This is one of my favorites around town. Great atmosphere. We ate here a few weeks ago, I had the Filet which was disappointing, it was a little tough. Last week we came back, my brother-in-law had the ribeye and he was disappointed. My wife and I had the prime rib blackened and it was the best prime rib I ever had. So much flavor! The lobster is very reasonable compared to other restaurants. Our family is visiting and we are going back tonight. Reservations are recommended.

Five of us went to dinner around 7pm. Place was hopping on a Monday night. Senior crowd and I’d go back in a heartbeat! Diana was a quick and informed server, kept drinks filled and table cleared. Prime rib was flavorful, lobster bites delicious and snapper delightful. Upscale flavor, owners in house and excellent food; a rare treat in Myrtle Beach.

First things first- this restaurant is only accessible for
First things first- this restaurant is only accessible for guests or members at the boca resort. We were staying here for a weekend and wanted to try out the major food group collab, and we were not disappointed! All the food we had was incredibly delicious! We had the shrimp cocktail, veal chop, potatoes royale, and a banana split! Everything was super, the only reason I knock off a star is because the portions for proteins were definitely on the smaller side.
Meal was very good. Entrees come with salad, vegetable, bread and potato. All were very good. Couldn't eat it all! The Peach drink was delicious as was my husbands but I forget what it was called. Our waiter Matt was excellent, knowledgeable, pleasant and efficient. We had made reservations to take the family the next day but after being in the car for 4 hours and then the pool, the toddler wasn't ready for a restaurant so unfortunately we could not go the again. Hope to be back next year.
Had dinner here on a Thursday night and we ordered the specials; Grouper Oscar and Snapper. Both fishes were very good. I would not order the mashed potatoes again, they were pasty. The salads were smallish, overdressed and had been sitting on their plates to be served for awhile (at least that’s the way I see it). The two dinners were $90; I expected better. Again I will say both fish were nicely done.
😍
Flamingo Grill is superb
We visit Flamingo Grill when we winter in Myrtle Beach. It is one of our favorite eateries. This recent visit did not disappoint. We recommend making reservations, especially on the weekends. Upon our arrival, we decided to enjoy cocktails at the beautiful bar. The menu is very extensive with several fish and meat options. Our dinners came with salad, bread, and choice of sides. I selected the prime rib, and my husband had the strip steak. Both entrees were delicious , and cooked perfectly to order. For dessert, we shared a luscious chocolate pecan pie.
Tried last year for first time. Was looking forward to visiting again. The she crab soup appetizer was excellent and a good value compared to other restaurants. A plus that several small plate meals are available for those who are not big eaters and makes cost a good value. I had the crab cake small plate and it was delicious. There was more food than I could eat. You get bread with your soup, salad, and meal. The bread was not as warm and soft as it should have been, just OK. Good house salad dressing if you like tangy. My husband got the 6 oz filet topped with crab special which was a little pricey at $41. He was highly disappointed. His steak had gristle running thru it which should never happen with a filet. The Waitress is one of the best! She has been there for years and is amazing.

Great Find on Myrtle Beach

Superior service, excellent food and good price for the quality of food. Great Art Deco decor. Although we were a very small party, the restaurant serviced very large parties efficiently.
.. unfortunately that describes the dinner we had there last Sat night. Nothing great, nothing horrible, just average all around.Place is beautiful, folks are super nice that work there, view and atmosphere on the patio was great. They make a nice stiff vodka tonic, good wine list. Appetizers of Broiled Oysters, Tuna Crudo and Stone crab claws were easily the highlights. Lamb Chops were horribly butchered, fatty, and maybe had one solid bite of meat on each of the 3 chops. Prime rib and filet was average at best.. again not horrible, just ok. Creamed Brussel Sprouts were a good riff on creamed spinach. Service was fine until dessert, when I had to ask a waiter from another table to get the coffee I ordered after dessert was on the table and almost gone after 10-15 mins. I hope they work out the kinks, I know this place is run by a group whose restaurants I have enjoyed very much in other locations. Until then, there are better options for this type of cuisine at this price point.

