Love the experience here! Creative dishes that are really too pretty to eat. Excellent customer service! My husband and I celebrated our 40th birthdays here and it was an unforgettable experience. Support this business once they are up and running again! I think the Napa fire has affected them immensely.

After dining here during the Twelve Days of Christmas 2019 event, I was completely blown away by near everything. From the valet, to the warm welcome on a cold rainy night, to the exquisite drinks in the bar at the front, to the contemporary modern design, it felt like every detail was accounted for. As a designer and photographer myself, I found it difficult to see sometimes due to the extremely high contrast in lighting from the floor to the ceiling, and some of the guests dining with us even had to ask a waiter to hold a flashlight for them. Personally, the ambience throughout was perfect for a cold rainy night in late December. Given the notorious title of longest running 3-star Michelin restaurant in the world, one would have the highest of expectations leading into the night and would find it hard to complain about near anything. For the evening, our total bill came out to just over $2,000; a price tag those who have been lucky enough to score a reservation understand and fully acknowledge before visiting. Despite the already monstrous amount of money per person for the meal ($300/person) it would add another $300/person for the first level of wine pairings, which we all obliged in taking. Although it may seem a bit ridiculous to pay the same amount for 4-5 glasses of various alcoholic beverages as a large multi-course meal, it was truly, and I mean fantastically incredible. To have an experienced and certified sommelier care for the drink pairings from the first and second courses to the main courses all the way to dessert, it was absolutely worth the price tag. Not to forget the service, every person we interacted with at the restaurant was very professional and they all seemed to take care of every detail with ease. I suppose it happens to be a given at restaurants of this caliber, so I find it repetitive to talk about the training in relationship-making these hard-working people have gone through for years. If we were to be a bit picky, it seemed as though you could have no choice on water selection as we requested Evian and was told it was not available. Additionally, the consommé brought out seemed to be lukewarm despite its incredible presentation and arrangement. And to be fair to the guests I had brought with me, the lighting was a bit dark and was hard to make out which server was ours. Overall, TRAM was a once in a lifetime opportunity and if they can rebuild around their community and grow even further than before after this heartbreaking tragedy, I would give my highest of recommendations to visit here when it reopens.

Oh no! The Restaurant at Meadowood burned down in the Glass Fire! I was very fortunate to visit here before the pandemic and had not had a chance to commend the innovative food and attentive service. I hope they rebuild and reopen soon.

Saddened by the news this morning that the restaurant was burned down in the Glass fire, so even though it is rather meaningless at this moment, I wanted to leave a review from our meal there this month. We both left there in agreement that it was the best tasting menu we ever had. Those Michelin stars were all deserved! You could tell there was mastery behind each dish, with each ingredient carefully thought out as it was put together. The staff was fantastic and the outdoor environment made for a wonderful al fresco dining experience. Hoping everyone is safe and wishing them a future rebuild. We'll be first in line.

When I look back at the various Michelin starred restaurants I've been blessed enough to eat at over the years, the thing that will stand out to me about Meadowood was the uniqueness of their menu. When I read the other yelp reviews here and see the lower number of stars in some reviews to me that signals a bit of controversy and debate and it really amounts to how open you are to tasting something truly different. If you are that kind of person than Meadowood is a wonderful choice for you. From freshly picked vegetables brought to you raw to intricate and minor details that you have to really pay attention to to appreciate; Meadowood will provide you an experience unlike any other. Amongst any multi-course dinner there are going to be dishes you like and others that don't meet your taste prefernces. But I will say that the ones that standout here are absolutely some of the greatest dishes I've had anywhere in the world. The service was absolutely top notch and the location and beauty of the restaurant, grounds and all else can't be beat. Oh and if you are lucky enough you might get to tour the kitchen and hear them blaring NWA or Ice Cube as they work their magic. Seems like a fun environment.
Be the first to ReplyLet me start off by saying what a beautiful property.
I really wish I could say my experience was wonderful just like others have mentioned however that's not the case. Be on time for your reservation. My sister and I had reservations for dinner at 7:30 a few weeks ago. We arrived 8 minutes late. Our table was given away!! We are not from the area. Staying local however our driver got lost. Celebrating my sisters engagement and chose Meadowood from a list of places recommended by our hotel. After speaking to the "host" and being offered a later time we decided to leave. Maybe if my sister and I were wearing a Rolex, we would have been seated sooner rather then later.

