Be the first to ReplyNever in my life had I ever been treated the way Julia
Never in my life had I ever been treated the way Julia treated us at a local establishment. I've dealt with racism and discrimination my whole life, but this definitely topped it. We paid for bottomless mimosas and after we paid, Julia came back to our table and snatched the bottle away from us because she "didnt like the tip" we gave her. I wasn't aware, bottomless mimosas were conditional upon the waitress subjective view of what she thinks she's entitled to receive in tips. She was ignoring us the whole time and purposely going all the way around our table to attend the other tables next to us. Little did she know we were going to leave a cash tip as well, but she jumped to conclusions and was very condescending. After speaking to the manager, he apologized and instantly brought us another bottle and we appreciated the corrected behavior. However, upon exiting another waitress asked us to leave because we were allegedly "talking sh*t" about one of their waitresses. I have never had waitresses curse at me like that. The amount of unprofessional behavior we endured by these women and their elementary attitude was the worse experience in my life. The only Tip Julia deserves is Do Better! Never going back there again!
Be the first to ReplyLove the food and bottomless mimosas.
Bonus when it's a nice sunny day to be sitting at the picnic tables outside.

Great place for weekend brunch if you're also getting drinks (yay, bottomless mimosas)! Food is just average-- none of the dishes really stand out, but they do they job. Ambiance is very lively and can be a bit noisy at times. Ample outdoor seating is a nice touch. Wonderful on a summer day.

We ordered some food. The oyster rockfeller was not very good. I also ordered a burger, bland no flavor and over cooked. Plenty of places to eat around there.

Watched a march madness game and had a few drinks. Great deals and food came out quick and did not disappoint. Would come again!
Be the first to ReplyMy friends and I walked in on a Monday night.
We sat ourselves at the bar, and perhaps 5 minutes we see the bartender. My friend tries to order a vodka redbull and stumbled on his words a bit, and then the bartender told us "This isn't the bar for you-- it seems as though you've been drinking". Mind you, I was sitting behind a pilar so he couldn't even see me. I thought his language was rude but I do understand the idea of not wanting to serve already drunk customers. However, none of us had anything to drink at this point.

Walked in at 9pm sober and was told to leave because the bartender was overwhelmed (there was 6 patrons). Person with the beard was nice about it, but had bad judgement of character
Be the first to ReplyService was not very good and food was mediocre.
My friend made a reservation for 5 people at 11am and two of us were on time. However, three people of our party were on the way. We were told that a majority of our party had to arrive before we could be seated. My friend and I just stood outside waiting for our friends arriving soon in an Uber. However, their Uber took a wrong turn or got lost which added time to their arrival time. When we informed the hostess, she told us our table might be given away since they have a 15 minute grace period. While I understand a grace period, it's pretty clear that two of us were present with the rest on the way and our party wasn't going to abandon our reservation. When I told her that, the hostess did not care. She said she wouldn't seat just two of us at a large table. That's ridiculous since clearly it's going to be more than two of us. Our party ended up arriving and we got seated but the threatening demeanor of the hostess wasn't welcoming. Moreover, once we sat down and ordered, it took 45 minutes for our food to come. We had to give the table up by 1pm and our food did not arrive until 12:30pm which was ridiculous. My chilaquiles were cold and barely had any sauce. They were dry and all our food was cold.

Used to be my go-to place for drinks, then I received no response (6 emails to PR person and owner-wife, about holding a fundraiser. I posted my concerns and got 86ed for writing. Owner-husband called me a liar and said he only found 1 email ... I sent him proof of 6. He then said I slandered his business and that I deleted the post after his email ... I sent him proof the post had not been changed since July 2023, which was my last 'great' review. Very unprofessional!
Be the first to ReplyDon't try to go there on a Saturday.
20 somethings gone wild. We visited during the week. Since we are older they seated us in the back corner so the cool kids wouldn't see us. It wasn't busy then. It still took 10 minutes for anyone to come and take our drink order. The mahi tacos were very good. The fish and chips were below average. They didn't give you many fries, which was good because they weren't that great. Summary: More of a bar than a restaurant.

Had great service tonight and REALLY good food! The chips and guacamole are among some of the best I've had and the Cobb with chicken and ranch was beyond good. Drinks were also fabulous and inventive. Very good experience!

I like the Duck Dive for happy hour, to bring the dogs to on the patio after a sunset walk by the beach and a bottomless brunch. Their brunch food is my favorite menu of theirs and they are great to accommodate other events like Discover PB and my gym's social happy hour. Always a good time at DD!
Be the first to ReplyService was great.
I think it was Chris. Ambiance is vibrant, a little loud w lots of tv's. Food is not there forte. Carne asada tacos were bland, dry an flavorless. Fish and chip, same. Beer selection is poor
Be the first to ReplySucks , scamming managers.
Will not be coming back. Food very mediocre. Don't go there. Oh also, my husband got food poisoning from cold carne asada, served cold.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was excellent.
My wife had a steak salad and I had an ahi salad. The atmosphere was upbeat and friendly. We will go back.

Friendly and entertaining bar with lots of TVs for viewing pleasure. Service was excellent. The food selection was good and overall it was a very enjoyable experience during Super Bowl game day.

Stopped by this place yesterday for drinks after eating next door. I was surprised by how good my drink came out. I ordered a Paloma and it was the best tasting Paloma I have ever had. The guy making the drinks was fast and attentive. I came with my husband and two friends, and we all got different drinks but each of us really liked our drink.
Be the first to ReplyDecent brunch spot in the heart of PB.
This place was packed on a gloomy Saturday afternoon with what I'm assuming are college students with the same idea of getting bottomless mimosas in the most popular part of San Diego. We waited for about an hour for a table for two but luckily there's the beach and shops to walk around while you're waiting. I ordered the chorizo hash with soy chorizo. Love that there is no extra charge to make it vegetarian. The portion sizes were decent but my friend's avocado toast was tiny for the price point in my opinion. The food was nothing to write home about but it was still satisfying. The bottomless mimosas were with a really cheap brut and you have the choice of orange or grapefruit juice. Not the best mimosas I have ever had but they get the job done if you want to get schmacked. You definitely come here for the location and ambience. Service was friendly too! I would give this place a 3.5 if I could.

A bartender aggressively tapped my head because I was sleepy even though I only had my head in my arms on the table. Employees should NOT have the right to touch customers much less as a first resort. I was with two friends... My head now hurts and I wasn't doing anything uncalled for, just was sleepy.

Duck Dive has re-instituted Happy Hour, and it did not disappoint (despite no longer offering their delicious mussels). We tried the calamari & spinach dip, both were very good, tho I was partial to the calamari. It includes French fried onion rings and peppers along with the calamari. The spinach dip lacked a lot of spinach and was not very thick, but tasty. Husband's regular Adobo chicken taco order has never disappointed. House wine was good. Our bartender was great!
Be the first to ReplySo good, we ate so fast I didn't get a photo.
Might be the best veggie burger I've ever had, however they have shoestring fries and I usually like the thicker crispier ones. Loved it! Right by the beach too!