The Boca Resort was arguably never better than with its
The Boca Resort was arguably never better than with its side dishes, and the same excellence exists here; we had the amazing Cesar salad could eat it forever and the waffle fries are tremendous), and I will return for every other one, soon enough.Oh and the drinks. Epic, across the board. We sampled a couple different margaritas, as well as a couple cocktails including the Highball Perfecto, which might be the best drink I've had in a long, long time. The waiter Alex aka Scott should also have his own show , yes he was that good!! And if sometimes The Flamingo Grill felt like a collection of great individual dishes in search of a cohesive narrative spine, such is not an issue at The Flamingo Grill The whole menu -every last fascinating --1bit of it--makes perfect sense; it feels essential and sure of itself, and that is maybe the best compliment I can give, especially to a restaurant still in its infancy.Took forward to our next visit...which, truth be told, will be tonight, as we're enjoying a stay-cation and can't think of anywhere else!!! Serkan the manager does amazing job , Turkish people know this business!!!
🤢
We had a party of 7 dining on 2/15/23.
Nice ambience, good food, but terrible service and the drinks are way over priced as are some of the entrees. For example, the small portion of branzino was $48.00. I would not go back as this restaurant is very expensive and simply not worth the money,

Hard to Believe We Never Ate Here Sooner
It's hard to believe that despite visiting MB for years and living here for 8 years that we had never been here before Valentine's Day! We will be back!! We had call-ahead seating for 7:30pm. We arrived at 6:50pm and had planned to have a drink at their bar before dinner but learned that the bar was being used for diners, so we had to just wait (that was the only negative to our visit here). We were seated at 7:10pm. Management did a good job of seating people even though it was crowded. They have a good variety (seafood, steaks, prime rib, chicken, sandwiches, and Italian) on their menu. Service was outstanding, our server was Kristen and she was very helpful managing my wife's dinner selections with her food allergy. The prices were reasonable and ample portions. Plus, they had Blanton's bourbon.
Wife and I have eaten here twice in the past 10 days. Food has been excellent both times. Wait staff has been efficient and friendly. Our second time we simply ordered a couple items off the appetizer menu for our meal. We were both satisfied with the amount of food. The she crab soup was superb. Plus we were able to save room for the key lime pie. I absolutely recommend the key lime pie. Price is reasonable for the amount of food. We'll certainly return here.
😍
Owner knows what he is doing
The Flamingo is a gem. The owners certainly know how to run a restaurant. The food was great, the atmosphere wonderful, and the service friendly and efficient. DIno the owner even came by the table to ask how everything was, you don't see that often anymore.
🙂
Delicious dinner and wonderful service! Loved the decor!
Delicious dinner and wonderful service! Loved the decor! Would definitely eat here again
😍
My favorite place in Boca yet.
Not only is the food delicious and the service on point, but the vibes are immaculate. Maybe it's just because I'm currently binge-watching Mad Men, but I loved the 60s glam aesthetic. It pairs well with the top-notch service but suave men in white jackets. We feasted on oysters, ceviche, tartare, and gluten free bread to start; my chopped salad was also great. Everything was quality and tasted fresh. Everyone got different steaks for their main with a smorgasbord of sides to choose from. Simply amazing. Additionally they were great with allergies and made kickass cocktails. Everyone had to "try" my lemon drop every round because it was so tasty. I hope to be back!
🙂
Good restaurant in area
Flamingo is a great spot to check out. I would recommend for a date night, or also if family is in town it is a great menu that will likely accommodate all. For sure worth a visit.
😍
Amazing, I finally can say Boca has an old school steak
Amazing, I finally can say Boca has an old school steak house if you can acutely get in. Legendary food from the tuna crudo, to the bone in 20oz ribeye and let's not forget the potato royal a loaded baked potato served in a casseroledish also the incredable table side banana split don't miss out. The amazing Captain who orchestrated this incredible dining experience is the one and only Capt Scotty. If your making a reservation ask for Capt Scotty he'll make your night into a special night. Legendary food, beverage, and incredible next level service
😍
Just keeps getting better
