band was playing alot of rock cover songs and the crowd was going nuts. Two seats at the bar opened as we walked up and it was packed - chalked to up to divine intervention and ordered (one too many) cocktails. Really fun crowd too - no drama just a lot of people looking to have a good time. My husband and I will 1000% go back next time we are in Vegas.

The Barbershop is the best Speakeasy! What I loved: - the layers of flavors of the drinks (ie, some have smoke-infused glasses, one has a slowly melting popsicle in the shape of a guitar) - the creatively-named and carefully-crafted whiskey cocktails (can you say "Mustache ride" and "Danger"?!!) - the nightly live music (sometimes with celebrity singers stopping by!) - the mood lighting and swanky vibe - the private way of entering the lounge bar through the working barbershop's janitor closet - and most of all, the head bartender, Tony Tony makes the bar! We thought about reserving a table, but then we wouldn't get our "Tony fix". He was entertaining and personal. He made us laugh and did tricks while making drinks, but in a subtle if-you-aren't-paying-attention-you'll-miss-it kind of way, which was impressive and charming, all at the same time. Plus, he made the meanest, most dangerously-delicious drinks! ** Tips ** 1. Espresso is in Fashion" is a must-order, and drink it from the coffee sugar side. Thank me later. *chef's kiss* 2. They allow walk-ins; but note that you are limited to the bar area. Tables require reservations, which may need a minimum spend deposit, so this is good for groups or if you stay for the show. 3. Ask for Tony, if you're at the bar. He's the best!
Be the first to ReplyIt's a cool spot.
However the place is small. You have to make a reservation to be able to feel relax & sit on a comfortable position. You might get lucky if you can find a spot by the bar. Bartender's were great!( Mai-kababayan) Even though we were standing for a long period of time. Try the old fashioned & Mustache drink. It's a must. Live music last night was okay. It could be better. 90'sh music could be perfect. We can come back again. Thank you Mai for making our visit better & the bus boy and all the staff- Thank you.
Be the first to ReplyI was overall not very impressed with this place.
We got right in but it took a little time to get a drink. Another group got up from some couches and we went to sit down. There were no reserved signs on the table. The bouncer immediately came over and literally "shooed" us away with his hand. Didn't say a word or give any kind of explanation. I found it to be incredibly rude. Needless to say, we left after we finished our drinks.

****Please read 2nd part**** The guy behind the menu/bar truly knows his stuff. It's beyond difficult for me to find anyone that knows a good scotch cocktail. And this guy killed it. One of the best I've had in well over a year. And to be honest most of Vegas is trash at making a good drink unless it's Jack and Coke. This place is worth the wait because you actually get a drink that you want to sip and enjoy. Update once I received the bill. *******At first I gave this place a 5 star review. But I just received my bill and realized they charge $5 per ice cube that's in your drink. That's absolutely insane and it's blatantly taking advantage of your customers. I'll never be back despite all the good things I said above. This is the true embodiment of greed. *****

The Barbershop Cuts and Cocktails is a cool speakeasy in the Cosmopolitan. Once you get into the bar, there's not a lot of space if you haven't made reservations, and nothing is really explained. The main bartender was great and there was live music. He was quite talented.

This place is so fun! I recommend it 10/10 for tourists and locals. They have live music with amazing bands. The ambiance is great and the cocktails are delicious. The bouncers at the front door are also super cool!

We were staying at the Cosmo and had to check out this hidden bar/club inside the Barbershop. We were able to get in pretty quick and got a table(no charge). Drinks were good, and the band was playing some great 80's rock/pop music. We had a great time.

So this spot was a place that I was looking forward to getting into. I tried to get in last time I was in Vegas, and didn't have time, so this time I made it a point to get in. It's in the Cosmo, so there is plenty to do, but a hidden bar you have to at least try! I stood in line to get in, which was not ideal but not the end of the world, but still. You have to go into an actual barber shop, which was the coolest thing though... More hidden bars and restaurant action! I was not really overwhelmed after I got in. They made you pay to try to get a seat, and I was not willing to. I went to the bar, which was standing room only, but at the end of the day, it was too crowded for all of that. I am not a fan of shoulder to shoulder areas though! It was not much of a cocktail lounge... I would not call it much of a lounge at all. There was live music with a stage, not some place you would go to relax at all. But they are very heavily whiskey based, so that part was worth it! If you go for the experience... make reservations because it's no guarantee that you will get in other wise!

It's almost irrelevant whether you consider the ambiance, decor, drinks or service here great, terrible or anywhere in between. The real test of whether you should go here is if you can stomach EDM. Or if you'd prefer to listen to, you know, GOOD music. Not saying that the music they play here (all forms of rock essentially), is the only kind of good music, but I am saying that EDM is NOT good music. And that EDM is what you'll hear most other places in vegas. So there you go, easy decision.
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience.
Fidel trimmed my beard with gray precision. Quick, but not careless. Heated blow dry, fragrance, several different razors and the straight edge. I didn't have a reservation but he was able to fit me in. And, did a great job! I'll be back to this fine establishment when I'm in town. We'll done!
Be the first to ReplyCool concept for a cocktail lounge.
Worth the experience of going in and ordering a drink and enjoying the atmosphere, although there's hardly any seating unless you're willing to pay

The Barbershop is an an electrifying live music haven! Its a super hot, exclusive, live music venue in Vegas unlike anything else - and you have to stop here for killer live music when you're in town. Phil at the front door is always great, and he can spot the posers a mile away (he's obviously a professional). Only the coolest people of the Vegas scene can be found here on most nights.

Strong drinks, great cover band, fun vibe with a good amount of seating! Definitely a favorite for a reason. There may be a wait, because it's not a huge space and you may need people to file out before you get admitted in, but especially if you're staying in the Cosmo, check it out!

