Unexpected pleasure.
Very nicely done, with attentive service, pleasant local Syrah and Grenache, salad, salmon, lovely dessert, and port. We parked the dog outside, and enjoyed a lovely evening.

We live part-time in nearby Sonoma, and the Fig Cafe is our go-to restaurant. The food and service are superb, and it has a comforting vibe. The 3-course prix fixe menu, which changes periodically, for $42 is a steal. The butterscotch pot de creme is worth a trip in itself. Very popular with locals.
Be the first to ReplyThe best of Glen Ellen! So good!
The most delicious meal from start to finish! Our server was knowledgeable, and obviously wants the best culinary experience for the patrons. We left The Fig feeling happy because the experience was so nice and the food is absolutely a pleasure to enjoy!!
Be the first to ReplyAbout as perfect an evening as you could hope for
It's difficult to express how incredible this restaurant is -- from the moment we walked in, it was a delightful experience. The ambience is simple elegance, lively (but not loud) yet still cozy. The server was so fun and knowledgable and guided us to excellent wine and suggested food that paired with it to great effect. Butternut squash soup was out of this world. The steak frites with blue cheese butter was some of the best I've ever had. Desert was mindblowing way to end a perfect night. If I lived in this town, I'd be there once a week. Love love love. Can't recommend highly enough.

We visited on a trip to Sonoma. The food was amazing. We both had the steak & frites as well as a wonderful MacLaren Syrah at our servers suggestion.
Be the first to ReplyCharming cafe in charming village in Sonoma County, worth the drive
A lovely evening out. The restaurant has great vibe, local wine selections were top notch. Shared Starters (peach burrato and fig-arugula salad) were delicious. Even before entrees arrived we were sold! Entrees (ragout short ribs, and chicken thighs) cooked to perfection, with novel, local ingredients. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and happy. We stayed in Glen Ellen and having this quality of restaurant to walk to added to our sweet visit.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Food $15 corkage fee
Small restaurant in town. Make sure you have a reservation as it gets booked up fast as there is only a couple places to eat in Glen Ellen. From previous reviews I guess there was a free corkage for wine. It states $15 corkage fee on menu now Dec 2022.
Be the first to ReplyA must visit when you are anywhere in Sonoma!!!
Nestled in beautiful Glen Ellen, this is a small farm to table/open kitchen, intimate restaurant serving good portions of local cuisine and gourmet twits on familiar favorites like their pizzas. Excellent local wine list. Outstanding personalized service. Felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant. Can't say enough good things about the quality and innovation of the menu and the fantastic service. Reservations required.

The food is beautifully prepared and delicious. They were able to accommodate my complicated food allergies. My food was great. My husband raved about his dinner also.
Be the first to ReplyGREAT FOOD & service!
We had dinner here our first evening. Try the potato and pea pizza and the smoked tomato and bell pepper gazpacho! Great food and service.
Be the first to ReplyGreat little resturant!
The food, wine, and service were great! A wonderful sister site for the girl & the fig restaurant. I wish it were open more hours, but that added to the excitement and uniqueness of the place!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Restaurant!
We weren't sure what to expect with this restaurant...but we have been to it's sister restaurant so we wanted to try it. So glad we did.
The food was amazing, as was the service. This is a small, unassuming place but it was our favorite dinner in Glen Ellen! Get there early, as it fills up fast.
We ended up here for a few hours, and did not feel rushed or pressured by waitstaff. Somewhat limited drink menu (I wish they had more options), but other than that it was an amazing experience.
Fantastic Fig Find-
Takeout during C19 , food was fresh and delish ! Squash risotto oh so yummy! And the fig & arugula salad really good ! Beautiful fig tree growing on corner of property . Would def go back and highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyTakeout during Covid
We ordered takeout. No indoor seating right now.
Salmon and burger were EXCELLENT! The cookie cake seemed stale, but was fun. The watermelon soup was weird and unpleasant like a cup-full of watermelon juice and vinegar.
We would definitely order again, but skip the soup. The curb side pickup was fast and helpful.
Amazing Little Spot Highly Recommend
Food was amazing. Had dinner there twice and the food was great each night. It was three of us and the cozy atmosphere was great. Nicely decorated. You can see the chefs preparing the meals. They also do not charge you to open your wine you bring in from the outside which is a bonus. Their house Syrah wine was also great.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food, free corkage
Same owners as the Girl & the Fig with same quality of food. Daily Plat du Jour is a real value. Small and no reservations but tables turn quickly. Every meal was amazing. Also allow free corkage. Very friendly and excellent service. Will definitely be back... favorite by locals.
Be the first to ReplyGreat little restaurant!
Great little restaurant! Four of us had dinner there and we had really good simple food and wonderful service. Venue is ok, could be a cozy place. Thumbs up!!
Be the first to ReplyYet another superb meal!
Their three-course "plat du jour" would be more commonly called "prix fixe." Anyway, at $31, with no charge for corkage, it's a great deal. Last week, it was roasted beet salad, with fennel, some other veggies, and a vinaigrette dressing; a terrific pork stew (perfect comfort food for a winter night!); and molasses-ginger cake, with fruit compote. We brought a Sokol Blosser pinot noir (sorry, California, but Oregon makes consistently better pinots!). A sensational meal!!
The regular menu is also excellent, especially: crispy chicken thighs, mussels, truffle fries, pot roast, soups, and profiteroles. Lots of peoples order their pizzas and burgers, but I think the other offerings are too good to resist.
The service is also excellent -- competent and friendly.
Great food and no corkage fee
Casual atmosphere, good food. We had the special one night and came back the following night for pizza and mussels. Buy a bottle at a winery and drink it there. They’ll cork it and give you proper glasses.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Restaurant Offers Free Corkage
Made a trip back to the Fig for the first time in a couple of years with local friends. The ambience is casual cool wine country, easy going and inviting. Service was excellent. Corkage is free, so we brought one of our favorite Sonoma pinot noirs. We split the excellent fig, arugula, goat cheese, pancetta and pecan salad ($13) is generous and it easily feed two. I went with the delicious pancetta pizza ($16), which could have feed two (I took half home). My wife had the steak frites, which was the only off note in the meal. She asked for medium well, but the steak came out medium rare. If I had realized it, I would have sent it back for further cooking. All in all, a fun place and excellent evening with friends.