This is an amazing place especially with the outdoor seating during this time. Not those fusion overly creative. Most dishes are cooked in perfect timing and plated in grand mother style plates/bowls.Honestly think the gluten free deserts were the highlights. My favorite dishes were the appetizers plus the black cod. It's extremely soft and delicious. The quail didn't disappointed either. However the beef dish at the end was fairly greasy and not tender enough. My husband was surprised they didn't use Kobe beef for that dish. The beef dish was probably both of our least favorite among all. Of course you do have to pay for Napa prices. For me, this is fairly expensive and I am still hungry after this meal. $360 a person before wine pairing. Wine pairing can be either $300 or $600Presentation 2 stars Taste and flavor. 4 starsCreativity 3 starsPrice 2 stars - really hoped for more dishesService 5 startsI have been to many Michilen restaurants, and US have been the bottom of my list. I guess because it's usually a lot more expensive plus the tips and some do ask for other fees. Other countries usually offer more exotic dishes. American foods can be slightly similar after hundreds of restaurants for me. Of course this place can be amazing for people who have smaller appetite.

At Meadowood, we weren't sure what to expect with an entirely outdoor dining experience at a restaurant that normally operates inside, but the team at Meadowood pulled it off beautifully! All the staff wear masks and took all the health protocols. The dishes were creative and fresh straight from the garden. I left feeling satisfied and inspired to create my own garden one day. My favorite dishes from the menu were the black cod, grilled cumber geoduck, and the abalone with chanterelle mushrooms. Be the first to ReplyFinally, got a chance to dine here.
Although the circumstances are not ideal these days for dining out, they have moved their dining location to beautiful backyard lawn setting. Would have been even more awesome if there was live jazz going on :) After a few months of complete lockdown, some restaurant started offering outside/patio dining per the social distance guidelines, and we thought to come here. Of course, health and safety have been a prime concern, so they have put tables far enough apart. All the staff wear masks. We didn't go for wine pairing (I generally never take wine pairing). We picked Paul Bara Brut reserve to start with. I got a bourbon cocktail afterwards and we got a demi bottle of bordeaux to share. Everything was awesome.. They try to keep it a surprise and don't give you menu until the end, but I had already seen the menu and kinda surprised them with my knowledge of the dishes haha ;) I would say wagyu, souffle, quail and cod were my favorite among all the dishes..

The service was great!!!! The deserts were the highlight of the entire meal but the thing is if it wasn't a Birthday celebration... there only would have been 1 amazing desert, that being the best soufflé I've ever had and an incredible yuzu ice cream birthday cake. The food was good but mostly I enjoyed the eating outside aspect of the experience. There was a cold quail and sunflower dish that is meant to be eaten cold... this while not bad was not something I'd think people would really enjoy. The quail is cooked nicely but when served gold it brings out the chicken flavor. Quail is really one of my favorite special occasion proteins. If they did this dish warm with a sweet sauce it would much better. Also it seemed the first half of the meal was heavy on the finger food. It's covid19 so I brought only Clorox wipes and had the chemicals on my hands. They had wipes of water and lemon juice and that's fine but definitely not a sanitizer wipe like they advertise being available this means I had to rely on only my Clorox wipes. I asked for a finger bowl of water/soap they couldn't provide it and only had water and lemon wipes. It's a little funny that people think water and lemon is sufficient for guests sanitizer against covid19 . Good I had my own 70% sanitizer. Let's just say I didn't get that amazing Yuzu ice cream birthday cake... I would have put this review at 3 stars. Still overall it was good during covid19 to do something like a courses menu outside and the other parts to the meal were good. Also if they had one main dish slightly 1-2 ounces bigger it would have been just the right amount of food. Once again if we Didn't get the ice cream cake... it also would have been too light of a meal. That cake really saved the experience for me it satisfied my appetite and ended the meal off with a strong finish. If you don't get the birthday you'll likely be wondering when the next dessert is coming.Overall if I noticed meadowood comes out with a totally different menu I would try again.By the way the eggplant and caviar was a very successful course, the bread with it wa