If you are looking for a unique, beautiful venue and professional staff the Barbershop is the place. The atmosphere is unlike any other and the music is an added bonus. We decided to hold our wedding ceremony here with our closest friends and family (around 45 guests) because we love live music and the overall vibe of the venue. Immediately upon request we received everything we needed to know to get started from our wedding planner through the Cosmo. We were set up with an event planner who was able to get us pricing, food options, music, drinks - you name it. When our event planner was unavailable Joy Villanueva stepped in and picked up right where we left off. She was always available for questions and kept our contract up to date with any last minute changes. We let Joy know we were interested in live music and she put us in touch with Ben Carey who called me directly to get to planning. We love Ben's band but they would not be available on our wedding day. He assured us we would love the 442's and he was so right. They were awesome and our guests had the best experience. The 442's played our song live to start the party and didn't stop until it was done. They took requests and even invited us on stage for a song. Such a talented group of musicians and was worth every single cent. The staff kept the drinks flowing and the party going. It felt flawless. If you are looking for hold an event anywhere go with the Barbershop. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Rude! Rude! RUDE! Whoever they had working at the front desk was completely curt and absolutely inconsiderate. As soon as my other half and I stepped in to inquire about beard trimming services for him, the girl at the front desk did not bother to make eye contact with us. Rather, she rudely replied that they weren't able to give him a trim until hours later. We were going to walk away when one of the barbers stopped us and said he'd be able to clean him up in about 10-15 minutes. As he waited, I stepped out and noticed customer after customer leaving the shop and saying how rude of a "bitch" the girl at the front desk was. My other half was pleased with his clean-up and liked the job the barber had done but admitted that it was a bit overpriced for what it actually was.

One of my most impromptu haircut with the most humble barber. She really did an incredible job of clean pixie cut. She also did so fast and even my husband was pleased how fast and clean it was cut. She was the best.

Recognizing the signs is just as important as being aware of the differences. Must like noticing a barbers pole in the middle of the grand Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino. Nonetheless, a barbers pole signifies a place where barbers craft the artistry of hair cutting. While providing a safe place for the lost art of quality conversation.Quite fitting that this barbershop is the front for a classical Speakeasy Bourbon bar. With a funhouse like entrance from a secret doorway leading into a neoclassical prohibition replica. Patrons will find it to be a crossover into another time period. Although hairstyles may change throughout time. This uniquely fun setup earns this barbershop a genuine cut as a top Las Vegas attraction.
Be the first to ReplyI went in to get a beard trim from Gucci.
I showed him a picture of what I wanted told him to bring in the sides and leave the length on the bottom. So what does he do, take half my beard off. Never going back, over priced and terrible results.Honestly if I could I'd ask for my money back.
Be the first to ReplyI think my expectations for this place were too high.
It's honestly just another overpriced bar on the strip. Didn't find the service, drinks, or ambience to be anything extraordinary. The bartender would take multiple orders at once and then instead of sending out the drinks as they were ready, she basically just waited until all of them were ready. Seemed like a waste of time. Was $63 before tip for 3 basic cocktails. The music on a Sunday night was decent. I suppose you go for the live music, otherwise there are plenty of other bars I'd recommend above this one.
Be the first to ReplyI had been wanting to try this place for a while.
In the past, the line was too long so we didn't wait. When my friend's boyfriend decided to get a haircut here, we used it as an opportunity to checkout the bar. It's actually a pretty small venue, so the long lines made sense. They had live music, which was a nice touch. Our bartender was great. We let him pick our drinks and he did a great job. The drinks were tasty, but pretty expensive (standard for the strip). The live musician was taking requests and it was a lot of country, which isn't really our vibe so we didn't stay long. But overall it was a nice experience.

Been wanting to try this speakeasy for a while! There's a couple of ways to get into the saloon. The first one is to wait in line like a normal person, but good luck if there's a convention in town. Another way is to submit an application online in advance, and the third option is to get a haircut. As someone who thrives on adventure, I opted for the haircut because why not. And I needed one anyway.I was able to secure a haircut appointment the same day. Although the haircut is definitely on the pricier side at $70, a haircut inside a glamorous hotel in the Las Vegas Strip which comes with a no hassle entrance to the speakeasy makes the price a bit more reasonable. It's Vegas so why not, and I probably would've lost that at the craps table anyway. After looking all spiffy, I was directed to the janitor closet which was the entrance to the speakeasy. My first impression was that It felt more like a concert than a speakeasy. That night was country night so there were line dancing, and good old fashioned live music. The drinks were well balanced and priced about $18 per drink which is normal for Las Vegas casinos. The food was surprisingly good. We ordered the hamachi crudo, wagyu sliders, and the signature wings. All of them were delicious and complimented our drinks. Overall an exceptional experience. There was a long line to get in so I was happy I went the haircut option to get in. Music was good, food and drinks was good, and I was happy with my haircut.
Be the first to ReplyFun hidden spot at the Cosmopolitan.
I enjoy the gamesmanship of the Cosmo and creating little hidden small venue gems. Get in line early for the hidden speakeasy parked behind the Barbershop directly across from Henry's.The doorman is relaxed and fun. The doorman is always the first clue if this will be good. It's good. Once inside the small room, you have a band stage in front of you with a great bar to your right. Finding a seat can be challenging, and getting waited on once you have a seat, can be hard to get waited on. Have someone hold your chair and go to the bar to get a drink. Most folks will let you work your way to the bar because they had to do the same thing and know what it is like to be sans alcohol. The music the night I was there was fantastic--a country singer who took requests from the audience and played them all.
Be the first to ReplyVery cool little speakeasy / babershop.
Come early to find seating! Drinks are good and the music changes