I visit the Myrtle Beach area in the off season pretty frequently and always plan a visit to Flamingo Grill. The last time I was there was two years ago. Last night I had one of the best experiences there ever. The food was fantastic, a filet for me, prime rib for my dining companion. Both were cooked perfectly, the salads and sides were delicious. It's all included with your meal, a terrific value. Our server was wonderful, the beer was cold and the atmosphere is so festive and fun. The owner stopped by our table to be sure we were happy. That's one reason for their long term success, owners on site. They truly care about their restaurant and their guests.Don't waste time or money going somewhere else. You won't regret it!
🤮
Great service, some terrible food
Our party of 11 visited tonight for my mother in laws birthday. The building and grounds are in need of repair as there is tape across upholstery, mats covering the bricks outside, and more Let me start by saying our service was great. I wish I had gotten our waitress’ name so I could recognize her. The food came out and the person delivering the food poured the au jus from my prime rib all over my shorts and arm. My wife had the flounder Cagney and it was terrible. Multiple people at our table tried and all were agreement that it was bitter and tasted “off”. The overall consistency was like mashed potatoes or pudding. You couldn’t even tell there was fish in there (if there was). Everyone that tried some felt sick to their stomach later on and my wife ended up vomiting because her stomach was so upset. My prime rib was over cooked and charred instead of blackened
🤮
Disrespectful Owner/ Stay Away!
I typically only write a review if it is a positive experience. However, our experience at this restaurant was unacceptable! We are local to the area and have been going to this restaurant for YEARS. We know the food and know what to expect. All my husband wanted for his birthday was Lobster from Flamingo Grill, NEVER AGAIN! The first lobster that came out had absolutely no flavor and almost had a chemical taste. We both work in the Hospitality Industry so we understand food waste and food costs and felt terrible to send it back, but for $30+ dollars we had to. The taller Dino (owner) stopped by our table and touched the lobster and said "oh yeah this is way overcooked I'll get you another one". A new lobster was brought to our table by a food runner and it tasted the exact same way! Again, we've been coming to this establishment for years and we know what the lobster typically tastes like. At this point we just didn't want it because it was truly that bad. My husband felt awful for wasting two lobsters, but they were simply not edible! We understand things like this happen; especially now with food product and shortages but it's what happened next that is making me leave a review. The shorter Dino (owner) proceeded to come to our table and berate my husband about the lobster! He said lobster does not have flavor and he's been serving the same lobster for 40 years. My husband apologized that he wasted the lobster, but again told him we're locals and have been coming for years and know what the lobster tastes like and this was not it! He then yelled that "YES YOU WASTED TWO OF MY LOBSTERS! LOBSTERS DON'T HAVE A TASTE THAT'S JUST HOW THEY ARE!” We were so taken aback by his UNACCEPTABLE behavior! When we informed him that we were told we weren't the first costumers to complain tonight and that something must be wrong with the Lobsters he stormed away to the kitchen. Since they have an open kitchen we could see him screaming at our poor waitress! I couldn't believe what I was watching. Our waitress came back to our table almost in tears and said she thinks she's going to be fired. I felt so bad for her, NO ONE should be treated that way! It is was not her fault that the lobster was either bad or terribly overcooked. To see an owner speak to his employee like that was DISGUSTING! We will NEVER step foot in their establishment again. The food not being good this time we could have look past, but being screamed at by the owner and then watching him scream at his employee not once, but twice is something we will not support! Think twice before giving this business your money. They have been around for many years, but I think it's time the older owner hangs up his hat and lets other takeover. He clearly shouldn't be interacting with customers or employees for that matter. The rest of our food wasn't as good as it used to be either.
🤮
Find another restaurant
I generally never leave reviews, but I felt it too important not to leave one. Keep on driving past this place. The food is under seasoned and over priced and some dishes were just horrible. We ordered the sampler appetizer that included their famous lobster bites. There is no lobster in them. The texture is best described as jelly fish. As a person who grew up in the New England area when you see lobster you expect Maine lobster. I found out from another reviewer that it is slipper lobster. The steaks was cooked well, but had no seasoning. But at least you could add your own salt and pepper. The waitress was in a bad mood and provided poor service. Will not return and recommend you don’t go.

