And this isn't a "5 stars for Montauk" rating - it's an all time rating. Maybe we hit it on a good night, maybe we did everything right? Here's how we experienced the Crow's Nest:- Arrived at 4:15PM for a party of 19, broken into tables of 8 (women), 7 (men) and 4 (older kids) - the younger kids roamed the property (supervised down by the cute swing set) and never did sit - which is good since there really aren't any good children menu items.- Some in our party knew the menu and knew how to order. We started with a few table appetizers, whipped ricotta (I love you), tuna and fluke tiradito (Peruvian for sashimi). We then moved onto a pasta course of lobster tagliatelle and Moroccan lamb pappardelle - out of this world. Then for mains, we ordered scallops and ribeye. The women's table had the halibut and said it was among the best they've had. For desert, they offer a platter which has a small taste of everything, which was perfect. And their coffee / espresso was perfect. The tastes of the dishes were all amazing. I remember zoning out in the conversations, not able to pay attention, because the food was so delicious and I couldn't focus on anything else. - We had the MOST AMAZING server- she was the most professional, down to every single detail. How she served, how she cleared, silverware service, deep knowledge of the menu, and awareness of what was going on at our other two tables. She wasn't a seasonal person trying her had at serving, she knew what she was doing, and it made a tremendous difference. She wasn't "chummy", she never disappeared, and she was around whenever needed. I can understand the mixed reviews - as most people might think it is crazy to deal with all of these policies that Crow's Nest puts in place to be as fair as possible - to those people I would say - you are a guest of their experience - and I suggest you appreciate it. Just because you're paying alot of money, you don't get to dictate the terms of this (perfect) restaurant. And our check was on the higher-end. You can see the menu online, and don't need me to tell you that. As for the decor - everything, every tiny detail, is exquisite. Montauk-esque, with a high-end touch, all with a North African-ish vibe (think Moroccan / Tunisian, however, I'm no expert) - this is down to the font they use on the menus.
