Amazing managent and staff, a very warm welcome for everyone.
We spent St Patrick's day in this beautiful hotel with extend family. The management and staff were absolutely outstanding. They really went out of their way to make sure that everyone enjoyed the day including my son who is autistic. We could mot fault anything, so clean, good food, excellent service and attention to their customers. We will definitely be back.

Stayed in the Glenroyal hotel over Saint Patrick's weekend and I must say Evan and Ian in the bar are just fantastic, excellent service and fantastic cocktails from Evan in particular. Would highly recommend stopping by for a drink in the Arkle Bar. Looking forward to returning soon.

What a beautiful hotel. Absolutely spotless. Large modern rooms and great bathrooms ,love the Rituals cosmetics. The bar serves beautiful cocktails and the breakfast was hot and super tasty. Sean,a lovely young man on reception helped us with future reservations on check out. He was so nice and a credit to the hotel.Looking forward to our next visit.Irish hospitality at its best .

Stayed here recently with my two daughters age 13 and 10. A family package deal which included breakfast and three course dinner. A week before arriving, Callum rang me asking if I wanted a room upgrade to a family room. I said yes of course and the room was gorgeous. A double bed and single beds. Newly refurbished. Very modern. Thanks Callum. Hotel staff very welcoming and friendly. The family pool was lovely. Kids really enjoyed it. There's a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna for the adults. All lovely. Went to the pool following morning again after breakfast. Dinner was nice but limited choice on the three course set menu. Could have had more variety. The drinks very expensive. Breakfast following morning was excellent. Great variety and lots to choose from and tasty. The reason for 4 stars not 5, is because of limited food choice at dinner and although the room was gorgeous, it was extremely warm. The thermostat was at the lowest and we left the windows open which only opens so much because of child safety, and the room was still very warm at night. Beds very nice and comfortable. Just a pity about the heat. I would go back. It was a lovely break with my daughters.

We had a great stay at the Glenroyal hotel recently, I could not fault it in any ways but i have to say the highlights were the food and the friendliness of the team there. Katie on reception was a pleasure to deal with but i have to give a shout out to the bar team also who were very friendly and offered great knowledge with recommendations. Looking forward to booking in the future

Excellent hotel! Stayed here a number of times on business. Rooms have always been clean, tea/coffee along with bottled water topped up on a daily basis when the cleaners freshen up the towels and bedding. Great team, Leah has been helpful on a number of occasions. Breakfast buffet accommodates even the fussiest of eaters with a wide choice of options. Make use of the free gym and swim facilities, great place to relax after a busy day Hotel is within Maynooth itself so a great location to explore the local shops and soak up the atmosphere with a Guinness Until next time GoenRoyal, thank you

Had a lovely time at glenroyal. Katie on reception is a shining star and is the jewel in the crown of the glenroyal. Highly recommend seeking her out if you've any issues or just to check in. She was helpful sourcing robes, storing items in a fridge and organising breakfast for us.

Easy parking Nice welcome Room was a little bit of a walk away but I don’t mind that. I think the rooms are being upgraded and unfortunately we were in the older part of the hotel - furniture a bit tired and marked, bathroom uninviting and carpets in the corridors heavily marked. Dinner in the restaurant was fabulous - seafood platter was heaven. Leisure facilities were ok - we managed a swim. Breakfast plentiful.

Myself and my daughter had a fabulous meal in the Arkle restaurant yesterday. Even though it was a busy evening, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Can honestly say I have not had better service in any restaurant I have ever been too. The food was absolutely delicious also! I highly recommend the Roasted Cauliflower, chickpea and coconut curry and sticky toffee pudding! * chef's kiss* On top of having amazing food, Peter and Maria made the whole experience unforgettable. Gold stars all round!

Yes . What an amazing welcome we had at this hotel. Our flight had been cancelled . Got to the hotel very late (early morning). As we walked in to the hotel the lobby area was stunning. Candles burning, an amazing atmosphere. But wait, The guy who checked us in, we’ll he was great. Gave the kids a party pack. Understood what we had been going through. A really great IRISH welcome. He even went the extra mile and went to make us both a cappuccino and hot chocolate milk for the kids. We will for sure tell other back home. Dermot thank you.

We could not be happier to have had Dejan as our porter . He called on time for a early morning flight back to the U.S.A. When we went to the lobby Luggage in hand Dejan had made us fresh coffee to get us ready for another hectic flight. He then made travel cups for us to take a cup with us and helped us get our luggage into the car. What a guy Dejan, Thank You so much.
That great help really brightened our morning and gave us a early morning smile. This is our second stay at Glenroyal and after this experience there will be a Third. Congratulations for having a employee who truly cares about his clientele. This is why we like staying there and the reception was very helpful as well. We will be back and again I say: THANK YOU DEJAN you are truly a very nice and caring man and we will never forget it.
Sincerely,
Tyler and Merryl

Nice menu options, great staff
The staff in the bar/restaurant are very helpful, in particular Darren. Some really nice options on the menu. Good facilities (including gym and swimming pool). Bar area and toilets well maintained. Would highly recommend.