There is new ownership at the Boca Raton Hotel and it's
There is new ownership at the Boca Raton Hotel and it's restaurants. The flaming grill was excellent - service and food.
😒
Disappointing and overcooked
Our server was great - very attentive and friendly. The food was good up until the main meal. Appetizer was delicious and so was the salad. My husband ordered a NY strip (medium) and a well done strip was served. I ordered the grouper special and it was burnt and over cooked. We were really disappointed with our meals and will not return.
😒
Staying at the Boca Raton.
Looking for dinner choices and they are scarce on property unless you're willing to overpay. Wanted Italian but the new restaurant is all booked up. Opted to get a to go order at Flamingo Grill. Asked at the host stand and was sent to the bar at the back. Got there and a bartender asked us how he could help. I said we wanted to place a to go order and a bartender who was ringing someone up whispered something and the other bartender said let's go outside. So we went to the outside seating and stood at that bar to order. Kind of felt like we were being sent to the kitchen door to order. Most places I've been have you order at the host stand and certainly don't treat you like a lesser guest. We decided to have a couple beers while we waited. Food arrived and 20% added to the order. For kicking us outside and ringing up an order? 3 cheeseburgers with fries, 1 kids chicken tenders and 2 beers - $146. There are plenty of choices outside the resort. For our second night we went off property for dinner. Better service, better food and better prices. I asked manager on way out if they frown on to go orders and explained what happened. He got us a free dessert to make up. If you have a car, it's worth going off property to eat.
The atmosphere was great but the food was NOT! We got the prime rib and it was very low grade. We like our prime rib medium rare and while it was mid rare it was very tough and hard to chew. We got a Moscow Mule and Old Fashion for drinks and they were terrible. They put sprite in my husbands old fashion. They also have plastic shields up between each table, which is fine but they weren’t locked at the bottom and would hit yours or the other tables heads constantly. Overall, not a pleasant experience and for what you pay it was absolutely not worth it. We will not be coming back. We were so shocked by their reviews. I literally have written 1 other bad review in my entire time in Trip Adviser because I know how important reviews are but I felt that this needed to be stated on here.
🙂
Finally a good restaurant in Myrtle Beach
My family has been in MB for almost a week now and have been disappointed in the food until we ate at Flamingo Grill. The ambiance was nice and the service was excellent. We started off with an appetizer of fried oysters and they were very fresh and the best seafood we have had so far. For our main course, we all had various steaks (NY strip, prime rib and steak cagney). They were cooked to perfection and actually had flavor. I highly recommend this place.
The atmosphere/decor was great! Very busy night...visited on a Saturday. We ended up sitting at the bar because of the wait. The bartender was great and we felt like the service was as good as sitting at a table. We had the bang bang shrimp which was delicious and the red snapper which was also good. The she crab soup could have been a little more flavorful. Definitely would go back again! Prices were great too!
😍
Beautifully designed restaurant and the food is sublime.
The Porterhouse Steak, Baked Potato or whatever they call it is unique and fantastic. I also like the table side prep of some of the dishes. Steaks are perfectly cooked and highest quality. Beautifully designed restaurant as well as a great indoor and outdoor bar. Service has been mostly excellent and friendly especially Steven at the front of house.
Love the atmosphere and service. Food was fantastic! Scallop pasta was awesome and well as the grouper Oscar. Would definitely recommend!
The atmosphere was very well done, think 1950s Flamingo Hotel in Vegas. Lots of art, fish decor, pictures of old movie stars and lots of low key pink and green neon lights. Our server was excellent his name was Aaron . The food was superb. First we had the Greek style Calamari it was tender and delicious. For our main courses my wife had the Flounder Cagney, I must mention there was a large Picture of Jimmy Cagney the actor on one of the walls, I had the Grouper topped with crab meat. Our food was excellent and cooked to perfection. We will be back next time we are in town.
Good food -great service- Aaron was our server, very pleasant and efficient. Food was very good, had filet and lobster tail. Good value.
😒
You go here just for the view.
Food is overpriced for the quality. Ceviche was good, could have used a bit more acidity. Also ordered the flamingo salad and that was fairly bad... the vegetables tasted old and some had a weird flavor. Salad is also tiny considering they charge almost $20 for it. Staff was very nice and friendly that's why I'm giving it an ok rating. Would only go here for a drink otherwise.

The food is delicious, the service is absolutely atrocious

The food is delicious, the service is absolutely atrocious particularly considering the sky high prices. Our bill for 4 ended up being around $800 (including tip), and yet we had to ask repeatedly for drinks, for menus (!), to place our order (!!), and as well were shunted to the terrace after they couldn't seem to make our original reservation for inside work (we waited for 30 minutes at the bar after being told "we're just clearing the table," which was clearly not the case. The interior is lovely, as is the setting, but for these nose-bleed prices there are surely better options.
