OMG
I was taken here for a birthday lunch today. Without doubt the best meal I've had in 20 years or more. There is not one thing to fault here. Superb service, attentive without being intrusive. A lovely helpful Sommellier (if I've spelled that correctly). And the food was absolutely superb. You can see it all being cooked as the kitchen is completely open to the diners, not to mention the beautiful scandic vibe to the decor too. Just perfect. The chocolate mousse in particular was incredible, light but so clearly fresh made and the best bread I've ever tasted is baked on site too. I'm in food heaven. You absolutely have to try this little gem of a place. I only wish I could add photos, but I forgot my phone and my friend hasn't sent hers to me yet 🙄🙄 Enjoy xxx

This restaurant is a gem, and so well worth a visit. The food is delicious and the staff are unreal.
Worth every penny!
Amazing
We were given a voucher by our daughter and son-in-law. One of the best meals ever served by friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Absolutely delicious from start to finish (especially the scallops). My husband runs a tour company in Royal Deeside and has many American clients - we will certainly be suggesting they try and book a table. A great night after a very stressful week. Thank you

Roberta is a food magician. Cocktail, starter, main course to dessert were surprising me in each so many different ways. It was a highly satisfied experience. I will definitely go back soon. I need to successfully book a table first.

We have been meaning to visit Little Chart Room for some time, but it was always booked, so we planned well ahead for this visit for an anniversary. It did not disappoint. The décor is fairly spare but the restaurant had a good atmosphere and we were made welcome. The staff were attentive, the menu interesting and the food outstanding. We really enjoyed our choices on the 3-course menu and enjoyed a good bottle of wine. The chef, Roberta, also came to speak to us, which was really nice, and was very friendly. It seemed to be a very happy kitchen (in full view, and with opportunities to take bar seats with a kitchen view). We will return very soon.

Cant agree with the two previous reviews - we came here for a birthday celebration and it is the 'small important things' that show the quality of an establishment - the bread and gorgeous veg just two of those things - the food was excellent.A good wine list and the welcoming service in smart modern premises was appreciated - good to see a place like this flourishing after all the difficulties of the last two years.

Sadly very disappointing. Food was fine but at 'exceptional' prices. For a truly fine dining we would expect to be wowed by the flavours and presentation. Not one element stood out for us except the cost. At other top end restaurants we have visited it has been a truly memorable experience but this was nowhere near. Even standard touches within fine dining like amuse bouche were missing and the service was unremarkable and deadpan at best. The whole place lacked any personality and considering it was an open kitchen there wasn't any of the colour and energy you would expect. They should either improve the food and the experience or lower their prices.

I note a string of 5 star reviews following some which were less enthusiastic. Our review is in line with the latter. The food was good. I had a lovely crab starter followed by a cod dish as my main course which was also very nice. My wife had cabbage for a main course which although acceptable was light years from fine dining. The price of the wines in my view was out of line with other fine dining restaurants.
I also agree with other contributors who felt that the touches you would expect of a fine dining restaurant were lacking - no amuse bouche; no-one brushed the table clear of crumbs etc. Overall it did not feel like a fine dining experience - except for the price!
Worth the wait!
Fantastic evening at The Little Chartroom. Both the atmosphere and the food massively exceeded expectations. It was lovely to be greeted by Roberta herself upon arrival. Loved the fluid approach to kitchen and front of house service. The chocolate brownie meringue tart was a highlight.

We had a great meal here over Christmas. The crab starter, duck for main and donut pudding were all delicious. The atmosphere was also great. We loved the open kitchen and Roberta served our starters. Will definitely be going back