We wanted a quick, relaxing getaway from Dublin for just one night and Glenroyal delivered! After spending the morning shopping at the Kildare Outlets we arrived at the hotel a little earlier than expected. Although our room wasn't ready, there was no problem assigning us a different deluxe room. Once we dropped in our shopping bags we took a lovely walk along the canal and enjoyed rambling around Maynooth. Dinner in the Arkle was included in our package and we were blown away by the quality of the food - initially we thought it was a very limited menu choice of 3 starters/mains and dessert but none of the dishes we ordered disappointed. Breakfast too the following morning was excellent. The chef and team there are really terrific. Took in a visit to the adults only pool and spa the following morning and were delighted with that too. Staff throughout the hotel were so accommodating, pleasant and very helpful. We loved it so much we've decided to do it again before Christmas! Excellent quality and value and only a 30 minute drive from Dublin :)

As a regular Irish Hotel Stay Vacationer my stay in the Glenroyal was memorable for all the right reasons. Excellent and friendly staff in all quarters. Lovely comfortable bedroom and immaculate cleanliness throughout the hotel. Very impressed with not one but two top class leisure centres. One for adults only and one for families. I used both and loved them. The location of this hotel is ideal for travelling onwards to many destinations and plenty of complimentary parking. The highlight of my stay however was the amazing food in the Enclosure Restaurant. What a varied menu with a starter of Large Prawns cooked over coals the likes of which I have never eaten! A great selection of mains also with the grilled brill and shellfish sauce slowly cooked with crab claws.cockles and chervil being my choice. Wow is all I can say.. The quality of service was 5 star like the food. My compliments to this unreal Chef and your team in the kitchen as well as Akhil the restaurant manager who was brilliant.. at his job. Anyone living in or around Maynooth who hasn’t sampled that Enclosure experience is in for a real treat when you do so.I will be back and that’s for sure . The friendly atmosphere in this hotel is as good as I have come across and it’s all down to the positive attitude radiated by all the wonderful staff that I encountered? Continued success to you all. Really excellent place to stay. I arrived minus luggage again (thank you Air France) and the hotel were so very helpful. Beautifully clean and well managed. Amazing food. Kid friendly too! The rooms are wrong designed and decorated with taste. Reception staff are especially efficient especially Katie and her colleagues.

What a wonderful hotel and leisure club! This was my base for a cycling break alongside the Royal Canal, which is right next to the hotel. The service was superb, with seemingly every member of staff welcoming, pleasant, good-humoured and helpful. I had two delicious evening meals in the restaurant and three very copious and healthy breakfasts, where I found the loud pop music a slight distraction! I also used the exceptionally well equipped gym and one of the two swimming pools, which was very atmospheric, illuminated in blue. Everything in the complex was very clean and correct. I would like to thank all the staff for my perfect 3-night stay. Diolch yn fawr! John G.
Be the first to ReplyLovely hotel and so family friendly!
We stayed here for a few nights with our 1 year old, from start to finish the service was great! The food was delicious and the staff in the Arkle bar were so friendly!
Our daughter was able to run about the lobby and the receptionists smiled and spoke to her, one male receptionist in particular gave our daughter a little toy which she didn’t put down the whole trip which was so kind of him!
Such a great hotel and walking distance to the Main Street, also has a SuperValu right next to it which is really handy!
The pool was also excellent, overall we had a fantastic stay and will definitely be back. It’s only a short 20 minute drive to Dublin zoo and there is a big soft play 5 mins away.
We didn’t have any complaints, thanks for a great break!
Excellent stay
Stay was excellent from start to finish. Great atmosphere in the bar on Friday evening followed by a fab meal. Great selection on the dinner inclusive menu. Prawns and steak with a minimal supplement. Emmet who served us was fantastic. Nothing was a problem and great banter and interaction. Good selection at breakfast. The only constructive criticism I could give is to have a second barista making coffees as the wait for coffees was the only thing that could be a problem. As a group of ladies away without kids and husbands we didn't mind the wait. Rooms are lovely and bathrooms have great showers along with nice rituals products. Didn't venture to the leisure centre but it looked great. Highly recommend The Glenroyal and will be back. Recommend for families also and great location based in the centre of Maynooth.

Our children bought us the weekend and tickets for the furys as a Christmas present. This is a very nice hotel the staff are super nice the breakfast had great selection hot and cold food. As my husband in his 70s has had surgery and is in a air cast boot we requested a accessible room which was provided. It’s not until you need an accessible room you realise how important the bathroom set up is. The problem was the distance from the room to the reception which was identified at check in but no solution was found. The room was fine the beds really comfortable and clean. The bathroom is really in need of a disabled assessment. There are lots of grab bars but no shelf no toilet roll holder and the wash basin is tiny how anyone in a wheel chair would manage at the sink is a mystery. There was a half a shower curtain around the shower which was accessible. The safe was on the floor of the wardrobe simply impossible to access unless you lay on the floor! There are no storage drawers in the room. All that being said we had a lovely weekend and big shout out to James in the function room who placed two chairs at the back of the room against the wall so my husband would have no problems with mobilising.
